You know me better than that; of course I "could" dispute it... But even I don't like being that blatantly wrong during a debate ;)

^^^^ This. Before my military career I was heavy on drugs. Smoked weed everyday, did coke, tampered with meth. Joined the Marines and still tried to do drugs. Almost got caught smoking herb in Afghanistan by my C.O. and he scared the crap outta me lol. I quit smoking until I got blew to smitherines by the roadbomb and got discharged. Then I started smoking again! It really does help with PTSD symptoms ;)
Nobody has commented on my blog so far :(. Sad Poot is sad
I had the same outlook. During rehab, I was given the original "Blue Book" and began reading. As I wasn't addicted to alcohol, a lot of it was just stupid to me... But the more and more I would read and the more mandatory meetings I had to attend, the more things started to click. The book wasn't a step by step instruction manual but rather a helpful guide as to how to deal with the emotional aspects of the addiction (and yes, being addicted to drugs has a massive effect on your emotions). I think the book gave me more than the program did, but the program helped me to see the people I did not want to become; those who dropped their addictions to drugs for the addiction of repetition with the weekly meeting. There were people who literally would go through withdrawals from missing a meeting the way others would go through withdrawals from not shooting up. Substitution was not the answer to help me repair the parts of me that were defective.
This one, right?
Holy Crap. Aloisick is on and it shows him as "private messaging". I'm sure he's probably begging one of our fine mods to come back. Dude is batty crazy
