With Rock vs. Cena announced, and Punk vs. Jericho and HHH vs. Undertaker sure to come, Wrestlemania 28 is looking like it could be one of the best Manias ever. However, the WWE will still need a strong undercard and good booking to make this event live up to it's potential. However hard it may be for some to realize, WWE made great strides as a company in 2011. With a plethora of new stars, and a decent looking title scene, this Wrestlemania has astronomical potential. Here is my fantasy card and booking for the event. Matches will take place at the event in the order listed, and I have included winners and match time for realism. I went in to a decent amount of detail for most matches, and really stepped it up for the main events. Without further delay, Wrestlemania 28!
Match One: Money in the Bank Ladder Match: Wade Barrett vs. The Miz vs. Alberto Del Rio vs. Christian vs. Kofi Kingston vs. R-Truth vs. Justin Gabriel vs. Jack Swagger
--This match is certainly star studded and could make for a great ladder match. This match also provides us with a great high flying encounter that could get Miami fans pumped. Wade Barrett wins in 14 minutes.
Match Two: Intercontinental Championship Match: Cody Rhodes(c) vs. Goldust
--Cody Rhodes has done a spectacular job with restoring prestige to the IC title, as he's held the belt a while and actually defends it relatively often. I say these two put on a show to portray what Runnels family wrestling is really about: the perfect mix of fast paced, technical, and physical. Rhodes goes over in 10 minutes.
Match Three: WWE Diva's Championship Match: Kharma vs. Beth Pheonix (c)
--Ah, a highly anticipated match that could breath life back into the diva's division. Two monster diva's going at it, nothing better than that. Kharma wins to set up a long title run full of dominance. Kharma in 8 minutes.
Match Four: Rey Mysterio vs. Dolph Ziggler
--Drafting this card, I found these two with no real spot other than money in the bank. Why the hell not? These two had a great match at Summerslam a few years back, and this would be no exception. Dolph Ziggler wins in 13 minutes.
Match Five: World Heavyweight Championship Triple Threat: Randy Orton vs. Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan
--Great looking bout here with some real potential. Sheamus wins this one in 14 minutes and has a stare-down with Barrett (Money in the Bank holder) after the match.
Match Six: WWE Championship Match: Chris Jericho vs. CM Punk (c)
--What's looking like an epic feud continues until Wrestlemania when these two finally lock up. Nothing else to say, CM Punk wins in 23 minutes.
Match Seven: Tag Team Match: The Big Show and Shaquille O'Neal vs. Mark Henry and Kane
--You may think I'm crazy, but its a better alternative to Show and Shaq one one one, we won't have to see Shaq in the ting as much and the match gets a little bit of a larger than life feel. It gets Kane and Henry on the card too. Kane and Henry think it's ridiculous Shaq is featured on WWE tv (much like us) and it leads to a tag match. Show and Shaq win in 5 minutes.
Match Eight: Casket Match with Shawn Micheals guest referee: HHH vs. The Undertaker (HHH's career on the line, Taker's last match)
--A cool stipulation to spice up this match. Shawn Micheals looks confliceted throughout the match n whose side to choose, meanwhile the match is a brutal brawl with not as many finishers as their last match, but lots of weapons, counters, and back breaking moves. Taker wins in 27 minutes, and after the match not only HHH and HBK, but many of the Undertakers streak victims come out to salute the end of his and HHH's careers. HBK, HHH and The Undertaker walk out together, signaling the real end of the WWE attitude era, as it's final warriors are gone.
Match Nine: John Cena vs. The Rock
--It's time for the main event, and machine gun kelly comes out. He performs "Invincible" as Cena drives out in a muscle car, standing on the roof as he takes in his surroundings. Not to be topped in one of the best entrances ever, A car is seen driving through the streets, with two police cars in front and back of it. The Rock drives in with a police escort, and the pyro goes crazy. The two have a fast, action packed match that makes people jaws drop. These to do not put on a classic because of ability, but because of all the emotions pent up inside of them. After a 26 minute encounter, Cena wins. After the match, it appears as if he's going for a handshake, but he F-U's the Rock, embracing the hate.
That's how I would book this Wrestlemia, but that's just me. regardless of what predictions come true, I truly am excited ofr this Wrestlemania. As always it's been your main event blog. Thanks for reading.
