As I have mentioned before I haven't been a 100% wrestling addict all the time, I've left during the bad times and returned during the good.

I wanted to share my defining wrestling history and the moments that sent me away and moments that brought me back.

Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels
I remember first getting Sky TV when I was a kid and the first channel my dad turned the TV onto had WWF wrestling on it and I was hooked, the lights, the showmanship, the good guys, the bad guys and the all out action. There was a lot during this time that appealed to me as a child. The strict divide between good and bad, the simplicity of the story lines. The commentary from Monsoon and McMahon. It was excellent. I was enamored with the Bret Hart/Shawn Michaels rivalry and the rivalry between Bret and Owen. As a child it was all real to me and when Vince screwed Bret in Montreal that was me done and I left wrestling behind.

The Rock and Stone Cold
The next time I saw wrestling was by accident. I was working as a chef and used to get home very late on a Friday night (when Raw used to be shown in UK) I flicked through the channels when I got home and came across Raw. I saw an eyebrow raising hooligan in the ring giving a promo and wearing a very colorful shirt, whilst talking this man was interrupted by a countdown on the screen, once the countdown reached zero another man entered and these two went back and fourth for a few minuets and before I realized It I was captivated by these two men..The Rock and Jericho!! I then started watching every Friday night and all the PPV available on Sky, I watched everything through the whole Rock/Austin era. The Hardyz struggle to become champions, TLC, NWO etc I was hooked. Sadly after a few years The Rock left to peruse acting. Stone Cold took a reduced role due to injury. Huge steroid looking guys started to come in (Brock and Batista) and I just lost interest. it was almost spiteful as I was watching the rise of a singles Jeff Hardy winning the title off HHH and thought they had huge things in store for him (which they later did) and then to have a huge monster like Lesnar come in, destroy the Hardyz and moved up the ladder far too fast IMO (I believe this single man lead to the new craze of throwing people into the title picture before they had earned their stripes in the Mid Card) and again due to all this I left wrestling again.

The Summer of Punk
Once I moved in with my then girlfriend and got a new job there was very little time to watch anything to do with wrestling etc and it wasn't until a good friend started at the same place as me that we got to know each other that he sent me a message stating that I needed to watch the end a raw for a promo by some guy he though was cool..CM Punk. I watched this promo on you tube and instantly had my mind blown...I was like WTF have I been missing, this guy was phenomenal on the mic and suddenly my passion had been re-lit and I was hooked once again. Unfortunately the summer of Punk was diluted by the addition of Nash and HHH and turning Punk into some Tweener not funny comedy sketch. Thankfully before I decided to leave again they have now turned him heel and this is working for him and there is potential in the new up and comer Ryback. I shall be watching for some time to come but I'm certainly looking forward to what the next defining moment in WWe history will be for me.

What moments have changed the way you view the wrestling world?

Hi All,

I have been away from this site for a while for 2 reasons;

1.Personal reasons, let's just say me and my 'tag team partner' parted ways after many years.
2.There was a point on here where everyone just became venomous (I was told to sick black cock just because of my blogs title!) and weren't really helpful when it came to improving blogs, they would just be offensive and crass if anyone outside 'the clique' decided to write a blog. Hopefully things have now become less hostile.

So after a few months away I finally got the urge to blog again and just to keep the 'black cock' folk happy I have re-branded the blog as 'The Tap Out' hopefully this blog title will not get anyone as hot under the collar as the last one did..anyway to the point..my blog

ENDING THE STREAK
The annual rumour of the Undertaker preparing to return are starting to circulate with rumours of a Lesnar match or CM Punk. There is a lot of speculation as to whether the streak should or shouldn't end and if it should, who would be the man to do this?

Vince McMahon has stated on many occasions that nobody is bigger then the business and I fell that if there is one man that is an exception to this it's the dead man himself. While Mark Calaway fully deserves to leave the company on top with his head held high and the streak intact I find it only more fitting for the business and the character of The Undertaker if his final ever match end's with the streak broken.

