Hey fans. DK Wrestling Savior here with another edition of Coffee Talk. It's been quite a while since I posted as I've been very busy with school and work and my daughter. I am proud to announce that, school is finished and in a week, I learn whether or not if I am a college grad at the ripe age of....well, let's just say, too old. I've basically pulled all A's and a B this semester so unless I completely bombed my finals to a point of disaster, I'd say it's a safe bet I'll be receiving my degree in a few weeks. It's quite an accomplishment and I'm very proud to have finally reached this milestone.

But enough about that. It's time to grab your cup of joe, latte, capuccino, steamer, espresso, whatever your poison is, and let's enjoy some Coffee Talk.

I've been away from the blog scene but I've kept up to date. I've followed the forums and blogs and I've read some really awesome stuff from some awesome people. One popular topic I've noticed recently is the pushing of certain superstars. And while I'm in favor of pushing superstars who deserve to be pushed, it's a very opinionated circumstance. Who should be pushed and why. But it's not so much just that. There's the other side of the coin. If you're going to push certain people, that means you have to de-push others. And I've heard certain reasons like, "this guy is a workhorse" or "this guy has paid his dues". The thing about these statements is, the people who have been pushed currently have worked just as hard and paid just as many dues. So I'm throwing a question out there. As you can see in the title, that question is, "What's so great about" and then we'll fill in the blanks with a few popular guys that "need to be pushed".

So I'm gonna start this one off with one that may make everyone's eyes pop out of their heads. What's so great about...Fandango? I, for one, don't understand Fandangoing by any means. I think it was a fluky little thing that was brought on by the crazy NY fans on the night after Wrestlemania and I think it's already fading fast. But listening to Jerry Lawler and Michael Cole, you'd never realize that. They're pushing it like it's the hottest thing to ever grace God's green earth, and it's already getting to the point of being shoved down our throats. I get that Johnny Curtis is a good wrestler and all, but the gimmick is really just unimpressive at best. What happens with Fandango when his feud with Jericho finally ends? No more playing off Dancing with the Stars. Then where does Fandango go? Is a ballroom dancer really destined to be a top star? I, for one, am way off the bandwagon on this one. I don't see it at all.

What's so great about...Wade Barrett? I think people want him to be something that he currently is not able to be. I always hear references like "he's got the size that Vince likes" or "he's got great mic skills". Really? Great mic skills? I think he's somewhat okay on the mic. His ring skills are pretty bland though. He does have nice size but really lacks charisma. He's one of those that I feel looks the part, but can't really be the part. He was good as the leader of Nexus...for about two weeks. Then, all the references of "a greater purpose" just got old...especially since we never found out what that purpose was. Now he's the IC champ and honestly, I think he's where he needs to be at this point in time. He's a midcarder right now. I don't see much more out him, at least for the forseeable future. I don't see him getting higher than where he is now, by the time next Wrestlemania comes around. His time may come, as it probably should, but right now, I think more storylines in the midcard scene revolving around the IC Title will do him a world of good. I don't see main event scene for him anytime soon though.

What's so great about...Tyson Kidd? I'm going to be honest here. I watch Raw and Impact. Once in a while, I'll catch Smackdown if I hear something good happens. I follow nothing else. Not Main Event. Not NXT. Not Superstars. I don't know where the sudden love for Tyson Kidd came from, but let's get real. It is basically a scientific fact that ring ability alone doesn't get you real far in WWE. What else does he bring that he needs this push? Is it more because CM Punk mentioned his name in a fake pipe bomb a while back? I don't know. Punk obviously follows the IWC trends because he mentioned Kidd in order to gain acceptance. In all honestly, I don't see much for Tyson Kidd accept perhaps teaming with someone if the WWE wants to invest more into the tag team division. Other than that, I don't see him surpassing Justin Gabriel in status.

What's so great about...The Shield? Uh Oh. Did I just say that? Did I really go there? Yes, I went there. If there's one thing that bugs me above all else, it's people who worship The Shield, and will turn around and rip Aces & Eights. I get it they are TNA haters and all, but other than numbers, they are the exact same thing. And as I've said many times, that Aces & Eights needs to do more than just the gang beatdowns, the same principal goes for The Shield. I've seen about as many 3 on 1 gang beatings as I can take at this point. The constant three-man tag matches and serious endorsements they're getting on commentary are becoming annoying. They need something to do now. How much longer will we see The Shield in a 6 man tag match against a makeshift team of 3 guys? What was it on Raw? The Usos and Kofi Kingston? Really? That tells what story? That serves what purpose? How about a tag match against the Usos? Or a singles match against Kofi Kingston? Wouldn't they have done more for The Shield than a six man tag match? And what about their feud with Team Hell No? How is it they are feuding with Kane & Bryan and whoever they throw in there with them, and then later on, play a part in the Cena/Ryback feud with no Kane & Bryan in sight? I'm just not sure how that works. The Shield, in my eyes, has to do something more and show a little more diversity. I believe Stale is the popular word for what they are becoming. At least in my eyes. I know they're popular on here, I just don't see it. I was intrigued in the beginning, but it's starting to get repetitive now and that this point, I just don't see what's so great about them. Again, i hear the popular praises on mic skills, but really, they talk. Not much more than just talk. Perhaps future stars in the making but, I don't see stardom in them right now.

Where there you have it folks. My cup of joe is now empty. Take this blog for what it is, my opinion. I'd love to hear your answers to my question of What's So Great About...

I hope enjoyed this edition of Coffee Talk. Thank you for reading everyone and Be Safe!

Hey fans. DK Savior here, way ahead of his homework this week and had time to do a special edition of Sudden Impact. Though this should be more of a Coffee Talk, I've decided to do this TNA focused blog without doing a report on what was a very hyped, yet, someone deflating episode of Impact from Corpus Cristi, TX. The 2 out of 3 falls turned out to be a pretty decent match even after the first 2 falls were done in about a minute. The TLC match was also good with the spots, but lacked that climatic feel. The rest was sort of...ehhh. But that's not the point for this week's blog. The point is adding certain relevancies. And I'll tell you what I mean by that.

