Why Sheamus should lose the title now

So in the recent Smackdown episode, Alberto Del Rio has won the no1 contenders fatal four way match to be up against Sheamus for the World...

So in the recent Smackdown episode, Alberto Del Rio has won the no1 contenders fatal four way match to be up against Sheamus for the World Heavyweight Championship. I have to say I was surprised he won the battle royal, with the apperant feud happening with Rey Mysterio, a one on one between them would've been the guess but it looks like ADR is still going to be after the title.

On to the Champion, Ever since his Royal Rumble win 7 months ago, I don't think I've seen this guy get beat in a singles or a tag team match, he always seems to come out on top. He's almost on the verge of a backlash from the fans if he keeps on winning, no one likes a face constantly winning, you want a underdog to come against odds and win. Which is why CM Punk works so well, if you watch his matches you see that he takes a beating and doesn't always seem invincible.

Another logical reason to make Sheamus lose the title is to help put over ADR with the crowd. We've talked about several time how ADR isn't working but I believe there is hope for him and winning the title of Sheamus in his next match could be the way forward. WWE are insisting on pushing ADR, so he gets all these title shots, time after time. Now then, what is the point making him lose all his matches for the title to Sheamus. WWE I feel have to do one or the other, stop pushing ADR or give him the title now, the crowd are much more likely to get behind Sheamus if he is chasing the title and hate ADR more if he is winning the WHC by normal heel ways like cheating and interferences.

Makes me wonder where Mysterio fits in the equation if ADR goes for the title, possibly a triple threat. Then you have Randy Orton returning this week and is being reported to get a push and there's also Dolph Ziggler with the MITB briefcase hanging about in the title scene. For a second I had felt WWE had made the right decision into putting ADR in a upper mid card feud with Mysterio, this would be good for ADR's standard for awhile instead of the heavy constant push to the title scene.

I like Randy Orton, I don't find him boring like so many people say he is, When Orton returns, he has to and I repeat, he has to come back as a heel. Orton was best as a heel and the viper thing suited a heel character perfectly. Now when he comes back, he needs to take out Sheamus. Orton is probably the only man in smackdown that can boss around Sheamus, this way Sheamus will become the Underdog I was talking about and fans are much more likely to get behind him if he is put in a intense feud with Orton.

I'm still indifferent about Sheamus, his promos are abit generic, the fella thing and being nice to people just doesn't seem to fit his 'Celtic warrior' character. But I understand WWE need to build the future to be faces and it is much easier to be a heel then a face. I read Triple H is big on Sheamus so we wont stop seeing him in the title scene anytime soon.
I'm not criticising Sheamus but I'm giving a way for him to rise further if WWE are planning to make him one of the top faces if he already isn't one and for me, he isn't one just yet.

So for weeks, the build up to 1000th Raw had been made into a momentous occasion. While it was fun seeing the old faces for a little reunion, something big needed to happen for the show itself to be memoriable and lead into a exciting angle to lay out through out the summer. With much speculation in what this big angle is going to happen, it was WWE champion CM Punk 'turning his back on the fans' attacking The Great One and thus presumably turning heel.
The actual transaction is very popular amongst the fans, Everyone has been craving for Punk to go back to his old self as the complaints for his stale face promos were increasing by the numbers. However the after effect on the whole picture of a heel Punk isn't all that exciting for several reasons.

Let's face it, Everyone wanted to see a Cena heel turn, including me. Taking aside all the consequences to the business like merchendise sales and going against his ethos, A Cena heel turn would've been one of the most shocking things ever. Most fans who don't use the Internet would've never seen it coming and that this moment would've been etched in their heads forever. When these fans grow up and think about memorable Raw moments they'll talk the night the great Cena turned heel, very much like the Hogan heel turn that most wrestling fans saviour.
WWE has opted out of making that risky move and have gone with the safe easy option in turning CM Punk heel. That's the problem with WWE now is that they don't take risks, they stopped Ryders push, they haven't made Ziggler leave Vickie, they never let Cena get beat by Lesner, they teased a new heel but went with the basic Big Show monster character, the list is endless.

