You could have gotten a better result with using an appearance for (saddened to say) Sonjay, Douglas Williams, The Pope, Kid Kash, or even Crimson because all these guys have been booked so weak the last few times we have seen them, it wouldn't hurt their credibility too much and produced a better match than what Wes had.
I think they should have thrown a hook at Kurt over his petitioning for the GutCheck shot. He should have wrestled Wes with the stipulation that if Kurt loses, he can't get another WHC shot for 6 months (AJ like but without the constant reminding of the audience) just as a simple way to avoid a "Finger Poke" moment in GutCheck. If anyone could have made Wes look good, it would have been Kurt. He could have gave Wes a balance of looking good style wise and looking good "in-ring" wise, and it would have made him a much more believable GutCheck winner; right now it appears too blatant of an easy way to advance the A&8s storyline. Of course, had they gone this route, they could in no way allow Wes to win, which is what they were going for... I just think it would have been a nice twist than the predictable route they chose.