It's no secret that Devon wears a title around his neck that hasn't been defended in months. This lack of a mid-card title generates pointless matches that are looked at as more like grudge matches. The lack of this mid-card title relevancy is hurting TNA in my opinion. There's too many people on the roster with virtually nothing to do. Not everything can be about the war with Aces & Eights, the conflicted AJ Styles, and wrath of Matt Morgan. It seems that wrestlers who aren't directly involved with these three main storylines are left off Impact way too much. And that's where the TV Title can come into play. Let's look at some contenders that could vie for that title.

Devon: Reigning Television Champion

Devon, much like the majority of his Aces & Eights brothers, hardly ever wrestles. He's been television champ for several months but also hasn't defended it in several months. Hopefully, Joseph Park pulls some legal mumbo jumbo to make him defend it.

Joseph Park: Likely Next Contender

If what I said above holds true, then perhaps Joseph Park will be the first to get a TV Title shot in forever. Since Devon suckered him this past week, I'm hoping he gets that shot. I'm not saying he needs to win it, but the title surely needs to be defended.

Rob Terry: The Next Mid-Card Favorite

Rob Terry made minced meat out of Joey Ryan this past week. I find it to be a sad thing considering the great storytelling they did with Joey Ryan to bring him in, just to have him be irrelevant. But former Bigger Rob would make a nice TV Champ. People are starting to like him and if he holds that title and is on tv more, he could get a decent following and the tv title could be one of those stepping stones that could maybe get him to the next level.

Christian York: Time to Leave the X-Division

I like Christian York. But I don't feel his style meshes well in the X Division, especially with the new X Division rules. He's clearly much slower than his counterparts and looks awkward trying to do some of the crazier moves that typical X Division wrestlers do. He's built well and I think pursuit of a mid-card title would suit him much better.

Robbie E: Former TV Champion

Robbie's feud with Bigger Rob should be finished now. I think Rob Terry has created that separation and is ready to move on. This should bring Robbie back into the division. He's not an X Division guy and I don't ever see him in the World Title picture. So, the only goal for him is this mid-card title.

Eric Young: A Return to the Title Picture

Let's face it. At this point, Eric Young is not a viable contender for Bully Ray. And with moving away from the war with Aces & Eights, EY should return to get his title back. In fact, he could be the next true contender if they don't go with Joseph Park. This way, he still battles A&E, and gets himself into that title picture. The new, serious Showtime Eric Young, would make a great TV Champ and we'd get to see him much more.

Samoa Joe: Giving Him a Goal

Samoa Joe is someone I've been waiting for to get a World Title shot and it just never seems to happen these days. He falls short in the BFG series and gets involved in being one of 4 or 5 guys to battle Aces & Eights. He's popular and should be held in much higher regard. He's someone I can see taking to TV Title back into the realm of relevancy.

Magnus: Another One who Needs a Goal

Magnus' popularity has increased since his return during TNA's UK Tour. While he's been involved in the war with A&E, and meshing well with his former tag partner, Samoa Joe, I don't see these two reforming a tag team and pursuing that title. He needs something to work toward. He's not used enough and he, like Joe, could definitely bring relevancy back to that title.

DOC: The Big Man Enforcer of Aces & Eights

Aces & Eights don't fight enough. They do more gang attacks than having actual matches. I think DOC is getting lost in the shuffle with this approach. He's a big, strong guy and would be perfectly suited for a mid-card title like the TV Title. He would obviously not fight Devon for the title, but if Devon loses the belt, DOC can become a contender for it. Devon, as the SGT in Arms and Bully's brother and right hand man, he can definitely get involved in other things that don't involve a mid-card title and still be relevant. DOC on the other hand, needs something like this. And I'd much rather seem him working at this, rather than being thrown into a make-shift tag team with Knux or something like that.

So there you have it. I've just listed several guys who would make up a nice division for the mid-card title that currently doesn't really exist in TNA. It's a title that needs to exist though. Much like how WWE needs something for guys like Kofi Kingston, Wade Barrett, and R Truth to fight for. TNA needs the same thing. There's too much actual talent who can be utilized and it also gives more for the fans to focus on. If all we focus on is Aces & Eights and AJ Styles, that's where stale comes into play. The TV Title. It needs to become relevant once again.

I hope enjoyed this rather unique edition of Sudden Impact. I've got 4 weeks until graduation, then I'll be able to blog more reguarly with it.

Hey fans. Savior here with my requested follow up to the CM Punk vs Undertaker match at lastnight's Wrestlemania. Just to recap, a few week's ago, I posted a Coffee Talk blog revolving around this feud and my expectations weren't very high for this match. Was I right? Was I wrong? Let's jump into it shall we?

Before I get started, I just want to note that in my Coffee Talk from Saturday, I made a few predictions about circumstance at WM. I was half right about Orton. I was dead on about Dolph Ziggler. I was dead on about Team Hell No. I was mostly right about Undertaker. And I was dead wrong about Cena. But, enough gloating. This is about CM Punk vs Undertaker.

I am always the first to admit when I'm wrong. But wait. I'm not admitting that here. I just have a few questions. Was the Punk/Taker match good? YES. Did it exceed my expectations? YES. Was it the match of the night and the show stealer? Well, that's really up for interpretation. The match, while good, wasn't anything I would consider to be memorable. I'll be honest, I was more on the edge of my seat in anticipation of Brock possibly tapping out to his own submission hold. That was certainly a "come on...tap...TAP" type of ending. It wow'd me much more than any point in the Punk/Taker match.

The thing about the Punk/Taker match was, while it was predictable that Taker wasn't going to lose, there was no point where you would think..."well, Maybe". The match paled in comparison to Taker's last 4 WM matches. Sure, it wasn't a no holds barred match and all that like the Taker's last 4. But I won't lean on that as an excuse by any means. Did anyone actually think Taker might not kick out of the Urn shot to the head? I didn't. So when he did, I wasn't all like..."awwwwww. so close.". When Punk had the Anaconda Vice locked in, I never thought Taker would even come close to tapping. In fact, if you ask me, when Taker sat up while in it, that should've ended the match right there. It would have been so much more fitting. But, I'm not going to make some lame attempt to analyze.

