Bear with me. I'm sorry for misleading you, but here's an original idea. I know you disapprove of fans like myself sending in "idea's" but I am no ordinary fan. I have a 180 IQ and have studied the industry from top to bottom. I have an honorary degree in marketing and psychology, I have the credentials. I just pick up on things, I'm not some nut (though I'm sure my word wouldn't convince you), just a fan who knows a good product. The product is very good right now, but I feel contributing my idea is necessary. I don't want any gratitude, you don't even have to reply to this email. If you want you can mock my idea on tv. You can use this idea in three years time. You can do whatever you want, it's yours. So , enough of my ego defending myself, here's my idea.

John Cena is your cash generator. If you ever turn him heel, you can keep him that way.

The idea is, he stays the exact same. He doesn't hate the fans, he stays fighting for the fans. He continues loving the fans. But he's a heel who see's no wrong with his actions.

The perfect bait for this would be Rey Mysterio. One year ago Rey Mysterio won a torunament for the wwe belt and John won again later in the night. Rey Mysterio is the only person I believe who can make this work.

Have Mysterio once again become champion. Do it at a pay per view. On Raw the next evening, have John goad him into defending his championshop for the benefit of all the fan's. Mysterio accepts, because John's a good guy. Have John win, and offer a handshake at the end of the match.

The next week, have Mysterio ask for his rematch. John denies it, and manipulates the audience that it would be best saving it for the next pay per view. Mysterio accepts, grudgungly.

When the pay per view happens, John can win with a belt shot, something fishy. Now it's all open for your announcers to play up that he is up to no good.

From then on, have Mysterio and your announcers and anyone you want to work in question John about his actions. But John never changes. He still thinks he is the good guy. Always. The fans boo him, and he just laughs as usual why some hate him and others don't.

When Mysterio pushes him for a rematch, have him add the condition that his title is on the line in exchange for Rey's career. Him ending his career will turn him fully. But John will never change, he will still do everything for hte fan's in his mind. He will attack babyfaces and justify it. He can steal someone's girlfriend and justify it. On this, have Cena and AJ part ways, scrap any long term plan for the moment (if you are interested in this pitch), and put her back together with Daniel Bryan maybe. Have him steal AJ and of course justify it, and she is so in love with him she believes that he is right and everyone else is wrong.

He can still sell merchandise. He will still push himself as the good guy that kids will still look up to him. He will still do the make a wish appearances because he still thinks he's the good guy. Nothing changes with John, he will always be the good guy and he will think he is doing people a favour by attacking babyfaces.

They say the best bad guys in history really believe that everything they do is right. In character, John Cena is the good guy as of now. He will still think he is the good guy, but he is the bad guy.

Just an idea. You may have this in the pipeline already, or something similar. You might have no intention of ever making him a heel. But doing it this way will mean you can always make him a good guy once again. Just have him be the same guy as he's always been. There's not too much to change, just the kind of people he feuds with. He justs needs to always justify why he does something heinous.
