On Blast from the Past today, I thought we would take a look back to 01/04/1993 and a NJPW/WCW cross-brand Title for Title match featuring the IWGP Heavyweight Champion - The Great Muta - vs. the NWA Heavyweight Champion - Masahiro Chono. This is truly a classic match.

The Flair vs. Valentine match went to a 60 minute draw and was not included in this Video do to the fact that any footage from this particular match is very rare and hard to find. The rest of the show is in it's entirety.

Great thread Dr. Death!

This thread wouldn't be complete without the Magnum vs Tully I quit match. The biggest compliment I can give to this match is that when I was a kid, despite the fact that I knew wrestling was "fake", I genuinely thought Magnum and Tully hated each other. This is as intense as it gets!

I was pretty convinced they hated each other too at the time. Same with Magnum and Nikita ;)

I was a huge fan of Magnum TA and remember his feuds with Nikita Koloff and Tully Blanchard. Those feuds and matches were very intense. I'd like to present a two out of three fall match on Blast from the Past. It'll be from September 13, 1986 - For the US Title - Nikita Koloff vs. Magnum TA.
