It's a hip-hop retelling of the Final Fantasy VII story, using various melodies from the game. I'll upload it if anyone requests it.
Here are a few of my favorite VG Soundtracks, plus a few of my favorite songs from those soundtracks..
Mother 3: "Confusion", "She Was Like A Sunflower", "Whats Beyond The Tunnel"
Chrono Trigger: "Schala's Theme", "Secret Of The Forest", "Corridor Of Time"
Secret Of Mana: "A Bell Is Tolling", "Eternal Recurrence", "Phantom And A Rose"
Lost Odyssey: "Immortal Life", "Eclipse Of Time (Harp Version)", "A Return, Indeed (Piano Version)"
Rule Of Rose: "A Love Suicide", "The Attic", and all the piano etudes of the theme throughout the soundtrack
Star Ocean Second Story: "Theme Of Rena (Music Box Version)", "A Quirk Of Fate", "We Form In Crystals"
Donkey Kong Country: "Stickerbrush Symphony 2", "Aquatic Ambiance", "Forest Frenzy"
Streets Of Rage 2: "Slow Moon", "In The Bar", "Go Straight"
Wild Arms 3: "Advanced Wind (Whistle Version)", "Wandering Bird", "Only The Night Sky Knows (Whistle Version)"
Brave Fencer Musashi: "Forest Of Sleep (Night)", "The Voice From Heaven", "Dragon Isle"
FFVI: "Coin Song", "Veldt's Theme", "Shadow's Theme"
I'll just end it from here, and return later lolol..
Streets of Rage III's soundtrack > Streets of Rage II's, IMO. Songs like "Inga Rasen", "Fuse" and "Cycle I" would probably be considered cutting-edge techno if they were released today.
I have a feeling you'd really get a kick out of the album I mentioned above. The rapping can be pretty sketchy, but a lot of the beats are fairly creative (more so than Team Teamwork's Vinyl Fantasy VII mashups)

I swear, man, you and I have about the exact same taste in game music. It seems like every time this subject comes up, you usually have me beaten to the punch with stuff I came here to post.
EDIT: Anyways, I'll go ahead and add Bionic Commando: Rearmed's entire soundtrack to the mix.

My brotha Supergoing aka the Artist Formerly Known As Necroyeti!! I will say I picked Streets Of Rage 2 > SOR3 because around the time that game came out, there were no musical scores on games like that.. I really felt like the music of SOR2 emulated the sound of the early 90s.. It had techno like tracks, but also there was a soulful vibe to some of the BGM.. It reminded me of the music from C&C Music Factory, and other Miami influenced club music around the time.. Now to the Black Ran project I definitely made sure I checked that out when it dropped.. And I agree to the fullest that the production was waaay more well put together than the Vinyl Fantasy production.. But I like Vinyl's more due to the Gucci Maine song "Stupid" lolol.. I couldnt believe they sampled that resort town from FFVII, it was like a mashup made in heaven..
Thats because The Miz says we're AWESOME!!!! lolol What can I say, besides great minds think alike... #Salute to an opinionated guy, that I truly respect!!
True Crime:NY....Got every thing from Black Rob's WOAH("Like WOAH! Cars like WOAH!") to Blondie's Hangin On The Telophone...
