Is Michael Cole Damaging RAW Ratings?

Cole is doing a decent job but they need to go into a different director with him than burying talent.

I'd like Matt Striker or Josh Matthew to do the play-by-play though so Cole can stop pretending hes good at it and focus on being a douche.

Vince McMahon may give Michael Cole the ammunition, but Cole is the one who aims and pulls the trigger.

Michael Cole has never been the best commentator, at least in the aspect of telling a story. He is very knowledgable and can string words together like some of the best, but his method of commentating is just down right horrible. Cole is like the anti-JR. While Jim Ross can use commentary to build up a match, tell it in the form of a story, and make it seem like it is the best thing in the world, Cole uses it to destroy and seem completely uninteresting. This wouldn't be a problem if he had someone to counteract him and wasn't on both shows. Unfortunately, he is on BOTH RAW and Smackdown and overpowers ALL the commentators, and the only thing he does is BURY people unless it is the Miz, or makes them seem uninteresting. That's a problem within itself.

Do I think he should be replaced as a top commentator? YES. Please give that back to Jim Ross. Do I think he should stop commentating? He doesn't have to, but he does need to be utilized better to help improve the product, especially at a time like this.

He does not need to be replaced. He just needs to eliminate his attitude that he can do or say whatever he wants and everyone else has to bow down to him. He constantly would criticize Booker T about being biased when Cole is biased himself. And there is no reason for him to be at the announce table on both shows anymore. If he is, then King, Josh, and Booker might as well be too.

maybe they should turn him into a manager like i read in one post here. I believe he would be an excellent manager considering his loud mouth. maybe manage his wrestlemania trainer jack swagger back to the spots he was at in 2009 and 2010.

Cole can call a match decently...the entire blame should be on the creative who made his character annoying...bring Matt Striker back to commentary...he can give gud hype to midcard n lower midcard...

King is also ding no announcing at all..he's there to announce but, most of the time he's sitting quite....I am unable to see any match on Raw or even on Smackdown...because announcing is that worst..

where as I'm enjoying superstars (both match quality and commentary r gud)

He needs to go back to where he was from 1997-2009.

That was the only Michael Cole we ever liked.

I use to like him from 2003-2009 but now its hard to hear him commentate. I know he is doing his job but sometimes I say to myself "Shut the F%$# up and call the match!" as I hit the mute button.

Cole is just fine. I want announcers that aren't separated as heel announcer (Cole) and face announcer (King). I want them to have their favorite wrestlers and stick with them when whether they're face or heel. I'm sick of hearing Cole sing his admiration for a wrestler when they do the bad thing. I'm sick of King cheering when a wrestler does the right thing too.

I am here to start points of discussion and who gives a flying fuck about me not citing my sources, if you can't look outside EWN and read other stories well that's not my problem, but you guys really have to cut that crap out, and no i am not butthurt because that word is useless to me...you guys are the ones trying to stir the fucking pot by posting useless tags in this thread where i wanted to start fucking discussions about what is really going on in the wrestling world, not some stuff about predicting how long this uy is a champion and why that guy isn't attracting, i'm trying to hear other people's opinions, and if you guys think that's not the point of this forum well then ban me because i dont really care anymore.
