I'll always hold Sonic the Hedgehog 1-3 for the Sega Megadrive close to my heart, many an hour of my childhood was wasted annihiliting Badnicks and good ol' Dr Robotnick as he was known in the day !
Fast forward to modern times and the Halo series is the best damn thing ever invented ! That is all.

I've got a couple favourite games.
Back in the days of the Nintendo 64, Ocarina of time was without a doubt my favourtie game, it still holds an important place today. In my opinion, apart from Majora's Mask there has been no Zelda game which has come close to matching it since release.
Another special game to me, and it may seem somewhat tragic, is Shenmue on the Dreamcast. I was amazed by the scope of the game at that time, and it was really special to me because I have a keen interest in Japanese culture.
But in the current generation, while there have been great games like GTA IV, RDR and Bioshock, my favourite game would have to be Oblivion. Which will probably be replaced by Skyrim later this November.