The fact is, the match was good. From start to finish, it was probably the best match of a night full of matches that weren't all that great. But keep in mind. I'm not one who thinks that everything CM Punk touches turns to gold. Some felt it stole the show. Some think that this match proves Punk deserves to be considered one of the greats. I read someone say Punk is the best heel ever. I think Punk is a good wrestler and he performed well, but I'm not going to reach. Punk isn't one of the greats in my mind. He's got a long way to go if he ever wants to reach even the second tier level of the Edge's, Guerrero's, Angle's, and Benoit's of the wrestling world. My opinion on him isn't a popular one but, it is what it is. Punk is God to some, but he's third tier to me.

I also stated that I would laugh hysterically if Punk kicked out of even one tombstone. I will say I didn't, because it was sold in a way where Taker didn't exactly get all of it. So I was able to buy it. I was also pleased to see the send off to Paul Bearer and a crying Undertaker in the ring to close it out.

Finally, Taker's entrance was purely amazing. Rising from the ground and the souls reaching up from below. That was Bad Ass. Taker's entrances never disappoint.

Well, there you have it. It's my follow up, as promised. I hated every aspect of the build to this match. It makes me wonder how they would've built it if Paul Bearer didn't pass on. There wasn't much of a story to tell with these two because there was no history or real legacy about it. But, we got the Undertaker getting the urn back and now, no more mocking Paul Bearer. He was a great person in the world of wrestling. At comic con last year, he shook my hand and let me take his picture and didn't once ask me to buy an autograph or anything like. Pure class act. RIP Paul Bearer.

The new season starts tonight. Let's see what WWE will bring.

Thanks for reading everyone. Be Safe!

Hey Wrestling Fans. DK Savior here with the final Coffee Talk before Wrestlemania. The season was a long one. One filled with seemingly lackluster build and little to no real drama. Nothing since the Royal Rumble really WOW'd me and by reading blogs and forums, it seems I'm not alone. But not withstanding, we are approximately 24 hours from Wrestlemania. And many, MANY predictions that have come out. Some were pretty good. Some were out there a little. But one thing I've noticed is, alot of them are driven by the reports that come out on these sites. So, I figured I'd give some of my own predictions. However, this will be in true Coffee Talk format and I won't be predicting the outcomes of the matches, but I will instead be predicting some of the highly anticipated circumstances that some are predicting, or hoping, will happen.

So grab your cup of joe, your latte, espresso, capuccino, steamer, or whatever your poison is. Spike it w/ whiskey if you want. And let's enjoy some Coffee Talk....WRESTLEMANIA EDITION!!!!

Let's start this off with Good Ol Dolphy. Will Dolph Ziggler be a shining star at Wrestlemania? Will he walk out of there a Double-Champion? In a single word...NO. I do not think so. This Wrestlemania, much like last year, is revolving more around the cornerstones of the company. The Part-Timers, as I've heard them referred to as on many occasions. Here's what I think will happen with Dolph. I believe that Ziggler and Big E Langston will lose the Tag Title Match. And that will pretty much be the last that we see with Dolph Ziggler tomorrow. I cannot foresee any scenario where he will "Steal The Show" and in essence, steal the spotlight from Cean/Rock or HHH/Lesnar. Wrestlemania tends to be about the moments but much of the stories moving forward tend to start the night after, as the new season begins. I believe the moments will be saved for Cena or Rock, Lesnar or HHH, and The Undertaker. However, I can definitely see something the next night, where Dolph cashes in. Possibly. What do you guys think?

Okay, I'm going to let my Ziggler commentary sort of be a bridge into my next question. Will Team Hell No break up at Wrestlemania? I do not think so. Instead, I think they will keep them together, and arguing how they tend to do, but ultimately, this will be about Daniel Bryan sticking it to AJ. I can see a more in-depth feud between Ziggler and Bryan happening in the new season, but I think this will be a match that just comes and goes with Team Hell No keeping the belts and we'll move on. Would you agree with this?

Now this next one is one of the more popular topics and predictions recently. But this is also one I feel is being more driven by "rumors" or "reports" than anything else. Will Randy Orton turn heel? Will he be revealed as the leader of The Shield? I will say this. We've been reading reports that a Randy Orton heel turn is in the works for about a year and a half now. I know the IWC loves a heel Orton and he can be vicious and all that. But there's also something to really consider here. Orton as a heel, was very evil. He did crazy things and many of those are things we won't typically see on PG WWE TV. I think Orton is ready to get back into the main event scene again. I think he's long overdue. But the thing is, he doesn't need to turn heel and screw over the face team vs The Shield to do that. He can do it as a face. Let's be real. He's very over as a face. I ultimately think they will tease it a little, but The Shield will win the match with some dirty antics and Sheamus and Orton will have disagreements. This will lead to a feud post-WM and that's when the heel turn will happen, be it Sheamus or Orton. That's my take on it.

Will The Streak come to an end? I have been very down on this feud mostly because I'm against the use of Paul Bearer's death as an angle. However, I commented on another blog or a forum or something earlier this week and I was given some real perspective. A beautiful send-off for Paul Bearer. Undertaker wins. Punk tries to escape with the urn and Kane stops him. The Brother's of Destruction unite in the win. They do a send-off to Paul Bearer in front of a huge crowd and it ends with "Thank You Paul" chants. As for the match? Well, I promised to follow up after the match and I intend to keep that promise. So I will leave it at that, and not talk about how good or bad the match might be. If reports are true that Punk is taking time off after Mania, I can see a vicious beatdown at some point. But once again, a perfect bridge into my final prediction.

