CM Punks Worst Opponent: Elijah Burke (Di'angelo Dinero)

This is great because I enjoy talking trash. My least favorite opponent; does anyone even remember Elijah Burke? Oh, he was terrible. He is absolutely the worst. Absolutely the worst. Talk about a diva. Man oh man, sorry if you liked him."
Wow, I love CM Punk overall, but really. I think Burke's characters were meant to be very, cocksure. Especially as "The Pope". So, for probably only the second time ever, I'm gonna disagree with Punk on this one.

I figured it'd be appropriate on the TNA thread. But It could be put in the WWE one as well.

Hmmm, interesting because I always liked Elijah Burke. He is charismatic and a good in ring preformer but I guess back then he wasn't.

If CM Punk said it then it must be true.

CM Punk is the messiah of Pro Wrestling!

Dont take everythin Punk says as pure gold.

Each and everyone here have a brain. If u like Elijah then good.

    I personally disliked him.

Punk thinks he was his worst opponent. This is just his opinion.

Well that is one thing but if Punk didn't lie him he should have his reasons and those are just for him to know. I mean Burke can be very good but that doesn't mean he s going to be liked by everyone and like I said, Punk just probably doesn't like him at all.

I wouldn't talk to us like we are stupid. I do understand it is his opinion. I learned the difference between fact and opinion in Elementary school. If you read my statement more closely, you would have understood that I was sure it was a character thing, and not a personal thing.

People themselves are stupid. A person individually can be smart. Once you figure out that you need to talk to us as a person, and not as people, the more respect you will earn. You won't get responses trying to take you down a peg on the ego meter.

Maybe. I do think that it had something to do character wise though. Neither statement will be known for sure until someone states the "Why" aspect of it.

Punk is entitled to his opinion if that's what he thinks.

Not a major Pope fan but I also wouldn't say he's the worst. If that's what Punk thinks then that's what he thinks

Does Punk not realize that even if you have a vast majority of fans behind you, you're mouth will eventually get them to turn on you? His mouth is beginning to remind me of Hogan's: I honestly do believe Hogan doesn't mean wrong cuz the guy really does take his "Hulkamaniacs" to heart, but being on top of the business, can make you lose your head.. Punk's past interview's were full of humbleness, and now they seem to be the complete opposite. I do believe that Vince wants him to be some sort of mouthpiece for the Internet marks, and sometimes I think that Punk doesn't even mean half the shit he says nowadays.. His random verbal attack on Chris Brown backfired for the simple fact that, yea, Chris Brown is an idiot, but why bring it up now? And Brown only have him the Chelsea Handler/ Beth Phoenix treatment.. Some of the few media sites that covered it, made fun of Punk. Triple H's promo on Punk, covered everything that he really is.

Huge Pope fan here, anyone from the Impact! section will tell you that. I believe he is the greatest wrestler to never be used by either TNA or the WWE. The reason he isn't being pushed is because he isn't liked backstage because a lot of people do think he is a diva backstage. He carries himself like he carries himself in the ring which I think is great, but for his coworkers it probably gets annoying. I think CM Punk hated working with Burke because of his loud mouth, but to me this is like the kettle calling the pot black.

I can buy that. I know that Bret Hart carried himself as his character outside the ring. If he was heel, he played heel to the public. If he played face, he was the nicest guy on the planet.
