I was thinking that Casino Royale was about as good as a Bond movie could get, but Skyfall proved me wrong, rather handily. Just absolutely superlative filmmaking. Sam Mendes was as big of a boon for the franchise as Daniel Craig's casting as Bond. Not only did this make for the best Bond in the history of the franchise, but Skyfall was just flat-out one of the best movies of the year. I'm not even joking. A master class in thinking man's slam-bang, for sure.
Between stuff like this, The Avengers, and The Dark Knight Rises, 2012 may very well be the best year for blockbusters in the history of film.
To me, she possesses all of the qualities that I attribute to the character of April O'Neil, and I think she'd be pretty much perfect in the part. I especially like the fact that she's someone I could legitimately buy as a reporter. But Megan Fox? Yeah, that's a friggin' farce. At least I can take solace in the fact that the movie is all but guaranteed to not be good, so Kendrick is probably better off being distanced from the project.
Zero Dark Thirty, Argo, Spider-man, Avengers, DKR, Looper,The Invisible War, Brave, ParaNorman, Frankenweenie, Les Mis, Moonrise Kingdom, Amour, Skyfall, Silver Linings Playbook, Lincoln, Django, etc.
I doubt 2013 will come close.
Also Zero Dark Thirty stars are starting to pick up some big roles. Chris Pratt got the role of Starlord in "Guardians of the Galaxy" and Jason Clarke is going to be in Dawn of the Planet of the Apes