And now, the most anticipated question, concern, and in some cases, hope, coming out of this Wrestlemania. Will John Cena turn heel? This is so hard to judge. Over the last few weeks, he's cut some very nice heelish promos for this match. Does it mean anything? I will say this. A heel turn is probably something that should happen. Now, I'm saying this not taking into account the merchandise sales and the super-hero Cena that's consumed the WWE for many many years now. I think he needs to turn heel because it can turn the company around. McMahon used to always want to "shake the WWE to its very foundation", and this would be the biggest thing to happen since Hogan turned back in 96. In fact, if done right and done in a completely shocking manner, it could even be bigger. He can cheat to win. Help Rock up afterwards and try to justify that he did what he had to do. Then BAM! He levels The Rock where he stands and beats him down. He holds the belt and stares out into the loudly booing crowd with an angry and evil look.

So how would you guys turn Cena heel? Would you recycle what Stone Cold did when he sided with McMahon? I wouldn't really like to see that again. That's the reason Stone Cold's heel turn, while big, wasn't bigger than Hogan's. Would you have Cena lose and then snap? I wouldn't want to see that because it's been done so many times and is the typical mid-carder heel turn. If Cena does turn heel, which I am officially predicting he will, I want to see it be the biggest thing ever. I want Sports Center to talk about it. I want the papers to talk about it. I want Twitter to blow up about it. I want this site and others to almost crash because of the overload of reactions that come from it. They need to go way outside of basic with it. And let's face it. If it happens, it will be shocking to us all. But if it becomes the biggest deal in wrestling history, none of us will ever forget it.

That's what I got folks. My cup of joe is empty. I'm hoping WM delivers for us. We all get so excited for this time of year and it tends to be one of the biggest media events of the year. Like the Academy Awards and The Superbowl. Sometimes it's not the greatest PPV by some standards, but as an event, it is always a big deal. I hope it doesn't disappoint. I hope it's not as predictable as many think it will be. I was let down last year, which led to my stopping watching WWE for an extended period of time. I don't want to do that again. So while on paper it doesn't look to be as good as the last few Wrestlemanias, and the build for it seems to have lacked in many areas, there is definitely potential to put on a great event and I'm hoping WWE delivers.

I hope you enjoyed this edition of Coffee Talk. If you haven't already, please go to www.facebook.com/voltageentertainment and "Like" us. I'm starting a wrestling sportscenter type web series and I'd like you all to be fans and be involved in it. Like the page and get updates as I get this show put together. Post on my news feed shoot some ideas out there of what you'd like to see. I'm going to try and get a few quotes from Daniel Bryan's and Ricky Steamboat's Q&A's from Philly's Comic Con this year. I'll try for Cena as well but that might be a bit harder to come by. But I'm gonna put a lot of effort into this and do my best to make this a really good on-going web series for us all to enjoy. So please show your support and Like Voltage Entertainment on Facebook. I'm also on twitter but don't really do much with it yet. That will come.

Hey wrestling fans. DK Wrestling Savior here with an unusual blog. I tried to keep Sudden Impact going but with work, school, and other things going on, I can't keep it going weekly until the end of May. So I will shoot out tbings on the fly like I do with Coffee Talk.

Before I get started, I want to announce that I'm going to be putting a wrestling Sports Center type web series together. I've already got the layout together and I'm working on the production end of it every chance I get. What it's going to be is a 6-8 minute show every weekend. It won't be just me sitting on a chair in my bedroom talking about what i think about wrestling. It's going to have cool features, results scrolling along the bottom, etc. I'll be posting updates often on my Facebook Page. So if you haven't already, go to www.facebook.com/voltageentertainment and Like the page. Become a fan. And help me build a decent audience for this new video venture I'm going to do.

Okay, now that the plug is over, let me get to this blog. As you can see in the title, this is how I would book AJ Styles in his new, "Crow Sting" like neutral gimmick he's got going on. I'm going to be general about it and not do it in a specific timeline. This will basically be how I would develop his character.

If you watched Impact this week, he showed up in the crowd while James Storm called him out. Aces & Eights sacked the ring and AJ walked away. Now what I would have done was build more toward the whole "what's going on in AJ's mind" angle and had him sit there and watch the beating with zero emotion on his face. That match turned into an excellent 6 man tag match with Eric Young and Angle after they came out to make the save. I would have had AJ watch the match and after it was over, just turned and walked away. Obviously, he and Storm will be meeting somewhere down the line.

So I would use this time to build AJ as someone very dangerous, and start incorporating everything into this. He should interrupt Gut Check next week and destroy the two competitors. And here is where we introduce the new, vicious AJ Styles. And not only that, they introduce a new finisher for him. I feel that The Styles Clash is too much of a slow developing move for this new Styles. I think he should do something like a Cross Rhodes. The set up resembles that of Sting's Scorpion Death Drop. And he should slowly walk out through the crowd.

After that, he should have a mini feud with someone. This would resemble Sting and Rick Steiner from Nitro. He would come out and attack someone like Christian York, basically just coming behind him and nailing him with his new found finisher. The next week, make it like an Open Fight Night. Have York call him out. AJ comes out. He destroys York and after hitting the new finisher, just walk out.

This sort of thing should go on for a month. No one knows where AJ is and where he'll strike next. Then, he comes out while an Aces & Eights member is fighting someone. Let's say, Anderson vs Storm. AJ comes out while both wrestlers are down and the ref is down. He comes down, nails Storm with his finisher. Everyone can assume he's with Aces & Eights since he's got the leather jacket and all. He stares Anderson down but then just walks away.

The big thing I would have happen is he would do an attack on Sting, basically giving Sting a taste of what he did back in 96-97. This could lead to something big between them, whether it's a match, or a uniting and we get Crow Sting back. The silent Sting that just watched from above. Hogan can come out and start throwing ultimatums out there to him. AJ can remain defiant but ultimately, he's looking to get back into the BFG series, leading to the eventual match with him and Storm in the finals. AJ wns and gets his title match right on schedule from when he lost last year to Storm.

I know a lot of this is recycling what Sting did back during the Monday Night Wars, but they shouldn't rush this new gimmick for him because it can really work. The direction TNA is going, the goody goody Styles wouldn't fit. Everyone's got an edge to them now and this is his chance. He can stay silent for an extended period of time since his promo skills are weak. There's real potential with this gimmick they got going with him.

