I don't get why everyone here seems so jaded on the subject and blaming themselves when the real culprit is WWE. Like when I sit and watch WWE I can somewhat enjoy it, but not as much because they don't leave much to the imagination. Now TNA on the other hand I find myself marking out most of the time because they give me things I won't expect. I didn't expect Devon and Taz to join Aces and Eights. I didn't expect Austin Aries to beat Robert Roode for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. TNA makes watching it's show unpredictable for me and I love that about it. WWE doesn't do that for me anymore.

Let's put it this way... the whole point of a magic show is to dazzle the audience and get them to believe that there really is magic going on. Once you know that it's not really magic, there's less fun in it. Sure, you can still have fun watching it but the show loses some of its luster, and for me personally NOBODY that WWE puts out is going to have that same kind of wonder that guys like Hogan and Warrior used to have when I first started watching wrestling as a kid. Blissful ignorance you might say.

But of course that's not the only thing you can discover about a magic show. Once you not only know how each trick is done, but why each trick works, what fun is left in the show? You're stripping away the fun you used to have watching that magic show when you do that. I'm talking about this bullshit feeling of anger and saying WWE sucks when a guy like Ziggler loses a match. I'm talking about people saying that WWE is being predictable when you look at potential box office draws for Wrestlemania and what makes the most sense heading into the show and that's what actually ends up happening. You're looking at it from a business perspective, and you're not supposed to look at it that way. You're not supposed to hate WWE creative for jobbing Ziggler out to Super Cena, you're supposed to hate Cena for getting a one up on Ziggler. It throws the whole established dynamic out of proportion and those happy memories where you weren't smart to the business and just watched the product for what it was will never ever be met or surpassed because you can no longer have that viewpoint.

I'm pretty sure if Cena ran out and cost the Rock his WWE Championship match against CM Punk no one would see that coming. I wouldn't be surprised at this point if Cena done something like that with all the talk of when will Cena turn heel. How many other people out there right now who wouldn't be surprised....not only me!!!

See here's the thing for me: We saw heel Cena before, thats the part that won't surprise me, when he turns heel won't surprise me because we all know one of these day's he just might, when is the question.

How he turns heel is the only bit of excitement that i see will come out of that.

Hmmm....at this point....I don't think people would be cheering him on in the long run. Except smarks.

i think if he turned heel people would cheer him on aswell. Unless they had him do some down right nasty things that no one would ever imagine him do. But with this PG era i really don't think they could have him do anything too nasty or violent so he would just be another heel wrecking havok or taking out other popular faces, same old shit thats been done a million times over.

Couldn't agree more. Pro wrestling over the years had evolved to the point where what else can be done, ie. Reality TV has lost the flare aswell, there's just more of it, competition.

WWE is notorious for stomping out the competition when they are threatened and thats their down fall. Business is all about competition and I would think that old Vinnie Mac would have realized that by now.

I think they are slowly acknowledging that. Right now TNA is the closest thing they have to competition.

I'm honestly surprised that with the age of wrestling we are in, we haven't seen Vinnie create a company that no one knows about, and build it up, merely to rival the WWE in hopes of bringing back a ratings war.
