But looks like Ryder has been bumped off SS as Jomo v Dolph Ziggler has now been announced - who do we see winning this match, could it be a push for Morrison

Looks like Vince can't decide whether he hates Jomo more cause he thinks he's a pussy or if he hates Ryder more cause he doesn't get that whole "internet" thing

or it could be a good faith deal as far as renegotiating Jomos contract, as I see it, even if WWE doesn't want to make Jomo the new WWE or WHC champ, they really don't want to lose him to TNA, so a mid-card belt may be a good way to keep him playing on their team.

or I am overthinking this, and they just want Spiderman to help put Dolph over.

I think WWE are killing 2 birds with one stone here.
Firstly, they have Morrison on ppv in a title match, which is all part of buttering him up to sign a new contract.
And secondly, it seems to me that they're going to be milking the Ryder petition angle longer, since there's an article about Ace snubbing it on WWE.com.

"It was announced at Tuesday's SmackDown taping in Bridgeport, Connecticut that Dolph Ziggler would be defending the United States Championship this Sunday at the Survivor Series. It was originally reported that John Morrison would challenge Ziggler for the strap on Sunday. However, other reports claimed that Ryder would be the challenger.

WWE.com announced Wednesday that Ziggler will defend the United States Championship against Morrison at the pay-per-view event.