I think it would be the ultimate send off for the dead man to go out like this, granted I think it would be extremely difficult for fans to accept that anyone could end taker streak and the person who ends the streak will be hounded and hated by the fans..but depending on the person this might just help the reach new height's.

With that being said here are so of the potentials for ending/not ending the streak;

1.John Cena
This match is talked about alot. Many people believe that the only person that could take the dead mans crown is Cena himself I have my reservations. I don't think Cena needs this to further his career, he has come as far as he can and I truly believe he should be winding down his career. Cena is already a marmite character with most people falling into the 'hate it' category and If the E' were to let Cena win..I believe they would loose a hell of a lot of respect and fans.

2.Ryback
The up and comer Ryback is another possibility to end the streak. He has the physical power to dominate, he's getting the fans behind him at the moment and could well have the get up and go to put the deadman back in his grave for good. The only issue I would have is that currently Ryback is very green, he could do with moving to the main event as he is doing now, staying there until mania 30 and then maybe it would be time to let the dead man 'rest in peace'.

3.CM Punk
This is the guy that everyone is looking to this year...CM Punk Vs. The Undertaker, while I agree that the prospect of Punk, the Indy wrestler who has defied all odds and sits on top of the E's mountain is a mouth watering prospect for taking down the dead man I also feel that he just doesn't look like he could do it. He is not physically big and the E' have built him around being either lucky and cowardly to win. A few month's of booking him as a straight winning heel that can out shoulders to mats cleanly and I think he'd be ready. It could knock Punk into the stratosphere as an all time greatest heel if he were to take down Taker. Punk would be my choice for ending the streak.

4.Brock Lesnar
Correct me if I'm wrong but this is a match that has never happened. Taker and Lesnar have never had that fight and people must be dying to see it. While I personally wouldn't want Lesnar to win I think that it wouldn't be believable if he didn't. Taker is past his prime and Lesnar is still a beast of a man. If Lesnar were a company man who planned to stay around and help the younger generations then I would be fine with this but If he just showed up, de throned the dead man and left...so would I.

5.Kurt Angle
I hear rumours years ago that Taker himself wanted Angle to be the one to take his streak and bury it. While I loved Kurt and hope that one day he will return to the E' for one final run I think he is also past his prime and the point where a win over Taker would do him any good.

Overall I think it needs to be a guys who has either just hit or is about to hit the big time that needs to end the streak. My personal favourites would be Ryback or Punk as they would get the most out of it.

Thanks to anyone who reads this blog and any feedback is welcome (hopefully this will be constructive and not related to the coloured mans anatomy!)

Hi all, Dazzaschofield here again with another Blog of all Blogs!

It's been a while since I last blogged as I wanted to take a step back and see if I could enjoy wrestling more without the constant need to critique it! Needless to say it didn't work as the urge to speak is far too great!

While looking back through the history of the E' it struck me that there is a 50/50 tag team divide that seems to propel one half of the tag team into superstardom and the other half into obscurity or worse! Below are some examples of the said Joys/Curses of tag team wrestling;

The British Bulldogs
The two time Stamped Wrestling Tag Team Champions and one time WWF Tag Team Champions there was no doubt that The British Bulldogs were an excellent tag team. Consisting of Davey Boy Smith (The British Bulldog) and Tom Billington (The Dynamite Kid) this team didn't achieve many accolades but were an extremely good tag team and had an excellent run with the Heart Foundation.
The Blessed
The Joys most notable went to Davey Boy Smith who after parting ways with Tom Billington in 1990 who enjoyed quite a bit of success as a single wrestler winning 2 European Championships, 2 Hardcore Championships and most famously his Intercontinental Championship win over Bret 'The Hitman' Hart at Summerslam 1992 in front of over 80,000 UK fans.
The Cursed
Unfortunately Tom Billingtons career did not take off to the extent of Davey Boys after the split of the British Bulldogs and Tom spent most of the remainder of his career flitting between AJPW, MPW and Stampede Wrestling, also due to the life he lived Tom had to have multiple surgeries on his back which eventually led to him having to use a wheelchair and retiring from the business he loves and becoming a recluse.