So now that Punk turning heel is the major angle WWE have gone with for this summer (along with Brock/HHH), how will it all pan out? Well for starters, the pros of Punk turning heel are that 1) From what we've seen in the past, Punk is an excellent heel. His excellent mic skills allow him to express his comedic wit in an all out rage when degrading an opponent. The innovator of the Pipe Bomb, famous for breaking the 4th wall promos, now Punk will be able to literally whatever he likes and that should bring the Punk everyone first loved. And 2) WWE is in need of a major heel that draws. Jericho was probably the biggest heel but him not winning anything after the hyped up return has turned him abit stagnant, Show is just doing some typical monster punch everyone because I'm a meanie etc, ADR hasn't managed to rise to the occasion. So Punk has got the popularity and measures to be an effective heel.

However what goes against the heel turn is that: How will the fans react to a baddy Punk, the guy is so popular now that if he carries on with the Anti Hero stuff, he can only get more popular. The amount of fans booing him will depend in which direction he decides to take, if it's the ripping apart backstage politics stuff, not caring about anything he says, reminiscent of an Anti-Hero then I'm pretty sure that we'll have a 'Tweener' in our hands. It could be possible that he'll become a cheating type heel which will get heat from fans but somehow I don't see that happening. Whatever the character aspect he takes, it's looking to be a Cena v Punk feud again. Which brings me to my point of the prospect of this being the summer of Punk's heel turn isn't that significant.

Here you have a wrestler who was born to be a heel, return back to his old self. Whereas if you had Cena heel turn, well I've already talked about the impact of that. And I don't want to sound like a moaner going on about I want Cena heel turn, I'm fine with Punk's heel turn but there's nothing that really shocked me about it. I expect to see a Cena v Punk and maybe Big Show at the SummerSlam PPV with Punk probably cutting good promos about Cena overshadowing him while he was champion and Cena doing the usual stuff.
I would like to point out Im a fan of Punk, I wrote a blog about it actually, so this isn't a Punk bashing blog. I'm more complaining about creative not taking bold moves, not being risky. Like Cena winning MITB, it was all too safe. Agree or disagree, this is just the state of mind I'm currently at.

The Spotlight is on AJ

Maybe because the last time a Diva was at the forefront of WWE was like a century ago, AJ's involvement in the WWE championship match is causing waves in the WWE universe. Ever since Big Show accidentally hit her and her return to save DB, her character development has been in full effect.

Bryan was pushed to contend for the main belt and WWE have made AJ accompany him the whole way through. Being in a love Rectangle with Kane, DB and CM Punk, it's certain that this amount attention is the most given to a diva in a very long time. From the reaction I've been reading on the Internet, she is very popular right now with a lot singing her praises for her acting and commitment to put over the 'crazy cute chick' gimmick. However the praises aren't universal, her critics are at times remorseless when denouncing her.

Punk doesn't love her, DB says he loves her, Kane has a fetish for her, while AJ loves Punk but has a thing for Kane and also is indifferent with her ex-Boyfriend DB. Sounds like a script for a Woody Allen film but nope, it's the current storyline that us fans are privileged to witness. Its understandable why WWE are doing this, they have to provide us with an equal amount of entertainment along with Wrestling. Therefore, already having two of the strongest workers in DB and Punk, it's safe to assume no matter what, when these two fight, a quality match will be put on. Whether these 2 can provide the drama and promo cutting skills needed to add depth to the match is questionable, I'm sure they could but AJ just makes it more exciting.

You could of course argue that the WWE title should be the focal point and the full attention on the wrestlers desire to win the match. But when has WWE ever been that straight forward and when it is, it's pretty boring. Jericho/Punk feud was more about who's the best in the world and getting Punk to take a sip of the good stuff, rather than a simple 'I want to be champion'. Now to think about it, I'm realising how much this waters down the WWE championship to secondary function. At least John Cena savoured everyday he was WWE Champ but screw that, don't give Cena the title again.

"The Good, The Bad and The AJ"

Let's compare this to the last time there was a similar situation, Eve Torres saga with Zach Ryder and John Cena...and Kane, The Red Monster always seems to be getting all the action with the ladies. Anyways unlike AJ, Eve was a horrible actor and I mean her acting skills was shocking. She couldn't sell the evil slut of a women convincely enough, mind you if they let Eve be her normal self it would've been more believable.

