Now that I think about it, that's very true. The Terminator is like Michael Myers.

I saw Half Nelson the other night. I liked it although I got the feeling it wanted to say something but stopped just short of actually saying much at all. I could well identify with the main character though.

The Terminator is a scientific noir film and the sequels are more action.

Agree with the sequels being action, the 3rd one had a sort of tongue in cheek parody feel to it to.

But the first just feels like a Friday the 13th or Halloween movie, but with a robot. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed it, but it pretty much followed the formulaic "slasher" movie but with the whole time travelling cyborg aspect.

This is just me being super anal, but I think the phrase you're looking for is "tech-noir". (HINT: it's even the name of the club in the movie.)

Saw the new Resident Evil movie last night. Was awesome to see so many characters from the game in the movie. It was a good movie but I se it being trashed by the hardcore fanboys

And I like Sci-noir more, Yeah Ima tell them to change it to Sci-noir.

Anyone watch "The 5 Year Engagement"? I thought the movie was pretty good with some interesting comedy. Could have lived without Jason Segal showing his manhood and talking about his "baby penis" (hits too close to home man) as much, but I thought it was still a funny movie. Blunt and Segal seem to have good chemistry in the film.

I don't understand the appeal of seeing so many characters in a movie like this when the characterizations are so hollow and 1-dimensional. I mean, yeah they got some people and dressed 'em up like characters from the game, but beyond that there's nothing. Granted, I haven't seen the latest installment, but I doubt that it's significantly different from the execrable other 4 movies. The previews just screamed more of the same, with the only apparent innovation being Paul W.S. Anderson's ability to find new ways to suck the soul of what is already a pretty soulless movie franchise.

That's why it Confuses me when people say the first film is better than the second one.

What's the confusing part? They obviously find the first movie's strengths more appealing to them personally than the comparative strengths of the second film.
