Its definitely has the same mechanics and gameplay as the first.. Pogo bounces and Golf swings all mixed in for some fun platforming puzzles(for bonus treasure to get your greedy Scrooge on).. It seems more colorful and more detailed than the first one, but still dated nonetheless.. Regardless of all that, I know you really want to know if it will strike the nostalgia chord with the gameplay and it does.. The boss battles are still as fun as they were back then, and if you loved the first Ducktales, then this sequel wont damage that reputation.. If I can recall the story was based on the Ducktales movie and they added some of the newer characters into the sequel like Gismo Duck or whatever the superhero robot duck was called..

You wouldn't happen to know anything about the 2nd Rescue Rangers, too, would you? I've known about this one for years, but it hit toward the end of the NES' life-cycle, and somehow it just kind of got lost in the shuffle as I moved onto the SNES and everything else. None of my friends ever had it; I never saw the title at any kind of gaming store; and even with all of the yard sales and flea markets that I regularly hit up for the express purpose of finding old cartridge-based games, it has always somehow managed to elude my grasp.

Duck Tales 2 and Chip and Dale 2 are pretty damn rare. Just checked UK ebay and the few DT2 carts that are on there starting from £50 ($75~ish) up over. Not even one C&D2. Only ever played them on roms. The first games though will forever hold a place in my heart

Anytime, its my pleasure.. Ducktales 2 was a rom I played a couple years ago (I missed it too back then), so that review was based off memory.. This Chip & Dale 2 game if I can recall correctly, was a cool game but I never tried to complete it, I would play a couple levels then switch roms out of frustration.. I think it had the SMB2 element of picking up items and throwing them.. I think im going to restart the rom and give it another run through, but it plays exactly the same as the first, I dont think I liked it as much, but the boss fights are always fun..

Yeah, they're both pricey. I ended up dropping a little over $85 last night to procure my copy of Duck Tales 2. And while I know it seems like a crazy amount of money to drop on something that I could have just grabbed an emulated version of, I am a collector...so I can totally rationalize to myself that it's only going to increase in value the longer that I hold onto it.

They tried to cancel the 2nd because it took them so long to make. the best 'incomplete' game i have ever played on KOTOR 2

That is an amazing game. I had been raving about it for years since it was announced for a release(Has it been years?). I heard it was supposed to be a full and individually cased game, but I guess the developers got lazy and it just became a X-Box 360 DLC. I always thought the game had potential and could have ended up being one of the greats.

It was supposed to have been released as a full disc game late last year, but it got shoved into being only a DL game. It's a blast and for $15 a good buy.
