Wouldnt better to the business that cena win, will sent him right to legend status
If anyone thinks the rock will win, then they are an idiot! Fact!
Cena will win and while were at it, make it a retirement match for Rocky!
If Cena wins? Oh man! That place is going to riot & throw shit in the damn ring.
I don't think it's really clear cut on who's going to win as WWE can play this in many ways. I hope this isn't just some lame passing of the torch match just to help Cena's image & status on Rock's account.
The same thing happened at wrestlemania 18. The rock faced hulk hogan, but then everyone booed the rock and loved hogan, its the same thing again now, people always think the past wrestlers are better. In ten more years John Cena will be facing Zack Ryder in a dream match and everyone will love Cena then.
When the Cena fans grow up, they will still love him, he will always be "their" rock and no will will ever replace that for them and they will barely even know who the rock is or what he has done.
Since Cena/Rock and Taker/HHH are the main event matches most likely, one of them has to be for the championship so I expect Cena to win back the WWE title sometime this year and defend it against rock, and win. And much like Rock/Hogan a few years ago, it'll end with Rock extending his hand to Cena and both praising each other to end the show.
Afterall, Cena is the face of the WWE and in order for him to cement himself as one of the greats, he has to have that one unforgetable and memorable moment (which he doesn't)
And competing and winning this match will do just that.
Rocky will get inducted into the hof and will be praised regardless in Miami. Yes, it's his hometown but this is Cena's company now.
First off, The Rock was the favorite until it got to Wrestlemania for the match & do to the fact it was in Toronto? It's no surprise on they acted especially with their history let alone being known as "bizarroland". Look back at some of those videos during that whole storyline & you will see Hogan wasn't that liked until the night of Mania.
Second off, in ten more years John Cena will be facing Zack Ryder in a dream match? Really? I mean...Really? Someone spread the dope your smoking because I'm sure every drug lord would love to have it.
And finally, your last comment is funny all in itself because what you fail to realize is the demographic that are fans of Cena is the same demographic that goes & sees The Rock's films or the films that are appointed to that demographic. The Rock is just as relevant if not more so then Cena in that demographic & for you too say they will barely even know The Rock or what he has done? To begin, there is alot wrong with your final statement also unless they have an extremely short term memory by what you are saying they do (wow...you just spit in the face of an entire generation) I don't think by any means they will forget The Rock & what he has done. History has a funny way of carring itself throughout generations. You have an exceedingly close-minded viewpoint on how you look at things but I digree. Actually, The Rock has a bigger fanbase whether it's inside or outside the ring then John Cena. Cena's only big in the wrestling world which is a small world in the bigger picture of things (especially by today's market) compared to what the level of The Rock who's not just overly big in the wrestling world but just as big outside of the wrestling world something of which Cena isn't even remotely close too being. So, if you are going to ask who's going to be remembered longer? Technically, it will be The Rock in the end.
It's a second version of Rock/Hogan at WM 18 with Rock in Hogan's place and Cena in Rock's place. Legend gets cheered, current main gets booed. The current guy wins, passing of the torch, mutual show of respect. Yadda, yadda, yadda.
Actually dude, I wouldn't expect either match to have a title because neither one needs it. A title is usually only used to attract a certain match up that needs extra attention. The hype for those two matches you named alone will be a selling point. Hell, The Rock alone is a major selling point.
P.S. I don't want to see any kind of handshake at the end as it will just cheapen everything.
