Yep, they've cooled down a lot since their hot start too.

Grizz had to trade Gay either now or in the off-season anyways. They probably made the right choice by doing it now though.

I would have done it in the off-season, the team had a chance to win a title.

Nah, honestly. They would've been a 4th/5th seed. I couldn't see them beating any of the top 3 in the West in a playoff series. They were close and had pieces in place, but that cap killed them. Their hand was forced to make the move. And when you have the opportunity to make a trade and the player is healthy you do it, never know what could happen down the road. Injuries could take place and might end up shooting yourself in the foot.
