When RVD had his last match in the WWE, it was against Randy Orton, where he gave RVD a DDT on the pavement, and injured him. Is TNA slapping the WWE in the face? Or handing RVD on a silver plate?

Why would they just stop using RVD like that and let him go back to the WWE? They're usually looking for WWE talent to hire. I think it's another case of Russo not having anything in mind, and so they're planning to let RVD's contract run out, and then he can go to WWE if he wants. BTW RVD showing up in the MITB match would be awesome, but they haven't done a big return like that in ages, so I highly doubt they would do it.

Well they had Booker T return, Rock semi-return, Chris Jericho return, maybe RVD will return as well. I don't know, but it does seem funny to me that both the WWE, and TNA would have RVD going out after being DDT'd on concrete. Maybe they're sending a message to RVD, telling him to deflate his ego or something - (I don't know, just guessing).

Do you think TNA is that smart? RVD was a popular name from the WWE, so I doubt they really care what attitude he has in TNA. They just want to use him to make money. My guess is that they're either going to let his contract expire after this, or make a storyline out of it.

He got through it when he was in the WWE before. Him and Sabu used to smoke real weed, not that synthetic substitute crap that gets everyone suspended. It's only a $2500 fine every time you're caught smoking it. So he didn't mind. Expect him to continue doing that if he returns.

RVD was really addicted to weed! If RVD does return at WM28 he probably will compete in the Money in the Bank match!

Hahaha that's a pretty good one Doc, I wish they were that clever. However, despite Rickstarr's point about the similarities, I don't think his WWE outro and this are related. For people who don't follow TNA, Gunner has been kayfabe "injuring" wrestlers by performing high impact head moves on the outside of the ring. He did it to Garrett Bischoff(who was piledriven on the floor),he DDT'd Jessie Neal, and Doug Williams(Jessie Neal has supposedly been released,or just told he isn't going to be used any time soon.) Garrett B hasn't been on TV since, and I'm guessing Doug Williams won't be on Impact for a while either. The Gunner non-legend killer(RVD being the 1st) angle seems to be used to write guys off TV. Since RVD's contract is ending and he's been rumored to be looking to return to WWE. I wouldn't be surprised if they fed him to Gunner and had him taken out to push Gunner. He's been in a low level feud with Daniels recently(a guy he stated in interviews is pretty much beneath him to work with) and really has little to offer TNA anymore. If RVD asks to be released early from his contract to go to WWE for the Royal Rumble(which isn't impossible for them to agree to since they did it for Nash and Booker) I think they'd agree to it,and like people say,he might even show up for a Wrestlemania MITB match, which wouldn't be terrible to watch him in.

I could see this happening. I would like to see RVD in a MITB match at Wrestlemania.

RVD in TNA or WWE should now be used to get other younger stars over. Getting them over doesn't mean lose all the time. Just that he ends a feud in a loss or no contest or kayfabe injury.

Unless RVD was granted his release, he will not be at the Rumble. But after what happened at Genesis, I find it possible that he may have asked for and granted his release from the company. In which case, it's possible for him to return at the Rumble, although I still find it unlikely. I do believe he WILL be back with WWE soon, though. I just don't really see how RVD is of very much value anymore. Of course, he still has a popular name and can help WWE's incredibly shallow roster.. but he is getting older. He's slower now and TNA really killed this guy. They brought him in, put the title on him, and then terribly misused him to the point where he pretty much became a lower midcard guy. It kinda killed the excitement surrounding him. I think RVD can be a very valuable asset to the Smackdown roster, especially with Orton injured (though RVD may not be in WWE until Orton is already back).. Without Orton, the top faces on the SD roster are Big Show and Sheamus, since Daniel Bryan is turning heel. Big Show and Sheamus being the top faces is SCARY. So RVD would come in handy over on SD playing a top face.

Unless RVD decides to magically evolve and not give us the same character he's played for the last 13 years, I never want to see RVD again. Never.
