what about this one, anyone play this?



I've had it sat on my shelf for months, and not played it!

It's got its share of flaws, but there's some enjoyment to be had with it. It's divided up into 3 separate campaigns (marine, alien, predator), with each featuring their own set of strengths and weaknesses. The highlight of the game, though, is actually the multi-player.

Really, I felt like a weekend of reasonable fun for the $20 I paid for it wasn't too bad of a deal.

What about this, ahhhh memories

Yeah, I loved this back in the day, too. Tried revisiting it a year or two back, and lets just say that it hasn't held up too well.

You know, I don't get that whole one-or-the-other attitude that so many gamers have, either. I'm especially perplexed by the crowd who act like enjoying a Nintendo game is somehow a threat to their masculinity and/or adulthood. They use their hardcore-ness as a means of positing their gamer credibility, which in turn makes them look like a way bigger dork than readily admitting to enjoying a Kirby game.

Giving my PS3 some attention after weeks of ignoring her. What does she greet me with? Guardians of Middle Earth and Ninja Gaiden Sigma for free. Oh how I miss thee.

Sigma is pretty glorious. Even more so after spending some time with 3.

But, yeah- PS3 owners who haven't hopped on Playstation Plus are kind of (and by "kind of", I mean "completely") whack. I think it bears repeating that it's currently the best value going in console gaming. Sometimes it seems almost too good to be true.

With the freebies you get, my subscription paid for itself on day one. That's unheard of.

Yeah, I got an extra year stacked on top of the one I already had just for getting the Playstation credit card and then charging a six pack of beer on it. And in addition to that, they also gave me $50 to spend in the Playstation Store.