Back to AJ, I'll admit that I'm a huge fan, her characteristics and action has been in faithful to her gimmick for the last 6 months. From the early days of been bullied by DB, the little puppy dog and then eventually fighting back and becoming a psychotic scizophreniac. Her behaviour has been interesting to say the least, she was close to taking the leap of faith on to a table, then before that, eating Kane's mouth, and hanging out a little corner in the dark by herself. I won't be surprised to find out she collects human skin, that's how far WWE could take it but I doubt they will with everything being PG and all. In a time of dropping storylines and gimmicks, this AJ thing is brilliant. None of this obviously wouldn't of work as well if hadn't been for AJ's acting skills, which I think is really good, her selling of emotions through her actions and expression gets a big green tick from me.

I've heard people say AJ is one of the better women wrestlers but I'm not really interested in women's wrestling, it'll be a step down for AJ to compete for the Divas championship, sad but true.
At MITB it's destined for AJ to play a part on who will win the match between CM Punk v Daniel Bryan, and with last weeks Raw ending with her bitch slapping the both in the face, it remains to see who it is she will help, but one thing I know is that AJ crazy chick angle has been the heartbeat of WWE for the past couple of weeks and the segments are the only thing to care about in the lackluster Raw episodes.

Alberto Del Rio will get a title shot at MITB against Sheamus, so during his injury, the wrestler that was used to fill in his spot Dolph Ziggler,...

Alberto Del Rio will get a title shot at MITB against Sheamus, so during his injury, the wrestler that was used to fill in his spot Dolph Ziggler, who was well received. WWE have clearly let us know they have no plans to drop Del Rio yet and considering there's a big chance he might be the champion soon, I think it's worth analysing him.

I'll start by saying I think Alberto Del Rio has the ability to be a good heel, his built nicely, has the reputation, has the smug look and he can carry a match. But his promo skills are shockingly bad, while that is a well known fact, WWE has always had solutions to fix this problem, a valet, a tag team partner and in Del Rio's case, a manager. Ricardo Rodriguez, whose increasing popularity has to a backlash for ADR. Nevertheless you need the main man to get over and that just hasn't happened yet, here's some of the other reasons why:

Firstly his character just isn't working , The gimmick of a rich cocky money man similar to that of Ted Dibiase and JBL seems abit too artificial. Tthis is a gimmick which in the past have done wonders for the heels but for ADR to have it now seems a bit too soon to be used again, Dibiase is regarded as one of the greatest heels with that gimmick and after that WWE shelved it for a new generation of fans to experience when it is time to put on another wrestler. Then about 15 years later JBL had this gimmick in 2004 with somewhat of good run as champion even though I wasn't a fan. After JBL left, it would have been smart to shelve the gimmick for awhile but WWE felt the need to put it on ADR in a speedy push. Similar to the new Spiderman film, they've rebooted it too quickly. So other than having the response WWE was craving (heat from fans for being cocky rich guy, someone they can't relate to), they got instead what every wrestler fears most, No Reaction.

Second point is that ADR can wrestle I know but his style of wrestling might be one of his downfalls which not a lot of people think about, but I'm going to throw my theory in anyways. With ADR's wrestling is that watching from a spectator point of view it comes of as boring. He isn't a HBK doing innovating moves like the Showstopper always did but ADR wrestles from a point of view where only a wrestling purists can really enjoy. His move set involves a lot of grapple moves that holds a wrestler down for about 2 minutes until the opponent breaks out of it by using the power of the fans built up mundane claps. Then a little while after ADR will get into another grapple to hold back and forth, after that, maybe some karate style kicks to spice things up.

Then comes his finisher, a Cross arm bar. My issue with this is that it's a total anti climax of a move, from a little spin twist then to bending the arm backwards. No matter how hard you try The fans nor I will ever be conviced that the move is the Signature move to finish of a match. Just watch an ADR match and wait for the moment he does his finisher, the crowd barely react with the absence of any shock factor. Your trying to tell me, an arm bar can be a wrestlers 'Hadouken'. Change it up, give this guy a new explosive finisher. Maybe borrow one of Sheamus's finisher, who by my counting has 5 really good moves to finish a match and God knows how many his going to come up with. I've always been on the edge with a wrestler having a submission for a finisher and while is worked with some great wrestlers, a normal move is just plain easier to get over with the fans.