I hope you all liked this blog. It was very unconventional for my style of blog...no pun intended...

So what are your ideas with this new AJ Styles gimmick? How would approach this storyline with him?

Thans for reading everyone. Be Safe.

Hey Wrestling Fans. Savior here with another edition of Coffee Talk. However, instead of multiple topics to touch on, I'm going back to the roots of Coffee Talk's inception and sticking to one topic here. That topic is, of course, the CM Punk vs Undertaker match at Wrestlemania. Many people were loving the fact that this match was going to happen, and at first, I was too. Then I witnessed the last two weeks of Raw with the match build up and my opinion of it has changed dramatically.

So grab your cup of joe, espresso, latte, whatever your poison is and let's enjoy some Coffee Talk.

I wanted last year to be Undertaker's last Wrestlemania. And that's huge considering Undertaker has always been my all time favorite. 20-0 is a great way to just stop doing Wrestlemania matches. I don't see a need to go for 21-0, 22-0, etc. Are they really expecting a potentially 25-0 record? To me, anything that's not a 20-0 or 25-0 record is pretty underwhelming. Once you reach that 20-0 mark, that number needs to be even of sorts. 25-0, 30-0, etc. So, to me, this Undertaker match doesn't make a whole lot of sense to begin with.

But rather than throw numbers out there and all the "what looks better" stuff, I'm going to get into the meat of this whole thing. For the last four years, Undertaker was involved in "highlight of the night" type matches with HBK and HHH. The thing about those 4 matches is, even though we all knew Undertaker was going to win, there were moments where it really seemed like he actually might lose. This was especially true at WM 26. While HBK's career was on the line, and it was a surefire thing that he would lose and retire, there was a point where it looked like he had it won. He hit Sweet Chin Music, followed it up with a moonsault off the ropes to the outside through a table, threw Taker back into the ring and Superkicked him again. My job dropped because I thought Undertaker was actually going to lose after that. I couldn't believe he kicked out. Then two brutal matches the next two years with HHH. The types of matches that are memorable and always considered when thinking about the best match of the night.

Now we have CM Punk. I know everyone puts CM Punk on as high a pedestal as it gets. I like CM Punk but I do not put him quite so high. The fact is, and despite this comment is probably going to send the hounds on me as far as those who love CM Punk, he is no HHH and no HBK. He's had a very nice run as champ and did a fantastic job at being one of if not THE top heel in the business, he's just not in their league. He's the brightest star, in a sky full of dim stars. I'm not calling him overrated like others have done. I'm simply stating that the previous four Undertaker WM matches were absolute showcase matches, this is more of, just a match.

The build up isn't really there. Of course, those Punk lovers who love everything he does will say, "Oh, this feud is awesome". But look at it realistically for a second. Look at it with an opened mind. Undertaker has so far, not said a single word. He's shown up and posed. And WWE did some cool camera work to show the WM sign above the ring to close out the show. Punk brought up the death of Paul Bearer, (tasteless on WWE's part in my opinion, regardless of who's approval they got.) He stole the urn and that's the premise in which we're building this match on. To me, that's very underwhelming.

With the level Punk is on, and the underwhelming build to the match, and in the wake of Paul Bearer's death, I don't see how Punk poses even the slightest threat in this match. It leaves ZERO drama. And this isn't the same type of knowing that Undertaker will win, as it's been the past 4 years. This is a match that Punk will probably need to carry and while I like him as a performer, I don't think he can carry this match in a manner that will leave us in awe. And honestly, that's what Undertaker WM matches need to be. They need to leave a lasting impression. Punk lost this past Raw to Kane after a simple chokeslam. So how realistic is it going to be if Punk kicks out of an Undertaker tombstone? In fact, if that does happen, even once, it will ruin the match completely for me. If he kicks out of a chokeslam, fine. If he kicks out of a Last Ride. Cool. If he escapes Hell's Gate by getting to the ropes. Good for him. But if he kicks out of a Tombstone, in my opinion, that would be too much of a stretch to be considered believable. It's already a stretch to see him kick out of a Last Ride but since that's not Taker's absolute finisher anymore, I'd be okay with that. Over the last few months, I've seen anyone and everyone kick out of the GTS. And of course, Undertaker is not tapping to the Anaconda Vice. So what else does Punk have that could even threaten the streak in anyway?

My final issue, and this goes beyond all the rest of these statements I made, is this. This past week on Raw, I watched Punk attack Kane with the urn. And I watched an Undertaker struggle to even walk down to the ring. This is my biggest concern with this match taking place. Undertaker is broken down. And while he does leave it all out there for the fans to enjoy, wanting to put on the best performance, and being able to put on the best performance. are two totally different things. If he's limping to the ring, then we won't be seeing him hurdle the top rope on a suicide dive. We probably won't see him flying off the top rope with a clothesline like Kane does. And we probably will see Punk counter his way out of Old School so Taker doesn't have to balance the ropes and doing the leaping forearm smash. Underaker's move set that starts with Snake Eyes is probably going to come off very slow as well. Punk's move set, in turn, will probably be slower, and he'll use time to do taunts and things like that to draw heat so Undertaker won't have to do too much in the match.

To answer the question in the title of this blog...I think that this match WILL NOT deliver the way we all hope.

Please understand that this blog is not me hating on CM Punk. This is more about my dislike for the fact that this match is even happening. We have three weeks left before Wrestlemania and I'm truly hoping that in these three weeks, WWE will change my mind about this match. But as it stands now, and I can't believe I'm saying this, I'm looking at this match to actually be one of the lowlights of the night. Again, I'm truly hoping I'm proven wrong. But for what I've seen so far, just the nature in which Punk got the match was bland and lame. We knew Orton, Sheamus and Big Show weren't winning that Fatal Four Way. They could've have built it so much differently. And honestly, I think I might rather have seen Orton or Sheamus take on Undertaker this year, if Undertaker absolutely HAD to have a match.

