Bodie seems like he's in a bit of tough spot, but at least he's still around, he's grown on me over the last two seasons. I was a bit sour on him at first, mostly because he was a flash fucker who needed bringing down a peg or two, but he's become one of my favourites since his character has developed throughout the series. But, yeah, he's in a tough spot--this Marlo fella is a bit heavy, and could be the end of the line for Bod'.

Just saw that message about Mello actually being the real life Landsman and think I'll have a little read up on it. I haven't stopped watching it for long enough to read anything about the show at all. I certainly plan to, though, as I usually end up needing to find out as much as possible about things I like.

Prez as a teacher has so far been eventful, with that girl getting her face slashed. Sheeet, that was nasty.

Just started season four. For a nasty little murdering scumbag, I must admit that Felicia kid cracks me up! What an opening scene to the season. In fact, I have to point out that the opening scene of pretty much every episode has been a winner. I'm telling you, Apes, after those opening two minutes and the first strands of the theme song ["when you walk through the garden" will be stuck in my head forever. Seriously, I've still got "Louie, Louie, Louie, Louie" stuck in my head] hits, I get proper amped up for a FULL hour of this shit. Then repeat ad nauseum lol.

After about half hour into this first episode I'm surmising that it is very much a straight continuation of the spiders web of a storyline that was the straight up monster named season three. If so, that's a good thing.

Prez's arc actually ends up being one of the show's best.

I don't know if you're aware of this or not, but the characters on the show were all inspired by real life people. Some of the people that the characters are based on even appear on the show in other roles (for instance, the real Jay Landsman plays Lieutenant Mello).

My favourite characters are Herc and Carver--those two could have their own spin off. Quality pairing. But, the whole team has likeable qualities, McNulty is a very close second. Lester is quietly one of the strongest presence the show has. When he speaks, it's like everybody listens. Dude's never wrong either. Bunk is pretty fucking great as well, and when Kima got shot I genuinely felt bad for her, which says a lot about how the show just draws you in and makes you care about things.

Even Prez has a few likeable things about him, but what a fuck up he is. From that time he gun bucked that kid in the eye to shooting an undercover cop, he pretty much qualifies for one of the worst choices to be allowed anywhere out of the office, not even to pick up Chinese food.

D'Angello I liked, and was a little gutted when he got got, but Brother Mouzon has just come back to town, and Omar (FTW) is out for Stringers blood so it's only a matter of time before Stringer finally gets his.

Season two was definitely for me. It was an obvious culture shock at first, but they never actually stopped focusing on the Avon/Stringer storyline, the just enriched the whole plot by adding all the drama of the docks. Every character that was introduced in season two had worth and I enjoyed the change of pace. Frank, Nick, and Ziggy were top notch characters played by some pretty damn good actors who only enhanced the show. Plus, how can the first episode of season two end with thirteen dead hookers and not be off to a fucked up (in a good way) start? Just great, great material right there.

Oh, wow. You're on the Hamsterdam stuff? Yeah, you're zipping right along. I can't wait until you hit Season 4, as I think it's truly the most powerful of the bunch.

So what did you end up thinking of Ziggy? A lot of fans bitch about him, but I actually found him to be one of the more interesting characters of the entire series.

Hilariously, when they air Season 2 repeats on BET (Black Entertainment Television), they edit almost all of the dock-related stuff out. I couldn't believe it when I saw it. "White people Season" indeed.

Hamsterdam is a fucked up place. Wow, I wanna see how that pans out. So far it's a social failure--when Bubs was looking around and wondering just where in the hell he was, you just know it's only a matter of time before it goes horribly wrong.

So far, season three has been great. Like, I had my doubts that seasons one and two could be topped, but it's like this shits been in beast mode from the first episode.

Season one as a stand alone piece of work was surely one of the best police stories ever told. No level of the "game" was left untouched, and that is obviously the shows charm. Season two and the whole Frank Sabotka storyline only made things better. That one episode with the duck had me cracking up.

The whole chain of command thing is one of the more compelling things about the show for me as well. All about dem layers

So, here's a little feedback on The Wire.

It truly is the most compelling TV series I've ever seen. Truly. Breaking Bad is certainly on par with it, almost neck and neck. What makes The Wire even better than BB is the sheer volume of fantastic and realistic characters that I've come to give a shit about one way or another, and I'm only had way through season three.

It's almost like two different shows that blend into one. Like, I haven't watched many cop dramas, and that was kinda what ha me stalling on starting The Wire, but I swear, it's the cops in this thing who have won me over. Brodie and the gang might be cool and all that, but I'm definitely rooting for Herc and Carver in their altercations with dem gangbangaz

There's, like, soooo freaking much to say about this show, it's hard to know where to start, so I may jump about a bit from here on out.

Just exactly what has Peter Dinklage been in before? I ask knowing I could quite easily Google that shit, but I was just wondering if you've seen any of his previous work, as he is far and wide the best actor in this series by a head and shoulders, and I was wondering if the little fella had shown this greatness before this series. Yep, irony at its best in that statement--sorry, I couldn't help myself.

Game Of Thrones rocked my world, man. Shame there wasn't more of the ice zombie things, but that part of the show is probably gonna dominate a good part of this season, so I can be patient.

The stuff with Daenerys was as usual my favourite part of the show. Perhaps it's because the whole Dograthi deal is just so different to the usual medieval fare that has dominated this genre since its inception on TV. There's also the fact that she has fucking dragons--always winning in my nerdy book! Their inclusion in the series is also reminiscent of Steven Ericksons Tales of the Malazan, which is hands down my favourite piece of entertainment in any medium. Totally worth checking out if you're in any way a book reader. Speaking of books, and completely off topic, I recently listened to the audio of World War Z, which is a fantastic post zombie war survivors tale of immense proportions. Read it!
