We all know that this business in made of cycles... The Rock left WWE after a few movies and dedicate to that... Cena took his place in wrestling and now he will also (hopefully soon) leave wrestling to move into Hollywood. Now Orton seems to be the guy taking over the "Face of the company" role... So, if you look at it this way, Orton will be the next "Cena"

For those who talk so much about the "5 move set of doom"... LETS GET REAL...!!! that's wrestling... A wrestler MUST get those moves in order to be identified by them.. Think of the great Superstars, and you'll see that you will not be able to remember more than 5 moves each... THAT IS THE POINT...!!!

The amount of damage caused by those moves is highly relative, how much damage does "People's elbow", "The pedigree", "Hogan's Leg drop" caused...?? Its all about the theatricals of the movement... RKO is one of the few moves that makes crowds jump from their seats... This is a FACT, if you don't believe it, I invite you to review the last PPV's and check it out.

Cena has stated several times that he will never leave wrestling for hollywood and has been super critical of The Rock for doing so.
However I am in agreeance with your further point about wrestlers moves. Also what I find ridiculous is that once a person becomes associated with a move, noone else can perform it. Anywhere. Ever. *smh*

Santino for example. He looks like he could have become a great tactical wrestler w/ comedian stand-up routines, but instead his Finisher was changed to a pressure point pinch called the Cobra, and he has a long list of common Diva moves.


Side-Note: I liked his in-ring back an forth bickering with Chris Jericho when Jericho was trying to figure out who in the hell he was.

See, this is half the problem. Let the indy's be the indy's and the big global corporations be ....whatever it is they are. The two will never meet again, the WWE is a different beast, even TNA is and the only place you will find the style of wrestling that appeals so much to true fans will remain in the indy's. Sorry, it's just a fact and one I'm sure you're probably already aware of.

I know that. WWE is more focused on storylines and less about wrestling. Thats why its crappy but for some reason the storyline picks up the slack. TNA NOW, not back then, is on its way to be WWE or WCW. If somehow they combined storylines of WWE and the past wrestling action of TNA then certainly the fan base will be pouring the company with enough money that the employees and wrestlers wouldn't have issues. But this is a different point...

I guess indy shows doesn't have that strict "order" that wrestlers should have their moves of doom to completely take out and get the win on the opponent.
