Cm Punk: Most Controversial Promo Ever???

Rate this Entry
Hello IWC hope all is well. It is 11:13pm June 27 and Monday Night Raw. That Cm Punk promo at the end of the show might have been the most convincing and surreal promo I've ever seen in recent memory.

If Cm Punk is leaving forever then they are letting him go out with a bang. But if Punk leaves forever, we might've just lost the greatest talker the WWE has to offer.

That promo was vicious.

Punchline #1: Teased an ROH Return & Mentioned Colt Cabanna
The guy went hard and teased the ROH return and shocked the world. I literally almost crapped my pants lol.

And then he shouted out one of the most beloved wrestler's of the IWC Colt Cabanna.

Punchline #2: He called out John Laurinaitis
I did not see this coming. He called out one of the top WWE Executives and someone has is credited for alot of the creative work.

This is something thats not even supposed to be mentioned on television and that talented son of a gun Punk did it.

Punchline #3: He called out Triple H & Stephanie
This was a shocker as well. I had no idea he was going to pull this. What he said was wrong tho lol. I think if McMahon were to meet his demise, Triple H & Stephanie would change this company for the better in so many ways.

At the end of the day the WWE is a dictatorship led by Vince McMahon, he has to right to veto or accept whatever he wants.

Punchline #4: The imfamous Stab at Vince McMahon
Well, the WWE & IWC Universe always compares or puts Punk's name in the same sentence as Stone Cold but for good reason.

Punk took a Steve Austin like shot at Vince McMahon but heres the differences: PUNK SPOKE THE FREAKIN TRUTH.

Punk called out all the backstage antics and politics that the major players in the WWE play. He called out the poster boy Cena. He taunted the fans and questioned just why isn't he on the poster's, opening promo, collectors items and movies and everything.

Heres the Question: Was it a shoot? Kayfabe? Or Both?
I think it was a combination of both.

Ofcourse it was kayfabe but the WWE did a great job in cutting his mic off and having the show the cut off without showing the WWE logo. Also give credit to Jerry Lawler & Michael Cole for their silence. They said very little when Punk spoke which sort of set the mood for what he saying. It proved that even they were shocked.

I definitely feel this was 90% shoot. I mean look at all of Cm Punk's negative tweets that he posts towards the WWE. He pretty much put all that to light.

This indeed was one of the most excited and real promos I've ever seen. All I could think about was Bret Hart & Shawn Michaels.

Does Punk have reason to be upset?
Hell Yeah he does. He's not biting the hand that first fed him because Punk was a major name all around the world in the indy world including ROH. He was already a big name.

The WWE creative team did a great job in making him 3-Time World Champ & 2-Time MITB Winner but he deserved a hell of alot more.

Punk had his spot in the bag. He could tiptoe in and out of the mainevent and still be a top guy but only because of the 18-35 male demographic. We were the ones that kept Punk on top even when the Creative Team didn't want him on top.

But the WWE doesn't mind pushing guys like Alberto Del Rio or Cm Punk because they know that they have a huge Mexico fan base. The WWE is smart and they know exactly what the hell they are doing. It's a conspiracy.

If more black people watched WWE than Mexicans that I guarantee that Shelton Benjamin, MVP, and Kofi Kingston all would've been WWE Champ at some point in time.

But when they see Punk, they want to hold him down because they know he made himself famous before he even came to the WWE. The WWE wants to be responsible for molding every star they touch which is why Zack Ryder still isn't getting a push.

More Raw Notes:
Raw this week freaking delivered to the point where I can't wait to keep watching.

HBK went on a Sweet Chin Music Marathon, and the shot he took at WCW was classic.

Booker's backstage work was epic

We seen DDP on WWE programming.

Evan Bourne & Sin Cara was awesome, didn't like the ending but it was awesome. Bourne carried that match.

Mark Henry has just marketed himself as the World's Strongest Man & the New Baddest Man on the Planet. They need to push this guy to the limit. I see so much in his future. He is a far better heel than Big Show & Exekiel Jackson was. Push this guy to the freakin limit, he is a dangerous man.

The Tornado match between Myserio & Riley vs Swagger & The Miz was sick. This was a match full of great wrestling and great spots. Say what you want about the Miz but he know's how to put on a great match.

Why this was a great Raw?
The show ended with Cena on his back between a table. I'm a Cena fan but seeing this was different.

Its a far better outcome than the normal 27 consecutive weeks the show ends with Cena celebrating. This ending was what Raw needed to take that next step.

I haven't seen an ending this good since the episode where the Nexus debuted. Also an episode that ended with Cena on his back or on a stretcher. This is called controversial television.

McMahon knows exactly what the hell he is doing and I comend him. He picked a perfect star in Punk to publically call out all his backstage politics. Greatest Raw of 2011 for sure.