RIP Davey Boy Smith

The Hart Foundation
Possibly one of the best and most well remembered tag team in the history of the E', they went through many line ups but the original and most popular line up was Bret 'The Hitman' Hart and Jim 'The Anvil' Neidhart. The 2 time Tag Team Champions know as 'The pink and black attack' took the mid card tag team division into the main event spotlight with excellent matches against The British Bulldogs and The Rockers.
The Blessed
Once the Hart Foundation parted ways Bret Hart had one of the most illustrious careers seen in the ring, his accolades between WCW and WWE include 2 x KOTR winner, 1994 RR Winner, Superstar of the year, 5 x slammy award winner, Second Triple Crown Winner, 2 x WWE Tag Champ, 2 x Intercontinental Champ, 5 x WWE Champ and tonnes more. Bret's career is one that all superstars aim to replicate and very little manage it. Bret has solidified himself as one of the best superstar to ever grace a ring.
The Cursed
Jim Neidhart did not face the same growth that Bret did once the Hart Foundation had ended, he was used to promote Bret's younger brother Owen in The New Foundation but once Owen gained popularity Jim took another backseat and eventually left the WWE in 1992, he enjoyed a couple of minor runs with the WWE, WCW and TNA but never had anything beyond moderate success. Jim now work in real estate and wrestles in independent shows across the world.

The Rockers
One of the most memorable tag teams of the late 80's/early 90's The Rockers were something not yet seen in the world of the WWE, Shawn Michaels and Marty Jannetty were young over the top energetic young guys with a young guys attitude to boots, this led to them have a very rocky start in the WWE. Although never officially winning the Tag titles The Rockers were one of the greats in the tag division.
The Blessed
In 1991 the decision was made to spilt The Rockers up after some legit heat between the two backstage. Michaels revelled in the idea of being a single competitor but Jannetty was not happy. Michaels took full advantage of the situation and after being re-branded as 'The Heartbreak Kid' a cocky young self obsessed gimmick that propelled him into superstardom, in his time with WWE he won 3 WWE titles, 1 Heavyweight Title, 2 time rumble winner, PWI match of the year for 11 years, Triple Crown Champion, Hall of famer, 5 time tag champ amongst others.
The Cursed
In a similar fashion to Jim Niedhart after the spilt of this tag team Jannetty career never took off in the way the Michaels did, Jannetty had multiple runs in the WWE and won the Tag titles with the 1-2-3 Kid and the Intercontinental Title but never really achieved mainstream success. He currently wrestles in Indy promotions as of 2012.

It seems as though tag team wrestling is useful to propel wrestlers to superstardom but at what cost? there always seems to be one loser that comes out of a tag team? This is something that WWE currently lacks, a good tag team division is a great ground for a superstar to develop their skills while having a partner tends to hide any flaws in individuals performance.

Return for Part 2 when we will look at The Hardyz, Dudlyz and Edge & Christian.

Hi All It's dazzaschofield back with the re-branded 'Blog of all Blogs' bringing you the musings, ideas and general thoughts of a wrestling fan.

Today I'm going to look at what could be happening within the Tag Team division and the formation of stables in general.

After Elimination Chamber and this weeks Raw I got wondering if the WWE are trying to bring back the formation of Stables/Tag Teams within it's product.

Firstly we have the events of Elimination Chamber and Raw with regards to Johnny Ace! The WWE have the opportunity after EC to turn the in ring segment with Johnny into a newly formed stable. We have been hearing that WWE plans to have a Team Laurenitus Vs. Team Long at Wrestlemania.

This is a good idea and could be an ideal opportunity to turn Team Laurenitus into 'The New Corporation', you have

Laurenitus - The Leader

Alberto Del Rio - The right hand man/Brains

Mark Henry - The Muscle

Christian - The Weasel/Cheat

I believe it could massively help all 3 stars reach a new level within the company, hell they could even have Bryan join so that the stable holds the championship. This would make any feud for the championship more interesting as the fans would be more involved in wanting their 'face' guy to overcome the odds and win the championship.