It also doesn't help that Del Rio was rushed to the top way too quickly before a lot of the universe can get used to him and give him a fan following. His Royal Rumble win was out of the bloom and after that run failed, they wasted the MITB win on him giving two undeserved, forgettable WWE title runs.
It was all abit forced down our throats and the WWE universe didn't like it.
Every wrestler talks about how ADR is tough in the ring and can kick their asses. His past has allowed him to gain a reputation and is the reason for his current state of main event status. As a former MMA fighter, Del Rio needs to learn from Brock Lesnar and be more aggressive in the ring, this I reckon would be a step forward to make ADR an effective heel.

I wait to see if he wins at MITB as I feel it's time for a heel to have one of the main titles. So maybe if his next title run is booked better and he is given a different gmmick or image, it might turn the tides for Del Rio. Many things are against Del Rio and usually this would signal a 'Future Endavoured' alert, but WWE clearly see some potential in him, so they havn't let him go.

_*CM Punk fan boy
*_Of course with all the fame and success you and your fans have always wished for, CM Punks supposed devoted fans have turned on...

CM Punk fan boy
Of course with all the fame and success you and your fans have always wished for, CM Punks supposed devoted fans have turned on him because he has apparently sold out to the 'machine' and become a 'corporate sell out' or whatever the term is. His accusation are as follows: stale promos, isn't good as he used to be, ain't doing what he promised, would be better as a face etc... Nevertheless I am a straight out CM Punk mark, I mark out when his song hits, I mark out when he does his Macho Man elbow drop, I mark out when he wins a match.

I along with alot of Punk fans I'll say, jumped on the bandwagon when Punk did his future legendary shoot, ironically enough this has lead his fans of the past to turn on him because it signalled his face turn and meteoric push.
It's the classic case of a kid having a favourite Indy band and always supporting them hoping other people would realise how awesome this band and their music is, then the moment you have been waiting for, they have been received by the majority. They, your favourite Indy band has become successful and all of a sudden for whatever reason you can't accept that you are no longer in the minority and everyone else loves what you love. Everyone has to be a sort of rebel against the mainstream culture because it's the 'cool' thing to do. But then you try to justify your reason with legitimate excuses like 'their music/wrestling isn't good anymore' or their 'songs/promos aren't what they used to be' or 'their Music style/Gimmick' is just not true to their self's.

I hear a lot that people don't like Punk because he doesn't draw as much as a company face main eventer should, but that should never stop a wrestling fan to support someone or not because it has to be according to your personal preferences. It's wrong to say the majority of fans are wrong but real wrestling fans don't come in big numbers no more so I wouldnt concentrate on ratings and buy-rates as it really doesnt reflect the truth, and that Punk is the best face WWE has.

In defence of Punk recent less rebellious promos, you really have to look at the circumstances in which he is in, his environment is now different, his actions are magnified, your getting more attention and interest then you could have ever imagined. Therefore Punk has to live in a certain image that has been created for him by the writers in order for him to be marketed in the best way possible to the fans on a international scale.
So you ask why isn't Punk as rebellious as he said he used to be? Because he is now the champion, he has limitis, so the need to say something as controversial as insulting the owner of the company is no longer needed to get a reaction. On that subject of owners, a music band has little pressure from the producers to make a certain type of music but in the WWE, you are being controlled by one of the most feared egotistical man ever, Vince McMahon.

Punks promo skills are second to none, his witty Smartass comments are brilliant. When he speaks, the words flow out of his mouth smoothly with no tension and force behind it like most of the wrestlers now a days that have struggled to get over when they were world champ i.e Jack Swagger. During Punks feud with Jericho, he held it up verbally all the way through and I actually thought he out done Jericho in a lot of their promos together. Now with that being said Punk has a attribute that a lot of the past company Faces didn't... He can wrestle. Not only can he wrestle, he is one of the best wrestlers in the business right now. Now when you have someone who puts on a outstanding match week in week out and his giving great promos AND is getting reaction from the crowd, then you know that you have a real superstar in your hands.

