Idea for reviving the tag team division

While reading one of the blogs an idea that had been circling around my head came back and I wanted to share it with y'all to hear what y'all had to say about it. Since Johnny Ace is the GM for both shows would it be great that with his power to the people gimmick he will make a tag team tournament. But I am not talking about those regular tournaments that us always heel team vs face team. Wouldn't it be great if you had a tournament where a heel wrestler is tagged with a face wrestler. It could be an 8 or a 16 tag team tournament consisting of pretty much anyone in the roster.

Since it is face/heel teams facing each other who really knows who will win. You can have teams like Sin Cara and Del Rio together or Christian and Santino or maybe a tag team between Cena and Heath Slater. I know this type of tournament is done in Mexico and I think is great because for example you can have the Usos facing each other in a tag team match with people they haven't even fought against before.

Although I have seen that in Mexico if there are two heels from the same group they won't fight against each other but they will against the faces.

What do you guys think? Who will you tag together?

I was wondering about something like that yesterday while watching a match between Tyson Kidd and Joe Hennig (Michael McGilligutty). There was a lot of talk about them bringing out the best in each other, in reference to an ongoing feud, but for some reason the thought of them being a tag team kept crossing my mind.

It would be interesting if the teams were legitimately random and there was a tournament that ran for two or three weeks between RAW, SmackDown, SuperStars, & NXT where the last match ended up on a PPV.

I think this is a great idea, i would really like to see something like this happening if it was randomly drawn. Tournament style in general is great like king of the ring i would love to see it brought back as à ppv

i dont like tag team wrestling, way too predictable with the ''hot tag'' in every match...boring!
but if i was forced to revive tag teams id do it the way he said =]
