Bret Hart has been coming off as something of an asshole lately. But, he's simply just stating his opinion. That being said, I'm very glad that Bret came out and said that HHH vs. Taker was a very mediocre match.
Of course Triple H is overrated. The guy's a bore on the mic and never had a great match with someone who was less talented than he was. He was carried through matches and he got a lot of great breaks in the business.
And just like Bret... this is my opinion. Being a good wrestler is so subjective and as a 20+ year fan I'll never be convinced Triple H contributed much of anything to the business.

I believe Bret is just a lil angry that his career is completely over and HHH has the choice to continue or not.

This is an interesting subject as Bret is my all time favorite wrestler followed by HHH. If you watch HHH's earlier matches he is a pretty good wrestler. I have followed him since he teamed with Regal in WCW and always felt he would be big one day. You have to remember though that he changed his style to go with being a heel. Instead of finesse he became more agressive and brutal in his matches wich is what really put him over. Forget about the politics for a min. He was getting his push before hooking up with Steph. And the 'never put anyone over' is bs too. Anyone remeber who Jeff Hardy beat for his 1st IC title?!?
The reason I am a diehard hitman fan is (besides being Canadian! lol) I can still watch his matches and enjoy the technical aspects of them. I've said many times the WM 12 Ironman match is my all time favorite even though many people call it boring.
To me, HHH is greatest heel in the history of WWF/E. I appreciate his matches because you never knew what would happen. And you have to appreciate the fact he took the punishment for the Curtain Call, did his time, and probably came out better for it (something I have hoped would be given to Drew McIntyre).
My top ten list of wrestlers is diverse as I enjoy so many different aspects of wrestling. RVD's athletism. Punk's drive. Jake 'The Snake's' darkness.
Anyway, my 2 cents. And btw, Hell in a Cell was what was to be expected with 'taker in his condition. To me, their best match will always be WM 17. One of the greastest 'holey sh*t' moments in WWE.

I used to love Triple H in the late 90's and in the year 2000. I thought he was great on the mic, in the ring, his entrance, and even seeing him get beaten up was entertaining. However, I completely disagree with most of where his career went after that. The amount of world titles he won are ridiculous. I think Triple H is overrated but I think Bret is overrated too. Maybe that's not fair for me to say since he was popular in the gap between where I wasn't watching wrestling but he just didn't do it for me when I did see him.

Not too long ago I rewatched a match between Triple H and The Rock from early 97 and I was amazed at the agility and the technical ability of Hunter. But still to me, I've never been too impressed.

i think bret hart is overated. but love or hate hhh he has and will do more for wrestling the bret hart.

I wouldn't go as far to call him overrated. I have seen him put on some really, really good matches with many wrestlers in his career.
Maybe an overachiever though, in my book anyways.

Where exactly is this "not in the top 1000" quote coming from? He didn't say that in the video posted on You Tube which contains the rest of the burial. I don't particularly rate HHH among the top wrestlers ever; nonetheless, by Bret's definition of "great", I think it would be very difficult to come up with 1000 names. After all, being such a standout is what makes the true greats great, and even if you picked an era, the number of genuine standouts would be more like in the dozens than hundreds. That is, provided you drew the list objectively, not just because you happened to be a big fan of a particular guy/gal.

Hart is telling the truth! HHH is overrated. We all know why he is where he is!