A little bonus note here, Wrestlemania this year is set up to be very underwhelming as it is. So Underwhelming that Jack Swagger vs Alberto Del Rio is potentially going to be the best performed match of the night. If I were to book Wrestlemania this year, my card would go like this. Cena vs Rock II, CM Punk vs Brock Lesnar, Chris Jericho vs Dolph Ziggler, ADR vs Swagger, Sheamus vs Orton, Ryback vs Mark Henry, Big Show and two others vs Shield, Cesaro vs Someone, Team Hell No vs Some Tag Team. To me, that's good utilization of the bigger names on the roster which is what it should be. I can do without Undertaker at WM now and I can do without HHH at WM as well.

Ahhhhh, my cup is no empty, so I will be ending this week's Coffee Talk. I will say this. I know this edition won't be real popular. There are a lot of CM Punk fans that read my blogs and won't take kindly to my negative outlook on one of his matches. For that, I apologize. Please take this for what it is, my opinion. And not all hope is lost. We do still have three weeks left. I'll be watching and hoping for something to happen that will change my mind.

I hope you all enjoyed this edition of Coffee Talk. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Be Safe Everyone!!!

Hey wrestling fans. DK Wrestling Savior here with a special edition of Sudden Impact. We're three days away from Lockdown, where TNA is expecting...

Hey wrestling fans. DK Wrestling Savior here with a special edition of Sudden Impact. We're three days away from Lockdown, where TNA is expecting their biggest US crowd in company history. This is a huge step for the company and Lockdown needs to really kill it. So, I'm going to breakdown this week's edition of Impact briefly, then I'm going to do how I would book Lockdown, just for kicks and see if everyone would like how I would make it. It'll be fun.

Austin Aries vs Jeff Hardy

What a way to kick off Impact. These two do great ring work together. It had decent action. The ending with Matt Morgan looked like things were going to get very ugly and Bully Ray comes out and makes the save. It sucked the match had to end that way but I see the point. Hardy can't lose going into the title match and it would be a shame to have Aries lose with the roll he and Roode have been on. Where is Bobby Roode anyway?

D-Lo Is VP

I like how Wes Briscoe wrestles, but boy does he need some major mic work classes. "My father and my uncle was the one of the best..." Hm. A father and an uncle equals two by most math used on this planet. Anyway, D-Lo is revealed as the VP. Underwhelming but I guess it was expected. They obviously have to go one or even two steps higher and have a major impact reveal as the real leader. D-Lo has decent mic skills but, whatever. The revelation didn't WOW me at all. I am looking forward to an awesome, potential show-stealing match between Briscoe and Angle.

Sting vs Devon

I was shocked that Sting took the loss on this one. No much of a match. A fan interfered and Devon wins the first of three matches to see who gets the man advantage at Lethal Lockdown.

Bad Influence & Gail Kim vs Hernandez/Chavo & Velvet

Decent match. I really liked how well Kazarian did. And Hernandez is a beast. I like him in the tag team right now but I'm hoping he can branch out on his own and do some big things. Gail Kim gets the win over Velvet with Eat Defeat teasing the possibility that she'll win the title. Especially since she's undefeated at Lockdown. Surely Velvet will retain. Good match though. It had one of those Attitude Era type builds toward two matches leading into a PPV.

Joe & Magnus vs Bischoff & DOC

Am I alone in wanting success for DOC? He's got a great look and I don't care that he was Festus or Luke Gallows with Punk or anything like that. I wish they would stop jobbing him out the way they are. This match should have been Garrett and Knox. Knox sucks and serves zero purpose. Sorry, just a little rant from me. Anyway, Magnus & Joe took care of business and did some of their tag team moves when they were champs. It was good to see. They get the win and even the score 1-1. I am really looking forward to TNA's biggest crowd ever chanting "Joe's Gonna Kill You".

Gut Check

I must have been outside smoking a cigarette or something because how in the hell did that big chick get to go and face the judges...WHEN SHE LOST LAST WEEK??? And she got the yes vote? Whatever.

James Storm vs Anderson

They should drop the Mister. Anderson comes off so much better now that he's in A&E. Okay match, but served it's purpose. Both teams came out, and Anderson capitalized during the distraction. Aces & Eights get the one man advantage at Lethal Lockdown.

Bully and Hardy Face Off

Typical face vs face encounter. I respect you. You're proud of me. It's all good though. I'm very happy to see Bully in this position. It's been a long road for him. He needs a legit shot to be on top and see if he can be one of those superstars that TNA can create. Of course he was known from his days in ECW and WWF, but never as a chance to be, THE GUY.

Overall, I liked the episode. Not the greatest matches but everything built nicely going into Lockdown. And now it's time for "How I Would Book Lockdown."

With so many How I Would Book WM blogs, I'm gonna give TNA a little love because I'm looking forward to this Sunday more than I am to WM. That could change depending on how WM's matches get built from here on out, but Lockdown is here now. So I'll throw in a little prediction, and then give my spin on how I would and why I would book it a certain way.

LOCKDOWN

Knockouts Title Match

Obviously, they're building on this whole Gail Got Screwed by Taryn dynamic. I'm not sure if this is leading to a Gail vs Taryn match or not. But I feel this one's pretty cut and dry. Velvet can, should, and will win.

Robbie E vs Bigger Rob

Bigger Rob should completely own this match. I would have him destroy Robbie E and then really start to build him up moving forward. He can be TNA's Brodus Clay.

Tag Team Title Match

Ok. This one is also pretty cut and dry. I would ride this Roode/Aries thing out all the way. They keep talking about capturing all the gold. Well, we know that won't really happen, but right now, this tag team is working and I wouldn't tinker too much with it. Have them be ever the opportunists, and have Chavo hit the frog splash on Kaz or Daniels, then have either Roode or Aries toss Chavo out and steal the victory, overcome the odds, and keep the titles.

