How would you have handled Randy Orton's return?

How would you the WWE Universe's loyal consumer would have handled Randy Orton's return?

I would've had Wade Barrett in the rumble just tossing people out left and right. He is show boating around the ring all cocky like and then boom out of no where Randy Orton's music begins to play and Wade Barrett starts to freak out. While freaking out Sheamus eliminates Wade Barrett. The next week on Smackdown! Wade Barrett claims that he isn't afraid of Randy Orton and that when Orton finally shows his face on Smackdown! he'll take him out permanently. At Elimination Chamber it is announced that the Smackdown! EC match will decide the Number one contender to Daniel Bryan vs Big Show. The EC match comes down to Sheamus vs Wade Barrett and again Orton's music begins to play and Barrett looks around the ring frantically trying to find Orton. When he turns around he is met by a Brogue Kick from Sheamus. The next night Barrett demands for Orton to stop playing his mind games and face him(Barrett) like a man. Teddy Long comes out and announces that Wade Barrett will face Randy Orton in an I Quit match. On Raw Barrett is going one on one with CM Punk and during their match a video package of all the people Randy Orton took out with the Punt plays and distracts Barrett enough for CM Punk to hit the GTS and win the match. Randy keeps playing these mind games on Barrett until Wrestlemania where he defeats Barrett in a twenty minute match where Barrett finally quits after Randy looks poised to punt him.

tl;dr: Randy returns at Wrestlemania in a match against Barrett

You could substitute randy orton for undertaker in that situation and it would still work...

But your idea seems good. But they won't leave him off of tv for so long since next to Cena he is the top guy... But I'd much prefer your idea to him returning at a house show...

I like it, but it's eerily familiar to the Undertaker vs Orton WM21 build-up and match - except Orton is now Undertaker.

I would have Randy return this week on Smackdown attacking Barrett during a match with Sheamus, using weapons setting up a Street Fight for the Rumble.

Yes, I dont want Orton in the Rumble and winning it, which is expected.

I wouldn't have Orton return until after the Rumble, so he won't win it. He can continue his feud with Barrett, and maybe win the EC match so that hes the WHC going into Mania. Then him and Barrett can have a match for the WHC at Mania.

Randy Orton returns at the RR but not for wrestling, just to screw Wade Barrett out of the RR match

Yes, I dont want Orton in the Rumble and winning it, which is expected.

Anyone that has a match at RR can still participate in the Rumble, so regardless he will be in it.

I actually prefer keeping him out until WM and having him play mind games. No wrestling until then, would give him time to really heal up his back even if he does do the occasional house show.
