Ok, so I am guessing here that you don't actually geek out enough over stand up to get that there are actually different types out there.
the type of comedy that Handler employs is generally that of an insult comic, in that 9/10s of her routine is her insulting different people. Hence why I compared her to Lisa Lampenelli, who is one of the better known female insult comics (and a lot funnier)

as far as calling her low rent? maybe a bad choice of words, the word I was looking for was "shitty" because she just isn't very good as a stand-up comic. I have no idea how she is on her talk show, since aside from the clip put up by the OP I haven't seen it.

All that aside, in your rush to defend her you may have missed that I was doing close to the same thing, or, to put it a simpler way for you.

Like I have said most of any comedian insult anyone, it not just Handler.... Look at all the Trump jokes/Bush jokes/Obama jokes Letterman and Leno has done... (Most of the time) You don't see many people get upset with a comic doing their job and making people laugh....

Fortunately for me, I don't know who she is, and judging by the obnoxious way she acted in the video, I won't be looking her up either.

People are just closed minding. People like to think that all sports have to be 100% real, and when they find out that winners are pre-determined or that most promos are scripted, then they bitch and moan about something they don't have any interest in.

People need to realize that it's just as real as the TV shows you watch, especially reality TV shows. Law and Order is fake, people don't actually go to jail, but you don't see people complain about that. Survivor is heavily edited, people don't whine about that. Hannah Montana isn't actually a good singer, little girls still watch her TV show.

It's called entertainment for a reason, and yet the training that they do, the work they do, and the injuries they occasionally take, ARE real. But like I said, nobody is ever open minded about things anymore.
