Performance Evaluation - AJ Lee

So, now that a lot of the initial feelings about AJ Lee have been dealt with in bathrooms across the world - how do we all think she is doing? The storylines have seen her go from one wrestler to another, in my opinion pretty needlessly, since she was getting a decent reaction on her own and didn't seem to need to be hanging around main event stars to get over.

So, now that she's ensconced in the Ziggler/Lee/Langston trifecta, what do we make of her now? Has she lost heat or is she going stronger than ever? Should she ditch Dolph and simply pursue her wrestling career or is there plenty of time for that later?

I can't help but feel that she has served much of her usefulness in the eyes of the WWE. In typical WWE fashion, they thought she was great while she was burning bright and hot but now she's on the wane, however so slightly, my thoughts are that WWE will view her as a spent force. It's happened with talent before - pushed hard and fast and then - where to?

AJ Lee is doing nothing for Dolph Ziggler, I feel Dolph Ziggler and Big E Langston are perfect together, kind of like an HBK and Diesel type duo. I feel AJ should go wrestle as a singles competitor. I'm not saying AJ is completely spent but I feel she should be with someone else other than Ziggler.

The reason I liked AJ during NXT was that she could wrestle, the reason that I liked her getting attention originally was that I thought it would lead to a title feud at some point not for her. I'd rather someone who couldn't wrestle was put on slut duty and she got her ass back in the ring and worked. Her role with the main eventers could have been done by a better actress if it was never going to lead to a match, I assumed she was involved because there'd be physicality but it became apparent there was not going to be a force against her in that way. I'm hoping it doesn't lead to her vanishing to obscurity cause the diva's division is bland enough as it is

I voted for both Strong as ever and She need's to start wrestling again. I don't think she is becoming less popular, less involved maybe, but not less popular.

However WWE is wasting her great wrestling ability, if you saw her in the indy's, FCW or on NXT you could clearly tell she was one of the best if not the best young prospect WWE had. She has been used in creative ways that showed that she has great range in character and has very good speaking skills and acting ability which have built her character, but now is the time to take that next step and push her as a wrestler.

IMO her and Dolph are great together along with Big E, they just need to use them all better. Dolph has been on a Job-a-thon since pretty much the start of the year at least as far as top matches go. He should hopefully be the next WHC though and IMO with their storyline history even if WWE starts now or after EC AJ vs Kaitlyn is by far the best Divas title feud/match they could make for Mania.

The storyline is built already it won't need that much build up just a few run-ins and segments before Mania. AJ would be in her home state and would get a great reaction especially if WWE does the smart thing and puts the title on her there (maybe with Dolph helping her), she is by far the WWE's biggest current Diva star push her and give her the title in her home state on the grandest stage there is and then continue her and Kaitlyn's feud for a while after that!

Not to mention this would make Ziggler/AJ a very entertaining and powerful heel power couple that could cheat to keep each other champion. This is my hope for this storyline, I just hope WWE follows through like they should.

Put the diva's championship on her immediately and keep it on her till the nxt divas get called up

Yep, TOTALLY miscast is how I would put in in two words. Strong point all along seemed to be her in-ring, glaring weakness was everything else, so what do they do? Have her virtually never work matches but spend what seem like eternity giving never-ending promos where she displayed the head-tilt and constantly brushing her hair back on one side as her "acting repertoire."

She probably could have been good money as a babyface Diva champ, since she can wrestle, is cute and represents a giant stride away from the made-over silicone sisters usually making up that division. Instead, someone decided "Let's make her GM, instead." Sheesh.

She needs to get back to wrestling again. Simple as that.
Yeah, she's doing fine as a manager or whatever you want to call her current role, but she's one of the better female wrestlers WWE have in their ranks, but they've barely used her in that capacity.

I've enjoyed AJ Lee's on screen contribution thus far. I don't think she should have been a GM though, wasn't really a fan or that. But otherwise she's done a great job IMO.
But back to wrestling is where I'd like to see her.

You speak as if we're all oblivious to WWE's method of working when it comes to utilizing Divas.

I'm saying that AJ is one of the better in ring wrestlers out of the divas; fact. I'm also saying that that is where WWE should/need to utilize her. Same goes for Natalya.
Do I think they will? Not likely.
