That being said, the release of Pikmin 3 signifies the start of a pretty strong offering of software that will continue through the end of the year. The next couple of months have Wind Waker HD, The Wonderful 101 (which I'm REALLY excited for), Scribblenauts Unmasked, Sonic Lost World, Super Mario 3D World, and Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze all dropping before Xmas. Plus, there's a lot of awesome multi-plat stuff hitting, too, (Rayman Legends, Assassin's Creed 4, Call of Duty: Ghosts, Watch Dogs, and Batman: Arkham Origins) all of which will benefit from the excellence of GamePad-only play. And then you've got Bayonetta 2, Super Smash Bros., and the aforementioned Mario Kart 8 hitting some time in the first half of next year.
So while you probably don't need to rush out to get one right this second, it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to start setting some funds aside.
