Wrestlemania 28: John Cena vs. The Rock *KEEP IT HERE!*

It's a second version of Rock/Hogan at WM 18 with Rock in Hogan's place and Cena in Rock's place. Legend gets cheered, current main gets booed. The current guy wins, passing of the torch, mutual show of respect. Yadda, yadda, yadda.

Actually, The Rock & Hogan faced off twice against each other. Why do people seem to forget that. The Rock won both matches though.

Actually dude, I wouldn't expect either match to have a title because neither one needs it. A title is usually only used to attract a certain match up that needs extra attention. The hype for those two matches you named alone will be a selling point. Hell, The Rock alone is a major selling point.

P.S. I don't want to see any kind of handshake at the end as it will just cheapen everything.

Actually dude, Wrestlemania 26 main event was HBK vs. Taker & it didn't consist of WWE or WHC Title. I just have to disagree, as Rock/Cena doesn't need a title involved & more then likely won't have a title involved. The Taker/HHH match may have a title involved depending on the stipulations involved with the match.

As for a handshake at the end of the match? It's not needed. Yeah, The Rock said he respects Cena & such. Funny thing is I haven't heard Cena say he respects The Rock. Most fans don't want to see The Rock shake hands with Cena. It will be bad enough if Cena wins but for some reason this match just isn't coming across as a "passing of the torch" kind of match like Rock/Hogan. The Rock/Cena is coming across as two guys who just want to beat the crap out of each other. I mean WWE is not even marketing it as the past vs. the present or the icon vs. the icon like they did with Rock/Hogan. They are just marketing The Rock/Cena as the dream match people have been waiting for. I think many people are thinking this is just a clear cut win for Cena & really I don't think it's that clear cut especially if this will be The Rock's last match. People were very unhappy that The Rock left the WWE for 7 years let alone thinking his last match was going to be with a loss. I know many people are still not happy HBK's last match ended with him losing. WWE may give The Rock the win but just have Cena look strong through out. I mean everything for Wrestlemania 28 is being put together around The Rock.

Yeah Hbk/Taker last year had no championship in it, but the match before it did. And that's what im talking about, one of the two matches have to have a title involved, and I think the Cena/Rock match will be the one.

And i'm not talking about kayfabe when it comes to the handshake or hug or w/e. I'm talking about them showing each other respect in terms of REAL LIFE. and truth is, wether you like it or not that'll probably be the case after the match, regardless the outcome. Just like it has before with Hogan/Rock, that was real, and even last year with HBK/Taker that was real also. And others before those.

And in terms of kayfabe...
John Cena did say that he grew up idolizing Rock andis the reason he is in the business today, and doesn't know why Rock doesn't like him. So you can assume from that that he does respect him and wants to earn Rock's approval.

Shawn Michaels rings a bell, HHH too. Maybe with HHH was not that good of a match at Mania but he still came up as a strong challenger.

Well pretty muh the fact is that after a few finishers, they won't be able to pin each other and the end will come with Cena countering the Rock's Sharpshooter into the STF for the second time into he match, then after a minute or so, The Rock will tap out giving Cena the biggest victory of his career.

Then they will probably shake hands and the Rock will finnaly retire completely from Wrestling.

The only time I have seen the Rock losing and and came out as weak or looking bad was against Goldberg, that match was a stinker.

I kinda disagree with a few things here. I don't think it's really a big deal that he lost in his last match to date which was at WrestleMania XX if you consider looking at the guys he faced & how things turned out for their futures (Orton going on to win the world title months later, Batista winning the world title one year later while Flair & Foley continued on to have great matches). To guys like Randy Orton & Batista, it was more like a stepping stone for them to be able to face two legends in their first WrestleMania ... as for Mick Foley, well he can say he squared off with two future world champions in his first match back in four years (at the time). So I really don't see why it's a major issue. It's kinda like saying fans are still pissed off because Stone Cold Steve Austin lost in his final match (to The Rock) before he retired.