When I look back at this period of wrestling, it would be bombarded with 2 things: Cena and PG. Punk is the only thing that can overhaul the bad nostalgia trip for an adolescence kid in 10 years time. I was too young to be fully latched on Stone Cold and his anarchist actions, consequently Punk's run in the summer of 2011 was a thrill for me to watch, and from then I became a Punk fan.
I read a report recently about how Punk was the most popular attraction at the Comic Con and while he got negative reaction for his antics with Chris Brown, it gave him a bit of much needed non-wrestling related media attention. At one point his merchandise even outsold John Cena, now that says something.I don't care how Punk does in terms of buy rates and Raw ratings because if those fans want to see Cena or a washed out Triple H instead then that's their loss. Punk is one of my favourite wrestlers right now and his feud with Bryan is something we should saviour, especially us internet fan boys who have been dreaming for these 2 independent wrestlers to get at it.

To conclude, as the title says these are reasons on why I like Punk so a lot of you are likely to disagree with me, and I'm sure most will probably say I have given Punk much more credit then he is due but this is just how I feel now. I have also given explanations on some of the unfair criticisms I feel Punk has gotten. Cheers for reading my blog

In life routing for one entity often personifies your direction of attitude and actions, whether it’s supporting your favourite football club or having a favourite boxer. Whenever your boxer fights or team plays you might order the PPV or actually go pay and watch the match. Having a favourite, adds to the love of the entertainment or sport you watch simply because you want to watch you’re favourite in action.

Now on to wrestling, I first started taking full notice of WWE around 2003 (I was 9 years old) when I saw wrestler called Shawn Michaels and he instantly became my favourite wrestler after I saw his heroics in the team Austin v team Bischoff match. I had no idea about his history, the grand slam championships and the legendary status he was already given. I watched all his matches and to my bad luck since becoming my favourite I can’t think of any other wrestler who’s got so many title shots but never actually won. Very frustrating that WWE used him to get good matches out of the opponent and kind of using him as a dummy, the amount of times he put over so many of the wrestlers of today’s generation and this is why it makes my favourite wrestler the greatest wrestler of all time. He retiring was a relief for me; I watch with shame when a wrestler carries on over his time and totally ruins their career by making a fool of them self’s. (Sorry Ric flair)

Anyways on to the present times, since HBK retiring I can’t find myself to route for someone constantly and call them my current favourite wrestler, Is it because WWE is lacklustre right now or maybe my expectation of a wrestle is too high and a bit unfair, I’ll go with second reason.
John Morrison seemed like the natural air to the throne so he kind of became my favourite wrestler, but for some reason people thought his promos were stale which I thought it wasn’t that bad and felt he needed time to grow but of course WWE let him go so I was back to square one and as of today there isn’t one clear wrestler I support above most. In the talent pool I would consider for the future is Dolph Ziggler, Cody Rhodes, Wade Barrett, Shamus, The Miz and Alberto Del Rio. There’s room for them to all become legends in their own right with given time and correct guidance (it’s all own you HHH).
But this is all in my opinion and I’m not criticising the WWE its just I personally don’t currently have a wrestler that stands out from the rest. A lot of people will love John Cena, CM punk and Randy Orton (who I think is completely underrated by the IWC but that’s another blog for another day). Luckily WWE is a sports entertainment business I never plan on stop watching so I can wait and until WWE offer a wrestler near the realm of Shawn Michaels (if that is possible).

A little thought
Is it me or has this site recently had a surge of constant blogs nonstop and forgive me of sounding like a hypocrite but people seriously need to stop posting blogs with literally the exact same point issued in a blog posted the day before. I know that’s the point of blogs, offering same point form a different perspective but I see 5 new blogs a day and it’s kind of unfair for the other blogs to not having enough time to get enough time for people to read.

But thanks everyone for reading my blog, and if it’s not too much trouble I would like everyone reading this to state their favourite wrestler of all time and current favourite wrestler on the comments below. So…in a bit everyone.

