I found this paragraph to be quite comical because the description of the uniforms were almost mirror images of how the kids at my school dressed willingly (I attended a private school due to my higher grades in most classes which granted me a scholarship to the school). The majority of kids were either (a) born into a wealthy family that could afford the tuition so they tended to have that "prep" look naturally or (b) kids who were born into wealth but were revolting from the comforts it provided and would express their freedom with black polo shirts instead of the pastels. Being not the one who was able to shop at the Gap/Banana Republic/Dillards, I opted for wearing whatever we found at a Garage Sale that fit and was within dress code. I just found it funny that the majority were already set in their future path so their worries were minimal outside of not wrecking the 2001 Hummer that daddy bought them for their 16th birthday.
As to the streets comment, I had enough family members who supplied me with illegal substances to which I would make my "milk money" from on campus. It's amazing how many people with such little problems in life find the need to escape reality. The closest to the "streets" that I ever came was in the neighborhood I grew up in, but even that was skewed. I have seen plenty of dirt in my lifetime, however, I was usually shielded by the family members when things would get to a level of "incrimination" that might leave me with a record to my name. I was informed on what things would occur, but when shit hit the fan, I had numerous cousins that would take the fall and get me away from the dirt before it got to a life or freedom threatening level.
I think that the term "Perfection" shouldn't be used when humans are involved. As we are all with fault, there is nothing truly "perfect" about us. You add two into the mix and the faults increase two fold (if not more). At this point in my life, I have yet to meet anyone who would think to use the term "perfect" when discussing their spouse. Sure, you have those who have been with someone for 3 weeks and throw that term around more loosely than the word "love", but I am referring more to those who have been together for years and still find a way to appreciate each other each and every day. If someone can renew their love for another at least once a day and they don't even qualify themselves as being fit to use the term "perfection" as a synonym to their relationship, how dare I to try to act better then they when I know the ins and outs of my own life?
for me, January is always the worst month of the year.
You people you're really fucked up when you are drunk:p