Also happening within the WWE it seems they are throwing a few random superstars together to see what they would make as a tag team, this week it was R-Truth and Kofi Kingston. Now after watching their match and seeing how they worked together in the battle royal can see these two being a very successful tag team if WWE decides to run with it for a while. If they then throw a few more wild combo's together such as Mason Ryan/Tyler Rekks dominant muscle tag team then we may just have the starts of a decent tag division.

Anyway this was a simple first edition of 'The Blog of all Blogs' and I hope you enjoyed. let's hope that the WWE run with this and bring back a part of what has been missing for a while.

Hi all and welcome to another blog.

Hi all and welcome to another blog.

I have Knox to thank for this blog as I was reading his great blog http://www.ewrestlingnews.com/commun...k-Switch-Roles about CM Punk and John Cena switching roles. I hope you don't mind me piggybacking on your blog Know but you stated that the blog is coming from the direction of a pro cena/anti punk fan and I though it would be a good idea to get a prospective from the other side so here goes.

The Change That Was Promised
Knox is completely correct on this one, CM Punk came out and cut an excellent promo, in fact he cut the best promo in the last 2 years. He promised change, he promised difference & he promised old school wrestling.

Has he delivered? no! was it his job to deliver? no!

I don't believe Punk dropped the ball on this one, I believe that WWE saw the reaction and hype that Punk was getting and jumped on him like wild dogs and it smothered what could have been. They decided to dilute Punks success by adding HHH to the equation which was not needed.

Cena's Future
He doesn't have one, at least not in the way many people seem to believe so, Cena will never change, he will never go heel and he will never be as popular as The Rock or Austin, why? because of the product he promotes and the fact the his character is now etched in time. He has attained the status of The Rock and Austin in one way, let me elaborate.

The Rock went through multiple personality changes until he found the persona that works. Austin did the same. Eventually both their characters were engrained in our minds so much that if Dwayne or Steve ever came back and tried to pull off a different character it simply wouldn't work. The same way of Cena changing to become different then his 'Hustle, Loyalty, Respect' character just wouldn't work! this is because character become successful when they are extensions of themselves. The Rock, Austin, HHH and others attain megastardom when they go to the ring and be themselves. Cena already does this so any change would be defying who he really is and thus wouldn't work.

Cena's character could have worked in earlier years where restrictions weren't as tight. As his promo this week showed he can have some edge to him, however when your main fanbase is women and children there is only so far you can push that while still keeping within guidelines.

CM Punk
CM Punk has a bright future IMO as he again started to develop and achieve success when he was allowed to be himself which is as Knox said, slightly arrogant and full of himself, but as many people have rightly said...if your not in the WWE thinking your the best and aiming to be the top guy...what are you there for at all.

Yes he doesn't always tow the line and he says things he prob shouldn't but hell thats why guys like Austin were so successful. That's what the fans want to see. Even more so today when we have pg thrown down our throats daily and were subject to drugs policy's and 'no headshot' rules. WWE are selling a show claimed to be aimed at 18-34 demo whilst being family friendly!! trust me the 18-34 demo doesn't want family friendly..they want edgy and thats what Punk gives.

Both men do hold themselves very differently and I believe both hold themselves in their own ways as they are smart to their fans needs.

Cena is professional, loyal, kind, thinks of others, has respect for everyone....this appeals to his demo of women and children as they look up to him as the 'all american boy' who attains success through being an honest hard working gentleman.

CM Punk again is professional, outspoken, edgy, abrasive, in your face and confrontational....this appeals to his fans who seem to be the slightly older more adult and have the less 'dream like' view of the world, they see Punk as the guy who nothing was given to who had to claw, fight and hiss his way up to the top and will savage anyone who tries to take that away from him.

I think in 20 years time both will have had highly successful careers, Cena is more likely to stay on and work till the day he dies backstage as an exec working on storys and PR type jobs.

Punk will also prob stay loyal but I think he's more of an action guy so would become a trainer putting the guys through their paces..or he would be highly successful as a colour commentator.

Thanks for reading, Knox..thanks for the idea, I hope you all enjoyed, I'm sure if you did/didn't your always vocal enough to let the blog poster know.

Hi all it's Dazzaschofield back with another blog.