After watching a recent Vince McMahon interview, I realised how much he values WWE’s ability to export in to different countries. So I’ve decided to make a list of who I think are the most RECOGNIZABLE superstars internationally and who has helped WWE become a real global enterprise. I grew up in Bangladesh (WWE are huge there) so I have experienced WWE from a different point of view compares to the one I experience now from England.

Top 5 most internationally recognizable superstars

5. John Cena
With WWE already having international status when he was passed on the torch, his job was to maintain it at that level. Being successors to ‘The Rock’ and ‘Stone cold’ was never going to be easy. With being governed by new rules and leading a new generation I think he has done well as the face of the company for 6 years and am certainly a fan of his work. With all the criticism he gets, no internet troll can deny his popularity around the world.

4. Steve ‘Stone cold’ Austin
The man who headed the Attitude Era, no more needs to be said but I will anyways. I have theory that for the people who don’t watch wrestling don’t remember actual superstars but remember moments and no one had at that time more memorable moments than Steve Austin. At the time WWE first started really going global and travelling internationally, he led with his pictures on the posters and it succeeded with the multicultural in a swell time at the WWE.

3. Hulk Hogan
I don’t really need to explain why he is popular I’m sure we’ve heard it all before by now, but I was thinking about his appeal and I realised he had the perfect formula in every aspect. It has been scientifically proven that red and yellow together is the most eye catching colour (FACT), and Hulk Hogan had those colours. The reason everyone around the world got him was because he was simple easy on the eye character who proudly represented America when America was viewed more of an innocent country.

2. Kane
A lot of people might not agree with this but hear me out…Kane gained popularity in WWE when I was about 4 years old and I just remember me and my friends just loved him for no actual reason, I assume we liked his scary mask and the whole red hell fire like gimmick which was awesome in the eyes of young kids. If there was any toy figure kids would want, it would be Kane’s. He was easily one of the most memorable superstars for a first timer watching wrestling. I can’t think of any other superstar known worldwide as much him just by their image alone...

1. The rock
The most recognisable wrestler of all time in my view .His worldwide popularity was already of the roof before he became a big Hollywood superstar. Everybody I knew would tune in just to watch him and his hilarious promos, even though none of us could understand English we didn’t care, it was just his charisma and the famous eye brow raising that caught all our attention, and I assume that’s why and other reason of course was why he was so marketable to the fans from different cultures. Now that his movies are easy cash cows for studios and coming back to face John Cena at Wrestlemania his popularity is only going to rise.

Little thought…
There’s a difference between a good wrestler and a marketable wrestler and in WWE the marketable wrestler is the one most likely to be given more of the opportunities. I didn’t even know who Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart were, back when I was in my country but as I got in to wrestling more they became my favourite wrestlers.
I see lately people saying how someone like William Regal should be world champion for what his done in the business but I was never a fan of the guy and I don’t see it making sense for WWE to give him the championship, the mass target audience won’t really get him as a headliner or any wrestler like him (Daniel Bryan). So wrestlers wanting to make it in the business really have to work on who they are rather than just good technical wrestling. It’s nothing personal to the real professional wrestlers keeping to its roots but WWE wants performers for the crowd and frankly so do I.Getting guys like Jeff Hardy would really help WWE be interesting again.

(This isn’t a complaint by the way..Just something I hope they might want to look in to).

But yh feel free to disagree with my list above and…in a bit everyone :)

I’m going to get straight to the point with this one, but in my opinion the internet and IWC has played a huge part in the demise of WWE and its popularity in recent times. This theory is one of the first reasons that come to mind when I try to compare ‘attitude era’ to the ‘PG era’. Internet was jus on the rise in the late 90’s and early 00’s and you would have had to be really rich to have a pc and computer compared to now where nearly every home has internet.

First the IWC unintentionally influences people’s opinion on the WWE’s current state and what they expect from the future. I first started going to wrestling forums and websites like this around 2 years ago, and I have noticed a change in how I look at wrestling and how I feel while watching RAW every week.
Same way as someone neutral came to a WWE related website for the first time has a read of everyone’s opinion towards a certain wrestler and automatically the reader notices he has the same feelings towards that wrestler next time seeing him and then comes to an agreement that this wrestler is not what he initially thought about him, regardless of how he felt at the start. It’s similar to reading a film review before washing it, and you can’t help but have an already made perception of the film while watch it. I’m not saying this happens to everyone but I know it’s a common thing to happen.

