Here is my thing. If i get into a show, i become invested into it. Once im invested into it, i dont stop watching it unless it goes to total garbage. Perfect example, scrubs. The first 8 seasons, great tv. I started the 9th season, and after a few episodes i stopped, because it wasnt the same show. In my eyes, himym hasnt reached that point and still wont when it ends in 2014

To a degree, I'm like that, too- but it's usually because I'm invested in seeing the story arcs play out. With HIMYM, though, there really isn't an arc so much as there's a hook, and I've just lost interest in seeing what kind of fish is going to get caught. The show has been in a total stasis for YEARS now, and I just can't talk myself into watching wheels spin when there's so much better television out there to watch.Quote:
