Time for some updates on tonight's matches.
GWS were very very impressive tonight In their first match against the bulldogs they fought hard and just came short with the final score
Western Bulldogs 35 defeated GWS 30

In the second Game Collingwood came out with a young inexperienced team but still managed to pull off the win against the dogs.
Collingwood 26 bulldogs 19

GWS came out strong against Collingwood and took the early lead. Collingwood showed their class and fought back to have the lead.
GWS kept coming and in the end just fell short against one of the best teams in the league. But still a tight match that came down to the wire!
Collingwood 35 defeated GWS 32!

Just a note on the first match. GWS's first goal was kicked by a young player named Curtly Hampton who comes from Alice Springs where i grew up. I've played against him on numerous occasions and it was good to see him do so well!

Tonight we see Van's favourite team Fremantle in their first outings under new coach Ross Lyon.
Tonight they take on West coast and Essendon in their first matches of 2012 Should be a great night of football in Perth!
