WWE Balance of Power

Here's my source of this before we even get into this...

Yes the source is a little dated on info, but being the smart fans we are :rolleyes: I am pretty sure we can all figure out where these guys stand. The point is to find out where you stand on turning talent. Compare the top 10 of each column; you will see that there is a major problem with the idea of switching so many characters in either direction (especially face to heel) - There are more *my opinion* stand out Heel characters. In order to successfully turn a MAJOR Face (For the sake of argument, the higher one on the list) to Heel, you need a counter part to balance out.

I have a few questions - First is there anyone not on the list that should be? (like I said, the information is dated)

Second, which ones would you flip? (remember, every face turn has to have a heel turn)?

Third, who do you think would benefit the most from a turn when they are re-introduced to the fans on TV?

Last, which two character turns do you feel would benefit BOTH (a) the character and (b) the company the most?

First bolded - For everyone who says the Undertaker, Brock Lesnar, Christian, Swagger, Henry, Bourne, HHH, Riley, Ryan, or any other character that has either been injured or not on regular television, just know I did this purposely.

Second Bolded - Use the inactive to come up with who should turn before being re-introduced


And last folks, I know this opening is a long post, so I am sorry. However, please explain your views as to why you'd like to see these turns. I can get that you might want Dolph a face and Sheamus a heel, but we want to know WHY you think that would be for the best; we don't need a novel, but a little insight helps.

From the chart I gave, can you pick out characters that "need" to be a face or characters that "need" to be heel? Basically I am asking how you would justify balancing the heel to face ratio.

People who i think should turn within the next year
Face to heel
Orton-because he wants to but it has to at the right time
Clay-becaus he wont get anywhere with his current gimmick
Ryback-maybe after mania to fued with Cena,monster champion dont really work with faces
Kofi-Maybe if he wants any chance of moving into the main event,maybe align with Punk again.He is boring as a character(but not in the ring)
The Usos-Can see them turning with a push
Sin Cara-Probably for his future fued with Mysterio

Heel to face
Wade Barrett-Probably wont happen but but im english and i love him!
Del Rio-Now i think this needs to happen if he is to stay relevent because he has done all he can as a heel and is boring.I hate it when he squashes Ryder or Santino every RAW.
Rhodes-Dont think his tag team with Sandow will last much beyond next summer-should freshen him up a little.
The Primetime Players-Becaus they are hilarious!(especially O Neil)
Drew Mcintyre-Get away from the 3MB crap and push him on his own he is still the chosen one!

The 2 most benfeficial turns for character and company are The Miz's recent face turn and a Randy Orton heel turn to get a main event heel besides Punk

Took me a second, but this is a topic discussing heels and babyfaces and if there is a fair share of it in the company, right? Well, on paper, yes, there is a fair share. That's not the problem honestly.

The problem lies with talent playing the roles. Some talents are too good thats it hard to hate them and others just SUCK at being heels and babyfaces that its hard to like them. Sheamus is a prime example of a talent that just SUCKS at being a babyface. He acts like a heel and does nothing to really shows us he is a babyface. WWE tells you Cena, Sheamus, Orton, Khali, and others are babyfaces, but barely do things that make them come across as a babyface. I like Team Hell No, but they've been acting like heels since day one and just recently started acting like babyfaces. On the other hand, we have a lot of heels that the fans LIKE and treat as babyfaces. Zigger, Rhodes, Ambrose, Rollins, Reigns, and CM Punk are some of them. That needs to be fixed. Orton turning HEEL is a step in the right direction. Miz turning face? Well, that one I'm not quite sure of just yet, but we shall see.

Btw, the roster looks depleted as hell. I hope Christian, Henry, Bourne, Swagger, Hawkins, Batemen, Dibiaise, Riley, Ryan, Barreta, and others return soon.

I understand, but this is all the more reason for this thread to be started. It seems as though the WWE has flipped people over necessity rather than by a logical Design (Sheamus being a key example). However, even if Sheamus is better in the heel role, there needs to be that face opposition that can make his battles more interesting. Just because people like Orton enjoy playing the heel role more, doesn't mean it will be of benefit when the only good guys to face him are going to be Cena, Sheamus, Ryback, Kofi, and R-Truth (some of these ARE Raw exclusive as well). Following that you are getting down to Brodus Clay, Santino, Ryder... Without having a somewhat level playing battle ground, there is no "challenges" in the way of the heels.