Another example I can give is the Chris Jericho return, when I saw that I don’t know how I felt about it really, did I just see a piece of genius or a big disaster. I was impartial with my opinion because I have been on these WWE websites for awhile and I have read enough reviews to know that a lot of people think way different to me.
Anyways I was leaning more towards that this promo was rubbish and I decide I m not happy with it. But the next day I went on wrestling sites and forums and read all the blogs and posts about how this whole thing is genius and his doing to fool people. This example shows the internet showing WWE for the better but it proves how other people’s opinion effect your own. Other examples is the many blogs about john cena and people are against him, his fans notices his faults and people think that its ‘cool’ to hate cena so they go with it. Also The IWC complains about ‘raw’ nearly every week and how it’s not good enough and I never agree because you can’t really have a 2 hour show with everything being exciting, the culture of complaining has and never will stop but WWE now has the same amount flaws as ‘attitude era’ did, I feel but it’s just magnified now days because of the internet.

An issue WWE is also facing is its ratings; it’s not as big as it used to be, but if WWE counted the amount of people that watch it on the internet through streaming or something similar it would be another story.

That’s also similar with PPV buy rates; many people find it much better as to watch it on the internet and not buying it as PPV. Nothing like this was around 10 years ago and people didn’t have an alternative to paying for it.
One more issue is that the internet ruins surprises with the WWE and the spoilers that’s when a certain surprise returns happens, it doesn’t become a surprise anymore as most people knew who it was anyways and the spoilers has definitely ruined Smackdown for me because I just read the results instead of watching it on Friday night. I’m not complaining about this particular issue because obviously I can just not read it but I’m saying it doesn’t really help WWE.

Of course the internet can also work for the good like them hyping a certain wrestler like Drew Macintyre or Wade Barrett who was never really on my radar but because of these Websites I have noticed them and now am big fans of them. People are allowed to put their opinions on websites I’m not saying they shouldn’t because that would make me a hypocrite but I’m only stating that this is the situation we have and the circumstances are different so comparing this era to the one 10 years ago is a bit unfair.
Anyways this is just a theory that I threw out soo yh…in a bit everyone :)

Here comes the Pain: Brock and the WWE

When I first heard Brock lesner announced his retirement at the loss to Alistair Overeem, it was like sweet music to my ears, mainly because I knew he will be coming back to the WWE. He is 34, which is young for someone to retire at the UFC, I assume the only reason he retired is mma training is just way to hectic for someone like Brock lesner, who's probably been training his body since he was a teenager, and all that work just caught up with his body and seeing what current mma fighter are doing to prepare for fights and learning and learning to fight at a young age. He was never going to keep up. But all credits to him for making it to the top and for helping the UFC be as big it is today.
Now that his retired, I'm pretty sure his going to be back to WWE in the near future, he still has muscles, I’m sure he still can pull of good matches, and he’ll definitely be in the title contention as well as earn a lot money from it so It just makes sense on both sides for him to return.

Why WWE NEEDS Brock lesner:
First of all I would want Brock to go for the World Heavyweight Championship, it's no big secret that this area of WWE needs some credibility and someone who actually look like a menacing Scary guy that no one can beat. The current champion, Daniel Bryan...your joking me, I understand all that his done but it's about what you can do now and maybe it's just me but no, I'm not sold on him. Also the no1 contender Big Show, someone Brock lesner has had a great feud with has run out of steam. I'm just not a fan of either, don't enjoy watching his matches. Mark Henry is decent I guess, he looks more muscly than just fat (big show) so I didn't mind when he was champion. This title run is just screaming for someone like Brock lesner to come and save it.

What Brock lesner could offer:
What Lesner can offer? Well let's see, he was already a huge superstar before UFC, multiple WWE titles, king of the ring and the royal rumble under his belt. He pretty much has a huge following and every fan would accept him with open arms. We all know he can cut crazy promos if he is heel and he can cut funny promos if he is face, his backstage clips with Kurt angle and the divas are pretty funny.
Another huge plus is that he went to UFC and not only did he make it in UFC he was the face of their company, everyone loved him and he constantly drew interest from the outside world whenever he was fighting. I remember when his fights were on Facebook people that didn't care for UFC would talk about watching him fight. He is famous really famous, so if or when he goes back to the WWE his going to be bringing a whole bunch of new fans that he got from dominating UFC and give WWE much more publicity.

