It's never been a match I have really wanted to see, but after the Rumble and the way things looked. Yes.. I'm slightly disappointed because I feel it would have been a good match for us (The fans) and an amazing moment for them (The Rhodes family). As already stated though.. it's not totally over and who knows, perhaps in the future the match could still happen.
One thing they could do is have Goldust show up during whatever match Cody is in at Wrestlemania. Instead of building up to something, make is a huge surprise instead.
Also the match really doesn't need a big build up. With Cody constantly turning down Katelyn, have her come out next week and say she's found a real man who knows how to take care of a lady, then reveal it's Goldust.

The only way the match could of happened was last year with an IC title vs Career match. I think they started it when Cody was having his fued with Booker T. Goldust came out on an episode of Smackdown and confronted Cody.Also Booker and Goldust were tag partners so this could have linked well for the potential fued. Also Cody was in the middle of a great IC title reign,he made it prestigous again and brought back the old belt. Cody vs Goldust for the IC title with Dusty Rhodes as special enforcer(turning on Goldust and helping Cody) should of happened at Mania 28 but now its not a big enough match without the IC title so shouldnt be on the mania card. Hopefully it will happen at some point soon thoe,even if its just on TV