I hear a lot of argument on her about different era's and how people want the WWE to move on and others don't think it's been as good since the attitude era. This has all been personal opinion so I though I'd throw a blog together with some stats and a Raw 1999 vs Raw 2012 analysis.

Firstly here is the roster breakdown for each year;

1999
Superstars - 57
Diva's - 14
Tag Teams - 18
Others (managers, Announcers & Authority Figures) - 7

2012
Superstars - 51
Diva's - 14
Tag Teams - 3
Others (manager, Announcers & Authority Figures) - 11

Raw Segments 1999
Opening Segment -Austin in ring segment with Mankind and The Corporation
Tag Match - Owen Hart & Jeff Jarret Vs D-Lo Brown & Mark Henry
Interview - Ken Shamrock/Val Venis
Backstage Segment - Earl Hebner & Kevin Kelly
In Ring Segment - DX
In Ring Segment - Austin, Mankind & Corporation leading to brawl
Backstage Segment - McMahon
Match - Godfather Vs Vicera
Backstage Segment - Val Venis/Ken Shamrock fighting
Match - Xpac Vs Kane
Interview - Droz
Match - Steve Blackman Vs The Rock
Match - Gauntlet Match, Austin Vs Ken Shamrock, Test, Kane, Chyna, Bossman & McMahon.

Raw Segments 2012
Recap - Kane
Titantron Message - Kane
In Ring Segment - Punk, Kofi, Miz, Ziggler, Truth, Jericho
Match - Kofi Vs Jericho
Backstage Segment - Michaels/HHH
Backstage Segment - Laurenitus/Otunga
Recap - Orton/Bryan
Match - Orton Vs Big Show
In Ring Segment - HHH/Michaels
Video Package - Taker
Match - Dolph Ziggler Vs R-Truth
Backstage Segment - Santino/Ryder
Match - Tamina Vs Brie Bella
Backstage Segment - Cena/Eve
Video Package - Rock
Backstage Segment - Ryder/Eve
Match - Miz Vs Punk
In Ring Segment - Cena/Ryder/Kane

Looking at the above it seems that how the show is put together has changed compared to 13 years ago, this is almost certainly to fit in with the change in viewing habits.

Its seems in 1999 there were less segments with a wider variety of superstars in them, they would have done this every week developing a characters story slowly as they only had a few mins to do so each week.

Today's fan is a lot more impatient and so more segments need to be given to a smaller number of superstars in order to move the storyline on quicker.

It's obvious from the above that it's not a lack of superstars thats causing the problem as the roster size is almost identical, the main difference is the huge number of tag teams within the roster size that has changed. Maybe we need more stables and tag teams to get us involved.

Maybe it's just us that need to change and not the WWE?

Hi all and welcome to another weak dose of Dazza with today's Blog - Let This Era Die!

This last Monday night on Raw we got an excellent promo from HHH regarding his inevitable match at Wrestlemania with The Undertaker.

This promo seemed to blur the line between promo and shoot for HHH as he brought up the subject of how he could not end The Undertaker as he is seen as a brand and it is bad for business. This is a view that seems to be shared in reality by the WWE management structure as it seems they are simply unwilling to let the top dogs of the attitude era go.

Lets look at the evidence.

The Undertaker

We could probably count on 2 hands the amount of matches The Undertaker has had in the last 2 years. Granted the matches I have seen him compete in have been a testament to 'old school' ring psychology that have had me on the edge of my seat but I have this niggling feeling that the more The Undertaker goes and comes back and then goes and then comes back again it will start to dilute and diminish his presence until he is merely a shadow of himself. Taker deserves an absolutely massive blow out match of epic proportions that suits his character, he needs to be dragged to the depths of hell and never return so when we look back at how he ended we can think "wow that was amazing". I don't want to be watching in 10 years time and seeing Taker return for his 30th Wrestlmania match think "man this guys used to have some great matches".....WWE do us a favour and let the Dead Man sleep!

