Heavy Rain was okay. The camera angles ruined the game play for me though. It was like I was playing Resident Evil S.T.A.R.S.

The camera angles were great it was made too look and feel like you were playing through an interactive movie.

I bought a brand new PS3 over the weekend for cheap.

So what's the first thing I do on it? Why, play old Playstation 1 games I found in my cupboard, of course!

Currently re-playing Final Fantasy IX since I have a massive boner for it's soundtrack.

Tried to get into Deus Ex but couldn't found it extremely dated and the voice casting seemed just plain wrong didn't suit the characters at all.

Also tried out Hunted which should appeal to me but again i thought it was awful and it seemed it would of been decent about 7 years ago but now its just boring.

But for something positive-

Playing on my 3DS i kinda do understand the love that this console has been receiving, Mario is kinda excellent and really uses the 3d very well on certain levels, Street Fighter 3D which i do love kinda wish Marvel vs Capcom or Street Fight x Tekken gets released for the DS after playing on this and finally Zelda, they seem to of updated the graphics very well but the 3d IMO is terrible and gives me a right headache when i use it but otherwise very good.

I had similar thoughts when I first played it, plus I also thought it was too tough. Then I randomly revisited it one day, got completely engrossed, and it became one of my favourite games of all time.

I can only suggest you don't completely write it off and revisit it again someday - maybe not tomorrow, maybe not even in 2012, but some day. Just keep it buried in the back of your mind somewhere.

Picked up kingdoms of amalur reckoning today, what an incredible game, its a mix of Fable and God of War, Some of the creatures look so awesome and this really is a beautiful game.

I have a feeling it might get to be abit repetitive but so far so good.

My friend recently bought it and has given me similar feedback. Like Necro said, I wouldn't completely write it off. It is a fantastic game once you get into it. And as far as value for money goes, it's well worth a shot.

Final Fantasy IX seems to be slightly harder than I remembered, having only made it through the past few bosses by the skin of my teeth.

Could always grind my characters' levels up, but I reckon that shit's for wusses. (as far as modernish RPGs are concerned)