Lethal Lockdown Match

Okay. I'm not real familiar with Lethal Lockdown. I know it's run sort of like Wargames where one guy from each team starts and then there's the man advantage every couple of minutes. Is this an elimination match? If not, I think they need a bigger ring because ten guys will just be tripping over each other. I think Aces & Eights needs to keep their push going. They need to be established as a real threat, which they haven't been all that much so far. So Aces & Eights would get the win. I would actually have James Storm turn heel and join. Have him laying in the back like he got attacked, then come out, showing a lot of heart and guts and determination, then BAM! Last Call to Sting and Devon gets the pin. Either way, Aces & Eights needs to get the win. If they lose, what little credibility they actually do have right now, is down the drain.

World Title Match

Plain and Simple. Bully should win the title. I would book it like this. A grueling match. Both guys hit all their signature moves and finishers and they both kick out. Hardy goes for a huge dive off the cage and Bully moves. Bully hits the Bubba Bomb and gets the pin, however, his feet were under the ropes or something and ref didn't see it. Why I would book it like this is because it leaves so many unanswered questions. Did Hogan pull strings for his Son In Law? Will Bully accept that victory with all the respect he has for Hardy and in being a top face? Was the ref acting out a little bit, like maybe it wasn't a mistake? Is there someone else invovled? Maybe a new addition to TNA who's targeting Hardy? I think Bully wins and I think he has to win. But it's gotta be questionable. And not just for the sake of Hardy pulling a Cena and never going down clean. But for the sake of storybuilding. I think Bully & Hardy need to feud and for a while. Not that either one has to necessarily turn heel, but with the wars they've been through over the years, I'd like to see that again.

Where there you have it everyone. This week's Sudden Impact and How I would Book Lockdown. I hope you enjoyed this blog. Let's hear your ideas on what should happen at Lockdown.

Enjoy the PPV this week and Be Safe Everyone!!!

Hey everyone. DK Wrestling Savior here with another edition of Coffee Talk. We have a mere six weeks to go before Wrestlemania is upon us. I know a lot of people aren't overly excited about it. But my question would be, why? There are so many things to ponder about Wrestlemania and what's going to happen with certain people over the course of the next six weeks. But I'll tell you what. We have Jack Swagger and Zeb Colter. We had a Cena/Punk match this past Raw. And we have HHH vs Brock Lesnar kicking into high gear. So we'll talk about these and other things. Grab your cup of joe, your espresso, latte, steamer, whatever your heart desires, and let's enjoy some Coffee Talk.

How about that match with Cena and CM Punk? I know not many people here in the world of the internet like John Cena, but come on. Gotta give it up for that match with Punk. It wasn't a situation where Punk carried the whole match. Cena held his own. That match had everything we could've expected. Close calls, high spots by both men, and even some major surprises like a John Cena hurricanrana and CM Punk delivering an old school Piledriver. Both men laid it out on the line and I know everyone hates that Cena won, but I clap for both of them for what could be the best match I've seen on Raw in a long while. But there's something else. Something that really made that match. And it was Michael Cole's commentary. That may have been the best called match he's ever done. It's been forever since I was on the edge of my seat during a match on WWE. Cena and Punk did NOT disappoint, and Michael Cole did a fantastic job.

Did anyone else love seeing the bloody mess that Brock Lesnar was at the beginning of Raw? It was a nasty cut and what an explosive opening to Raw. Now we all knew that when McMahon called out Heyman, it was going to lead to a Brock sighting and a HHH save, but when HHH's music hit, it was a definite goosebump moment. Not if we have to deal with six weeks of explosive brawls between the two, it will get old. So, I'm going to throw a question out there for everyone. What are some developments in this second feud between the two, that you would like to see. They already brought in Stephanie and HBK the last time. So what else can they really do to give us that "collision course" feel to the upcoming WM match? Maybe they can do a segment with Brock and Ric Flair? Or Heyman and Shane McMahon? Keeping the whole McMahon/Heyman dynamic is important here. So what can they do?

I must say, I absolutely love this new Jack Swagger. Zeb Colter is basically a JBL-like mouthpiece during his heel turn and switch from Bradshaw to JBL. But I like Zeb. He has a nasty look on him and with a vicious Swagger just standing behind him, arms crossed and all, they make quite a dangerous duo. I think Swagger wins at Wrestlemania, but the feud obviously continues. It would actually be quite a disservice to have Swagger lose. They've pushed him to be on a serious mission. I'm not sure ADR winning would be the best thing, unless they're trying to make a hero out of him. He can still be a face, and keep momentum, even if he loses. A good feud is brewing here. But this is sort of a bridge into my next question.

What's going on with Dolph Ziggler? At first, it seemed like he was on an absolute roll. *No that I liked it, but I cannot deny it*. Then the whole MITB thing just got pretty old. He's held the briefcase for far too long in my opinion. There have been many situations where it seemed ideal for him to cash in and start his world title reign. And at first, when Jack Swagger won the Elimination Chamber, I had this whole three title changes in one night idea at Wrestlemania. Swagger beats Del Rio. Ziggler cashes in. Then Ziggler's match with Jericho is a WHC match where Jericho wins thanks to Swagger screwing Ziggler. With Ziggler and Swagger's past, it's a scenario that would've made sense. But with Swagger's direction, it really doesn't make any sense at all. Now we all assume it's going to be Jericho vs Ziggler at WM. And it will be a good match. But again, what's going on with Ziggler? He got bounced around like a ping pong ball by Ryback. So what was the thinking behind that match? It probably should've ended in a DQ with Langston interference and be done with it. Instead, he lost, yet again. Part of me thinks his cash in is going to fail. Cena may have started a trend with the losing the cash in opportunity. It's a shame, but there's not really anything for Ziggler to do right now, except fight Jericho in a rather meaningless match.

My final point is this. Six weeks to go, Raw is in Dallas TX, and no Undertaker. Clearly, Undertaker will not be a Wrestlemania this year and I think that's the best move. But it sort of leaves Punk in the dark. So what can CM Punk do for Wrestlemania? Who can he fight that makes any sense at all? It's Rock vs Cena and they're not going to touch that. I don't think there's enough time to start something with anyone else, at least not that makes sense. But it's CM Punk. They can't leave him off. Will it be a meaningless match for him at WM? Miz is really the only person currently available, unless that feud with Cesaro will continue. Sheamus and Orton are busy with The Shield. Who else is on a CM Punk WM match level? So I'm thinking, Mick Foley. Punk comes out on a night upcoming where Backlund and Bruno are there, He talks smack about how he's a better champ then them. Foley comes to their defense. Voila. WM Match in virtually Mick Foley's home town. Won't be a fantastic match but would keep the crowd excited, and Punk would obviously win. Then he can pursue the title post-WM.

