AEW President Tony Khan is confident that his promotion can compete with WWE and believes the latter promotion’s court filings prove it.
While AEW Dynamite won the Wednesday Night Wars with NXT, AEW programming has often struggled when compared to WWE’s main roster.
When a fan said that AEW will never win against WWE, Khan suggested that WWE’s “own sworn court filings” prove the opposite is true.

While Khan didn’t go into specifics, it is likely he is referring to MLW’s anti-trust lawsuit against WWE, in which Vince McMahon’s promotion is accused of monopolizing the wrestling market.
In March 2022, WWE highlighted the success of AEW programming as proof that MLW’s claim is not accurate.
At the time, WWE also highlighted AEW Rampage’s success in the key 18-49 demographic when the show went against SmackDown in October 2021.