After they bring back Brock lesner, I want wwe to bring back the animal Batista and I want them two have a crazy feud, the thought of that feud is just crazy, this would bring Smackdown back to its best and to counter with raw keep punk, Cena and Miz in the WWE title contention, at that point WWE will be back to its best and of course it will all be depending on how smartly it is done but I’m sure that won't be hard to do. At that point if there is anyone still complaining about the state WWE, then those people are just impossible to impress because...it just can't get any better. Raw has prestige, Smackdown has prestige...I see big things heading towards WWE.

Conclusion:
WWE and Vince better be working hard to sign Brock Lesner right now or whenever his contract at UFC runs out. I’m a huge fan of Brock lesner as are a lot of people and I know he could realm a new but short dominance of WWE along with punk. I say short because in about 3 years I want a new generation of superstars like Cody Rhodes, Dolph, Wade, and Seth Rollins who I Saw recently and was impressed by but that's a blog for another day, soo yh...in a bit everyone :)

I don't know about you lots but I’m Excited about the wwe network, I'm curious to see how it’s going to look and how the scheduling will be.
Anyways I'm going to be giving out some example of programmes they can have to make it enjoyable.

Wrestling
In terms of wrestling shows I want to see maybe wwe superstars and nxt on that channel, I think making a new wrestling show just for the network seems a bit too much hard work for the wrestlers who are constantly wrestling and doing house shows along with live shows. Maybe develop superstars for like the mid carders and high flyers and make about pure wrestling with amazing matches forget if they can cut a promo or not.
For me the main thing they need to have is classic WWE shows and matches. So basically 'raw classic' and just show great raw episodes, you could start from episode one and go up to like 2001.
Rinse out literally all of the wcw and ecw tapes to make up for air time.

Top 10...
Have like a special show called top 10, and show a countdown of great matches in various categories, e.g. Top high flying matches, top 10 upsets etc...Basically if wwe are smart they would take note from various YouTube videos where it has ideas which they can take on board that are actually really great.
One type of show I will always watch is if they have repeats of classic ppv, every wrestling w
enjoys watching those ppv's and the memory of those times come flooding back to us...happy days :D

Talk show
What I'm thinking of is like a Larry king style talk show with no studio audience and asking questions with a more serious tone. Getting current wwe superstars to talk about their life experiences and how they feel about various issues on the wrestling world today. Every other episode have a superstar like cena or punk talking about how they got in the business and talk about their current feud or all sorts, it would be a good way for them to add more heat on their feud...whatever the style and format a regular chat show would be interesting to watch and could be like their flagship show, could be hosted by someone like josh Mathews or Jim Ross, in fact Jim Ross sounds perfect for the show.

Life stories
this would be a show like I guess in the style of 60 minutes or something, mainly for the legends to talk about their time at the wwe through their thighs and lows. This show could do well for the older viewers who would have grown up watching these stars and maybe younger fans like me that don't know much about legends like steamboat or rude and learn about the history of wrestling.

Debate Shows
I find these kinds of shows fucking interesting, especially when you have someone like Jim cornette tearing apart or complementing a issue and topic. But I just enjoy hearing exerts and veterans talk about wrestling and their opinion just interest me .but this show might not work because it is in the wwe network and I only see a one sided argument ever taking place. But never know...Vince is a genius and could pull something out the bag.

Reality
I think this show has already been confirmed and I guess it'll be interesting to see old grumpy wrestling arguing while living under one roof, jersey shore and reality shows are really huge at the moment so no surprise a show like has been confirmed.

PPV
Now when I heard they might have ppv's on the channel live I was thinking the really insignificant ones like bragging rights but I'm sceptical if they will have the big 4 on the network as it just seems too good to be true.

Overall I really hope this is a success for WWE, it's definitely a bold move for the company and how this venture turns out might be crucial to the future of WWE.

In a bit everyone :)