So as you can see, we have sort of a sketch of what WM is going to be, but there are many opportunities to paint the picture a little more clearly. I'm interested in seeing how they approach the Punk and Ziggler situations. I also want to see what direction they go with Brock vs HHH. I'm thinking it may be a Hell in a Cell match. Rock and Cena will be a decent build up too. As the weeks dwindle down and WM approaches, we should get a better idea of what's going to happen fairly soon.

I hope you enjoyed this edition of Coffee Talk. Leave a comment and let's hear some of your ideas.

Thanks for reading. Be Safe.

Hey everyone. DK Wrestling Savior here with a repost of Coffee Talk. There was a huge influx of blogs and Coffee Talk spent less than a day on the front page of the blog board. It didn't even have a chance to get read, so I figured I'd give it another go. Thank you to everyone who did read and had a chance to respond. I appreciate all the interaction. In case this happens again, I'd like to invite everyone who enjoys my blogs to subscribe so that way, if this happens in the future, you'll still get a notification to when I post. If you want, of course.

So once again, grab your cup of joe, espresso, latte, steamer, whatever your poison is, and let's enjoy some Coffee Talk.

Elimination Chamber. Is it me, or does it seem to lack real star power? I know they've pushed Swagger in this little comeback along with Mark Henry. But how does everyone see this playing out? Is Orton the clear cut winner here? I don't know. He's clean jobbed a few times recently and it's not like he's really in the midst of a push of any kind. Honestly, and I think this has become almost a predictable scenario. Jericho wins the EC. Ziggler cashes in on Del Rio. Excellent set up for a what should be a very good WM match, and for the title. That's a major possibility. Who else is really going to carry a World Title Match at WM in that group? Probably not Mark Henry. Doubtfully Bryan or Kane. I'm not completely sure about Orton. So it's basically Jericho or Swagger. Who brings more relevancy to the situation? Jericho. What other possible match is there for Jericho? Ziggler is the only one that comes to mind. I personally think that one is set in stone.

Speaking of Ziggler. I have a question for everyone that is sure to spark a little debate. If Ziggler cashes in and doesn't win the title, is it a complete waste of his current push? Those who know me pretty much know my opinion on this one.

Now for some storytime...only this time, better than the Rock's. I remember watching in awe, week after week, while Kane walked through superstar after superstar following his debut in 97. Then, one time, he messed with the wrong man. He choke slammed Dude Love. And that spawned the return of Mankind, who was absent for several months prior. They had a short little 2 week feud build up leading to a match where everyone knew Kane would win. And while the match wasn't exactly great seeing that Kane dominated most of it, Mankind showed signs of potentially winning. He nailed his signature move set and if not for a distraction from Paul Bearer, he seemed to have the match won. I remember cheering so much for Mankind to pull it off, even though I knew he wouldn't. But it was exciting to see. So what does this have to do with anything? I'll tell you. We all knew Kane was fighting Undertaker at Wrestlemania. That was a given. But instead of just having Kane destroy people over and over, they threw him into short little feuds with Mankind, and another with Vader. (Both former Paul Bearer guys, btw). So, am I alone in thinking that they should have done the same thing with Brock Lesnar and The Miz? They followed up Brock's attack on Miz with, a Miz match against Cody and a continuation of a very stale and practically meaningless feud with Cesaro.

Wouldn't it have been better to follow up Brock's attack by having Miz call him out. Brock show up. Miz get a fluke little flurry and get the better of him, setting up a match for this Sunday. One where Brock would dominate most of it, Miz would get his move set in and show signs of a potential win, and then BAM! Heyman distracts, Brock with the F5, and good night Miz. The true benefit of this would have been getting people behind the Miz for his valiant effort. His face turn has been ok, but he's not getting the crowd following that he has the potential of getting. Plus, we know that there's probably a 95% chance of a Brock/HHH rematch at Mania. So why not do this as a throw in to bridge that gap. Instead, Brock will be absent until it's relevant for him to reappear leading up to WM. Would you have liked to see something like that with Brock and Miz? I know I would have.

My final topic for this week is the utilization of Sheamus, Cena, and Ryback to face The Shield on Sunday. Could anything really good come of this? Cena has a title shot at Mania. Ryback and Sheamus have pretty much nothing to do. And The Shield has been dominant. So who stands to lose the most in this match? I say The Shield does. If they lose, what does that mean for them moving forward? If they win, it cuts the legs right out from under three of the top stars in WWE today. I'm not sure I like the idea of this match. I think it's a Lose-Lose situation. It probably will be just an all out brawl so we won't see anything special as far as great moves and wrestling ability. It'll be reminiscent of the TLC match where it just beating each other with whatever they can find and going through tables and stuff. If there was a way they would actually showcase these guys from The Shield without just 3 on 1 brawling attacks, then I say go for it. But if it's just going to be a fight that's all over the place, it doesn't really serve much purpose, does it? Let's see a finisher from Ambrose or Rollins that isn't the triple spike powerbomb. Let's see a match where these guys are going one on one and actually wrestling a bit instead of just isolating and ganging up their opponents. Not that they're stale or anything, but give us some more now. What would you guys like to see?

Ahhhhh, my cup of joe is now empty. I hope you all enjoyed the topics this week. Let's hear your thoughts on this and other things you wanna discuss.

I've gotten a great response to the format of this blog and the concept as a whole so I want to keep it going. I usually take major situations and use them for this but this edition, we will discuss a few things as we are on the heels of Elimination Chamber, and the final PPV stop, before a six week final stretch into Wrestlemania.
So grab your cup of joe, espresso, latte, steamer, whatever your poison is, and let's enjoy some Coffee Talk.
