machoo mann blogging here again, this time about FCW's the most captivating wrestler and persona, Dean Ambrose. I wasn't quite aware of Jon Moxley (his in-ring name at CZW) nor his ring work or matches there. I recently have watched some FCW footage and most of all, I studied Dean Ambroses path from his debut to current time at FCW. He has had great matches, of course with the likes of Seth Rollins (match is posted below), Damien Sandow and even William Regal, whom with he had a great, brawl-styled match which stood out for me with it's stiffness. His movement in the ring is something I haven't witnessed before - it's unique and captivating at the same time and also very refreshing when you have watched WWE TV-matches a lot. Because we all know WWE TV-matches are all quite similar in-ring wise. His moveset is very brawl-sound; lariats, stiff punches but still he can play great in-ring psychology.

Now to the part what got me to jump in Ambroses bandwagon; the persona. Something which not a lot of WWE's current roster members are familiar of. He plays some sort of a loose cannon, if you will and he's doing it damn well. His facial expressions, manures, it's like he is cocky and a little out of it at the same time. It's not a coincidence that he's referred to guys like 'Rowdy' Roddy Piper or the great Brian Pillman. He has cut some great promos (my favourite one is posted under) and he reminds me of Heath Ledgers Joker (yes really, even Sting's Joker-impression is put in shame.) By the way, did you know that some of the FCW guys can cut a better promo than almost a 30 % of WWE's current roster. And there I was last week, shouting for a opportunity for the lower midcard..oh the irony! Ambrose is almost like brothers with the microphone and his persona shines through his promos.

But isn't this what the WWE needs? Something unique, someone who stands out of the mass. Well FCW is upbringing a great amount of superstars who are also charismatic and can wrestle. Ambrose, Rollins, Sandow and my favourite also, Antonio Cesaro to name a few. Apparently WWE management are quite high on these guys and it doesn't suprise me one bit. These guys will hopely build a new path for WWE and bring back the quality wrestling on weekly basis. I will not demand for these guys to be elevated right away. This kind of talent should be handled with care, these guys will be the next rising stars of WWE. But you all should check out the FCW footage of Dean Ambrose, I recommend it highly! Thanks for reading and comment below.

It's widely knowledged that WWE's lower midcard and jobber division has some of the most underrated performers and a wide spread of talented wrestlers who for some reason can't get over. Their wrestling ability doesn't get between them and stardom, whereas does their mic-skills and lack of personality. The biggest problem in the lower midcard is that the guys are not so rememberable (even though we have our fair share of dull wrestlers or in better words, dish rags in the midcard.)

So what is the 'oh so grand' mistakes that lower midcarders have made during their path onwards and upwards? The little personality and interaction with the crowd is forced and it only comes across a little awkward. For example, we have Tyson Kidd vs. Michael McGillicutty @WWE Superstars. Tyson gets his fury of offence and showcases his innovative moves. The crowd gets a little fired up. Then it's the faces turn to interact with the crowd. Tyson gives a little scream: "yeaah, lets go!" which gets the crowd fired up a little but the reaction itself falls flat. Sure the amount of exposure is extremely small with these lower midcarders and the knowledge about these performers is almost nonexistent amongst the mainstream WWE audience.

Then we get to the atmosphere that I feel during these matches. These guys perform always well, they have solid matches with nice finishes. But the lack of personality can also be explained with the situation these wrestlers are in. The uncertainty about what future holds, it's almost they're wrestling on razors edge. Creative has nothing going for you, youre stuck in Superstars or NXT having nice lenghty matches but still, breaking through is extremely tough (it shows with the 'trying to get over' by social media).

Sure these guys don't have great personality and their mic-skills are subpar at best but what is a damn shame it's that the lower midcard helds some of the best in-ring performers in the WWE right now. Tyson Kidd, Curt Hawkins, Joe Hennig (I refuse to use the other name, eventhough it sometimes has a nice ring to it), Justin Gabriel, Tyler Reks, Heath Slater and even Trent Barreta, who can have a good match with almost anyone. It would be a mockery to pro wrestling as itself to let these guys slide without giving them a decent shot, gimmick to work with and airtime. If WWE went on to push Brodus Clay with some squash matches and video packages only to see that it didn't go anywhere, why not to take a leap of faith with some of these guys?

The problem is simple; lower midcard are like huge grey mass. Nobody stands up, nobody is simply given a chance to stand up. If someone tries to show some character it comes across a little clumsy and forced. But I'm sure that somewhere in the midcard there are two, three, four or hopely five guys who are willing to grasp to something bigger than NXT or Superstars. Honestly, these guys can give it a go and what is more nicer than a good' ol Cinderella-story?

Curt Hawkins - Unsung, underrated, underappriciated?

He was one of the Major Brothers, one of the Edgeheads during the supreme reign of La Familia, WWE Tag Team Champions along his former buddy Zack Ryder and then dominated Friday nights for a while with Vance Archer as the Gatecrashers. Then, a brief run as a singles competitor, mainly wrestling @WWE Superstars. There he had two of the most finest pure wrestling matches I have seen put on WWE's televised shows. A small tease of Hawkins and Ryder comeback but finally Hawkins solified his spot in a tag team with Tyler Reks. Reks, who is also no doubt a great performer has been teaming with Hawkins for a good two to four months now.

Don't get me wrong, a solid tag team will get you some airtime compared being a lowcard jobber but Hawkins has potential and starpower to be more than just a glorified tag team wrestler. Has he ever had a lengthy single run, or has he been always teaming up with someone? Hawkins makes his wrestling seem so effortless and he has nice, innovative moveset. But how WWE, how can a wrestler who puts forth this kind of performance;

is forced to job to Funkasaurus, who didn't even go over? It's time to invest to these younger superstars. Sure it's been widely said within WWE that the unwillingness of the midcard superstars being elevated is one of the reasons that WWE is very careful with these pushes. But when it comes to guys like Hawkins who try hard to go over using social media and just busting one's ass in NXT or Superstars, wouldn't it be time to try to give them an opportunity? Hawkins isn't the only guy deserving a shot for elevating but he certainly has all the tools for it.

When these big main eventers and veteran midcarders are not able to give it a go, it's time for the younger stars to rise. But they need their TV-time; they sure as hell can work a match so why wouldn't Zeke and Otunga visit NXT for a while and WWE giving the real talent a chance to shine?
