Thats great news about the meeting, but, I've never watched it. I know my mum really enjoyed it, though, and Robson Green is quite a big name over here. He used to be in a program called Soldier Soldier, but his big break came after he did a cover of Unchained Melody with Jerome Flynn... Robson & Jerome were HUGE for a while in the early nineties, and Unchained Melody was at number one in the charts for fookin ages!

So... Wasn't really much help, was I?

    BTW, how's the back, man?

Ahh, thats a shame about Memphis Beat. I was wondering to myself what Jason Lee had been up too since they cruelly canceled Earl, so I looked him up, and thought I'd ask the expert

Another thing America has given us are crime dramas... Lot's and lot's of crime dramas. CSI (insert state) is loved by many a British citizen.

I'll give Men of a Certain Age a spin, as Ray has a certain charm that some makes it impossible to hate, try as I might. Although I wouldn't go as far as to say I love him lol.

I was meaning to check out Memphis Beat one day, too. Any good?

    Also, here's a few more.

    My Wife and Kids
    Sponge Bob Square Pants
    Simpsons
    Family Guy
    South Park

As you can see, all the real gems are well hidden.

As for Louie CK. He's so obscure here I couldn't even get Lucky Louie on DVD, and when I finally found it on Amazon, it never worked on my DVD player due to region codes. Although it does work on my laptop, and I'm gonna hit that up soon. Arrested Development IS my next port of call. If I can't download it, I'm gonna buy it. By the end of next week, either way, I'll be watching it. I did some IMDb-ing and Michael Cera is a guilty pleasure of mine (Year One, SuperBad, Scott Pilgrim, Youth in revolt.).

But with HBO becoming very prominent due to our new TV channel, Sky Atlantic, theasses have been exposed to some fantastic stuff, so things ARE at least on the up.

Man, that's a toughie because all of the big American comedy actors are really big over here, and their movies do great numbers at the cinemas. But our US TV comedy programs (on terrestrial TV) are very limited. Friends is still on everyday, as is Everybody Loves Raymond and Fraiser. My Name is Earl was quite big here (I loved that show) and The Big Bang Theory is still going strong. Are you impressed yet? Nah, didn't think so. At the moment The Mentalist seems to be high on everybodies list, but I can't be having it. I have a feeling that Channel 4 and Chuck Lorre have some kind of deal going on, and the majority of Brits think that that style of US comedy is the norm. The US Office was on for a bit, but it didn't really take off, although it's still on Sky TV's Comedy Channel. When a UK show gets remade by Americans, the general (mis)conception here is it won't be as good as the original, which is a shame, because the US Shameless look brilliant! Maybe even better than the UK one.

So, I'm on episode 13 of the third season of Parks and Recreation, and I can honestly tell you I am digging this show, and having never really got into the American Office, I didn't think I'd like it at first. But, it's made me think that I've been missing out, and I'm gonna give it a whirl when I've finished the last episode of P&R. Ron Swanson has to be one of the most bad-ass male characters I've ever seen, and the episode where he hooks up with his ex-wife is a classic. I can't believe this show has SO many of my favourite American comedy actors in it, and in that sense, it definitely gives Eastbound & Down a run for it's money in that department.

Have you seen the new episodes of Louie? Man, I fookin love that show, and I am having the hardest time getting the theme tune out of my head... All my pals at work are like, "who the fuck is Louie?"... Ahh, if only they knew, hahaha!
  8. I wish most of the console RPGs being made these days were more like this joint. I'd rather shell out $60 for something like this than for another Final Fantasy XIII, any day of the week.

Im really glad you gave it the time of day.. I seen how you said you loved Chrono Trigger and there was no way I was gonna let this one slip by you haha.. Its got the multiple endings and all that other good stuff in there.. I really enjoyed my time with Radiant Historia and I felt like it was my duty to recommend it to people that could truly appreciate the game..

Believe me, if you ever give Radiant Historia the time of day, you will be thanking me.. Its the closest thing to a Chrono Trigger sequel that you can get (even more than Chrono Cross).. I was just reading an editorial on Game Informer about the dying RPG genre.. They said the consensus was that with the big big budgets these days its gonna be hard for RPGs to thrive but the editorial's debate was that it was alive and kicking stronger than ever through the handhelds.. The game they singled out for coming to get that SNES style RPG fix was Radiant Historia.. I really hope you do get the time to try it, because I would love to hear your early review on the game..