Shawn Michaels
Shawn Michaels has actually almost done what I like wrestlers to do, retire and stay retired however a comment he made while responding to HHH's request that we see him more often scared me. Michaels replied "well we'll see what we can do about that". Michaels was brilliant, possibly the best wrestler and most charismatic character to ever step foot in the ring and when he originally returned and spend a number of years with us it was fantastic, not just a flash in the pan return but a full time schedule was brilliant. I feel again much like with The Undertaker that if Michaels now returns on a non wrestling/once a year match type basis that we will also get watered down memories of HBK. HBK went out and had the best match of his career at Wrestlmania 25 and it should have ended there, they carried this on to Wrestlmania 26 where he did have an epic match as his final match and this is where it should be left.

Others
Unfortunately I don't have time to go into all of the wrestlers who no longer wrestle on a full time basis but seem to drag the spot light away from the younger stars as there are just far too many; Taker, Michaels, HHH, Kevin Nash, The Rock & Booker T are all superstars that should just let it end, hopefully Jericho stays past wrestlemaina or that's another top card spot given away to a part time employee who will just leave afterwards. Give the screen time to up and coming stars. Let angle like the CM Punk angle develop on there own rather then throwing an attitude are star in there to steal the glory only to destroy the angle.

It seems perfect acceptable to the WWE to have all the main stars work on a part time schedule and it takes away any form of full time build that could be given to the young guys that the fans want to see who work their asses off full time to entertain us.

Management needs to realise that it's not good for business to drag these brands on. Let the last era die!! let the new era begin!! and watch the young starts flourish!

I was reading through a previous thread about unifying the two main WWE titles and was struck by a comment on there that was somewhere along the lines of...

"Unifying the titles is stupid as there wouldn't be enough title opportunities for 40 odd wrestlers"

After I picked my jaw up off the floor at this comment I decided to reply and part way through realised this warranted it's own blog.

I think unifying the two main titles is a brilliant idea and think it could help bring some prestige to the other titles that have been ignored for years.

I think we can all see by now that the two important titles are the WWE title and the Heavyweight Championship. There's others in there that we haven't seen for weeks. So here is my opinions of the titles and who should be in the 'levels' of these titles.

WWE Undisputed Championship/Unified Championship
The sooner they merge the two top titles in the company the better IMO. How can anyone claim to be 'the best in the world' when there is another 'top champ' coming out every week.

There should be one top title in the WWE that shows the holder to be the man, the best, the guys the company trusts it's future to.

In this category I would have the following superstars competing throughout the year;

CM Punk, John Cena, Kane, Randy Orton, Wade Barret, Chris Jericho, The Undertaker, Sheamus, The Miz and HHH.

The Intercontinental Championship
This title once held a lot of prestige, winning the intercontinental belt was like winnin MITB, it meant that soon your time would come and you were a likely candidate for the top title. At times the intercontinental matches were better than the WWE Title matches.

In this category I would have the following superstars competing throughout the year;

Cody Rhodes, Dolph Ziggler, Big Show, Alberto Del Rio, Ted Dibiase, Christian, Daniel Bryan, Rey Mysterio & R-Truth.

The United States Championship
I haven't followed the history of this belt too much but it seems very similar to the European title from back in the day, a good title to give to an up and coming star that WWE wanted to see if they could run with a title.

In this category I would have the following superstars competing throughout the year;

Zack Ryder, Sin Cara, Mason Ryan, Kofi Kingston, Justin Gabriel & Alex Riley.

The WWE Tag Team Championships
Possibly the most underused championship in the last 5 years. It's my opinion that tag teams and stables are where all the talent is found. As far as I can remember it was always with a Tag Team or a stable that major stars found their fame. HHH, Michaels, Hart, Batista, Orton, Hardy, Roode, Storm and even the Rock were all part of a Tag Team or stable before they made it big time.

In this category I would have the following superstars competing throughout the year;

I would basically use all of the underrated and unused talent lying around and fit people into stables and Tag Teams and this would include

Tyson Kidd, Tyler Rekks, Brodus Clay, Primo&Epico, The Usos, Trent Baretta, Michael McGuillicutty...hell I wouldn't even mind seeing a JTG/Mark Henry alliance that dominated the WWE for a while.

