Hello, I am new here. I would like you to select the greatest 5 WWE wrestlers today, in terms of their current performences and status.
mine are:
Cena (still)
Ryback
Shamous
Daniel Bryan
CM Punk
again, it's based on their current performences and status in the ring. otherwise, I had put in Kane, no doubt.
so let's vote and discuss, dudes
I don't there's much debate. The 5 you selected are the top guys in WWE right now.
Damien Sandow is working his way up there.
Orton's role has declined since his latest wellness policy failure, hence why I didn't vote for him.
I would say Dolph Ziggler, Damien Sandow... and of course the obvious Cena, Punk and Sheamus..

If you had Wade Barrett in there I would of had him in my Top 5.
'Greatest' is a big word and I don't think it can be used in the same sentence as most the guys on this list. If you are going to use it loosely you still can't use it for guys like Ryback and Sandow. They just haven't been around long enough and been in enough story lines to say that. I voted Ziggler but even still he hasn't had a huge major defining story line yet. (MITB doesn't count as he hasn't cashed it in yet)
Thats not to say that if you ask this question in a year or two's time that they wont be topping the list. All have so much potential.

Don't fan Sandow, I know many people like him but you can't say that a guy who is here for a year one of the greatest
I would seriously start considering Antonio Cesaro for this list (moreso than Ryback)
After watching this match (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mV_LnlEN3uE) from this week, I was even more impressed than before. He has some ridiculous power, perhaps more than Ryback. At 53 seconds in he does a free lift modified suplex to Kidd with Kidd's feet not even on the ground. That lift is 100% Cesaro. That's pretty impressive I'd say. His toss up into an uppercut looks badass too. Reminds me of a Street Fighter video game type finishing move. :)
Top 5 (in order of wrestling skill/quality):
1. Dolph Ziggler (Best move-seller out there right now)
2. CM Punk (Great move set and execution)
3. Sheamus (he always does something in a match that surprises me at how agile he is)
4. John Cena (he has only 5 moves or so, but when he showcases his strength is when he's most impressive. I think he's the strongest athlete in WWE quite honestly after seeing how easily he can hit guys like Big Show, Mark Henry, and Tensai with the Attitude Adjustment).
5. Alberto Del Rio (I think his style of wrestling is very clean and he has some pretty cool moves)

6. Antonio Cesaro (I think he's on his way up the ladder... FAST)
7. Damien Sandow (He's entertaining and follows through with his gimmick well in the ring)
