Best Match: I'll go with the main event. Mainly because of the story behind it. UK's numbers are getting to be a determining factor in a lot of what they do, so I'm looking forward to seeing where Black and Rhodes go from here, realizing they may need more help they originally thought in just having the 2 of them take on the 3 that is The UK.
Best Promo: Jericho/Aries. Set up the storyline quite nicely and it's making their title match a very anticipated one. Also Jericho, can't seem to go 2 phrases with mentioning Punk
Move on, bro
Best Piece of Booking: I'll go with the Divas tourney, since the race to see who will the final 5 women competing at the Bash for a shot at the gold at SummerSlam is getting really close and anything can happen so I really look forward to seeing who those finals 5 ladies will be and which 2 will square off at SS.
Best Debut *when applicable*: I wanna go with The Kings but it's not in me to be selfish. So Sandow gets this one. They had debut matches so it counts
Any Piece of Booking You Didn't Like: 2 things actually. Two contradictions in character really. First is Punk looking on every 2 seconds for the mystery man during his match with Cena, when in the beginning promo, a statement was made by Punk that he would not let this mystery man get under his skin. It made Punk look weak and unfocused at the task at the hand (defeating Cena), I mean he knew the masked man would appear so all he really had to do was wait and be ready to strike should that happen, rather keep looking on almost in fear like he did which in the end indeed cost him the match.
The second was Cena. Why? Choosing to rescue Punk, helping him up and shaking hands out of respect was all fine and dandy for a face but the proceeding rap in which not only he makes fun of Punk but it made it so in a heel like fashion to me was extremely out of character.
Yo, Yo Yo, It's been too long now, too, too long
Punk, I proved you should stay at home, wearing your thong
There may have been a masked man, but you still didn't win
But with this defeat, you throw your title hopes in a bin
This makes Cena look like a spoiled brat who when he wins has to rub it in the loser's face, not a quality fitting in one of the top faces if the fed unless the direction you're looking to transition him into is in fact towards becoming a heel.
Faces need to be face, not only through their actions but their promos as well and this was a promo that gave me (as an audience member, so to speak) a mixed feeling towards Cena and whether he is a face or becoming a heel. So define that and run with it, next Raw.
Any Matches and/or Promos That Could've Been Improved: The Kane promo for 2 things, is he now going to be unmasked? Uncertainty in that regard due to an unmasked picture of him being used made the promo weird for me and second, hearing from Batista during said promo might have been good or showing how that there is more to Batista then just lying in wait for a chance to strike, if that is what you plan on doing.
Any Other Positives: Stellar promos from Sandow/Hogan, the tag teams and from The UK.
Any Other Constructive Criticism: Follow the changes made in character of our versions of the characters we use vs the ones in real life. I touched on this subject earlier, so hopefully it sticks.
Overall Show Grade: Knowing there wont another Raw for well over 2 weeks, makes Zero a sad man but overall it was a decent show that to me gets a B+