I thing the person who commented was wildly wrong and I think if they want to show that talent has got it then don't have them win MITB and head straight to the main event picture when they are still greener then Kofi's trunks. Have a structured title picture and have a star earn their stripes by working their way through the titles until they achieve the success. Don't just have them climb a ladder and then run out and win, it's cheap and doesn't do anything for character building.

***I didn't really mention the Diva's title as thats pretty simple, have more divas time and have some proper diva's matches****

Hello all and welcome to edition 3 of The Daily Five.

In honour of the world wide mark out that happened last night on raw The Daily Five will be looking at the top five returns of the phenom himself.

Summerslam - 1994
Background - The Undertaker faced Yokozuna in a casket match at the 1994 Royal Rumble which was lost by the deadman when every bad man came out to lock him in the casket. A 'spirit figure' of the deadman appeared after the match to prophecise his return. He did come back with Ted Dibiase which was later shown to be an imposter.....this led to the deadmans return at Summerslam 1994.

Build To Wrestlemania 14
Background - At the Royal Rumble 1998 Takers younger brother Kane had turned on him and locked him in a casket which he then set alight while the deadman was locked inside. When the casket was opened however Taker had vanished. He returned just before Wrestlemania 14 to show his younger brother you can never kill what is already dead!!

The American Bad Ass Begins
Background - The Undertaker had previously been in line with the McMahon's during the corporate ministry days but after being out for sometime with a groin injury The Undertaker returned to claim his yard back from the McMahon/Helmsley faction.

Summerslam 2010
Background - During 2010 due to injuries we were told that The Undertaker had been found in a vegetative state and Mysterio and Kane both accused each other of the attack. During their casket match at 2010 Summerslam Kane opened the casket to put Rey in it only to reveal it was already occupied by Taker.

February 2011 - HHH feud
Background - After the Nexus had helped Kane win a match against his brother Taker was not seen again for months. Promos aired of Taker standing by an old house and showed a date of 2-21-11. Taker returned that night on Raw only to have his return cut short by the return of HHH who had also been absent for 11 month. Both stared down before looking towards the Wrestlemania sign showing what was to come.

One thing to say is that The Undertaker is definitely the king of the comebacks with some of the most well thought out and entertaining combacks in WWE history.

Long live the deadman.

Hi all and welcome to the second edition of 'The Daily Five'.

As we revel in the aftermath of the Royal Rumble we are going to look at the top 5 Royal Rumble wins.

A Royal Rumble win means a lot, it means the WWE has faith in you, that you are now at the top and it means the you have attained a prestige you have looked for from the beginning. However how you win the Rumble can also be an important factor in how your are perceived after you win.

Royal Rumble 1994 - Lex Lugar & Bret 'The Hitman' Hart
Never before had the Rumble been so shocked by an ending to the Rumble then when Lugar and Hart both went over the top rope at the same and were declared joint winners of the Rumble.

Royal Rumble 1995 - Shawn Michaels
Shawn Michaels did the impossible and in 1995 when he entered in the number 1 position and lasted all the way until the end a feat that only Ric Flair had come close to in 1992 when he entered at 3 and won. When Shawn was thrown over the rope by the British Bulldog everyone thought it was over but Michaels came back with an incredible feat of agility to win the match.

Royal Rumble 2002 - HHH
Finally 'The Game' accomplished on of the feats that alluded him through his career. In shades of 1995 Kurt Angle though he had won when he threw HHH over the ropes only for Hunter to hold on, he then came in and hit the facebuster followed by a clothesline over the top to win

Royal Rumble 2010 - Edge
After 8 months out the R-Rated superstar made a surprise return at the 2010 rumble to a massive ovation and went on to win. This propelled him to the major leagues where he stayed until his retirement.

Royal Rumble 2012 - Sheamus
Although not yet a classic as this has only just happened the sheer shock of Sheamus winning over the dead cert Y2J was brilliant, the look on Sheamus's face was priceless as the realisation of what he had just done.

Although such greats as Flair and Austin did not appear on this list I do believe the above is the top 5 Rumble wins.

As always feel free to comment below any agreement or disagreement.
