The IWC ???

I really fucking hate this term

Why does it exist? Are we all members of this supposed community just because we post on a wrestling forum? Just because I enjoy watching wrestling and have access to the internet why am I generalised like this? I'm given to assume that "the IWC" is looked down upon from the actual wrestling community. So why is it perpetuated by fans who post on the internet? Why is it just wrestling effected by this? I used to be quite a frequent poster on various video game blogs, kotaku and the like, I was never a member of "the IVGC"

When I first got back into wrestling, like 2 years ago, I had no idea about this term. Browsing various sites and forums I came across it quite a lot and I legit thought it was some sort of governing body, and authority of sorts much like the NWA. When I realised I was wrong though, I thought it was kind of funny for a while anyway, now it really bugs me

Every time I see some one mention "the IWC" on here now I cringe. I'm cringing right now typing this post. It really fucking bugs me, I know it shouldn't, but it does. I'm wondering what everyone else's thoughts are on this?

It's the opposite with me, I find it rather hilarious, I'm known for my 'drive by IWC' turn of phrase (much to the annoyance of some, hence the above )

I just find it hysterical that I can use the term in a 'derogatory' manner yet it seems to pass most by that I am a member myself. Irony isn't a strong point of many on here and many things get aero planed.

Or I'm just really annoying.

I hate the term too! I don't know about you though, but I know I ain't no member of the IWC and can safely say that seeing the assumption of people who would be called, members of the IWC.

.People that love Ryder and think he should be in the main event.
.People that constantly are always complaining and then say.. "I'm never watching it again" then come back once more too complain the next week.
.TNA fans who hate on the WWE.
.WWE fans that hate on TNA.
.People who wonder what has happened to gimmick's in wrestling then instantly slate what they believe to be "stupid" gimmicks like Fandango, Brodus Clay and so without actually seeing anything from them yet. You know, some people would have thought the Undertakers or Goldust's gimmick was "Stupid" too at some point. You have to give them a chance.
.People who are still using, Weed the people.
.People who constantly cry out for the attitude era when in reality, they had some stupid stuff there too, ever thought it's just you might be older and don't have the same love you once did for wrestling?.
.People who think there idea's are great and would do a better job in charge then Vince.
.People who talk about pushing this guy, or that guy without understanding, to do this.. somebody else needs to be dropped in there place, you can't push everyone.
.People who when something good happens, are instantly looking for faults or are wondering when the said company are going to mess it up.
.People who want wrestling to get edgy, then the moment it does.. people complain and moan. for example, When Punk used the Kings heart attack to gain heat.
.People who don't buy the PPv's and stream everything and then still complain about the show sucked, like they deserved more for the zero pence they spent.
.People who think because they watch so many different wrestling organisations, they are superior to someone who does not.

If you are a few of these, I would say that's a member of the IWC. IMO. let the hate on me begin..

So you're using generalizations and attitudes, that YOU don't cherish in high regard, to paint people under one brush? If you're not down with any of that sort of stuff, good for you but I'm pretty sure it's neither fair or accurate to dub others as members of a community based off of limited observation instead of some kind of solid confession.

Yeah that's fair man, but we all seemed to be tarnished with the same brush as being members of the "IWC" because we are on a wrestling forum is that fair too?.

I use the term IWC because many members of the IWC think alike. It's also a way to talk about all the people on this site because I don't really think all of them are smarks.

Absolutely not. Communities are founded upon mutual understanding and commitment to ideologies. Since there's no real blanket model for the IWC anyways, it's nearly impossible to assume that every wrestling fan on the Internet can be part of one centralized IWC.

As I said, that's my opinion of what I have noticed as people who would be seen/refereed to themselves as members of such group. I'm wrong? then fine, I can deal with it It was just my opinion and it's counts for nothing anyways.
