We should respect the fact that Edge has chosen to leave the wrestling business behind him and move on with his life. If more retired veterans did that, professional wrestling would be in a better state.

What meaning of the word "retired" do some of you not understand? It's this kind of stuff from the fans that encourages guys like Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair to stick around and hog the spotlight from the next generation.

Edge is done. It's over. The Hall of Fame was the final moment of his career. And he wants to keep it that way.

I'm not sure if you got this but wrestlers come back after a while. Edge loves wrestling, he might say he doesn't like it now... but I wouldn't be shocked to see him make a few promos or even have a short stint as a gm or someones manager.

Oh by the way if you live in america, that dvd that I am talking about is on netflix... it's the one where he is already retired...

Just throwing this out there, but even if he hadn't gotten injured I am pretty sure he would be retired now or getting close. I believe he had said that he had planned to retire by this year... So yeah

i would have rather seen him go out on his terms not medically

Yea, That's my thought as well.. but he said the good part is that he doesn't have to make that decision because life kind of made it for him.

yea, I think he would probably of retired this last wrestlemania or this next one... he said he wanted christian to end his career at wrestlemania.

Edge already knew when he got injured in 2009 that his time was almost up, and had he not retired in 2011, it would've been within the next 2 years anyways. He also said that once he retired from the ring, he was done with WWE, save a guest appearance here and there.

Being a general manager always leads to things getting physical. Edge's reason for only doing guest appearances is the same reason Shawn Michaels only does guest appearances. Anything more than that leads to coming out of retirement.

that woulda been a heck of a way to go out . in a tlc match! lol:D

wrestling is fake my friend... if he wanted to be gm it doesn't have to lead to any physical altercations because creative decides if it does. Yes he said that he was done with wwe but he wouldn't be the first Canadian to lie about that.

I think christian is one of the most underrated wwe superstars of all time... so I agree that would of been an epic way to end his career.

ive never been fond of him i think of all the tag teams in the tlc era he was the worst of them but hey what do i know lol

Edge went out the way that every wrestler dreams of; The guy on top of the company as a World Heavyweight champion and a match at Wrestlemania. He was comfortable with the way he left and he refused to stick around because it was rumored that his Legends contract was laughable. Even if he did come back he would be tempted to get back in the ring. Although he would make an interesting GM Edge never wanted to be that guy who sat on the sidelines while the other 'kids' played ball.

I like his acting career so far. He has an amazing chemistry with the cast of HAVEN.
