There's a rumor going around that Bioware is going to make an ME3 announcement today. Fingers crossed that it's single player content.

Any idea on the magnitude of the possible impending announcement?
If it's a big one, perhaps it's something to do with the next installment in the series?

Any speculation on the magnitude of the announcement is just that. Speculation.

Good morning! #MassEffect fans should keep an eye out for news that'll come out later today :-)

There is the Leviathan DLC that supposed in the works. The DLC that voice actor Anthony Skordi is claiming to have been a part of. And apparently there are files hidden in the Extended Cut DLC that reference it. So there's a possibility that this is the announcement.

Or it could be something different. Supposedly Bioware want to put out a single-player DLC that focuses on Shepard.

Course I'd gladly trade all that away for a 4th Mass Effect game.

Interesting. Can't wait for it whatever it is (that is unless of course it does indeed turn out to be a Wii demo related announcement).

Regarding future installments, I'm sure I read somewhere that the series is continuing. The story of Sheperd is obviously over (unless they go back to do a prequel or something), but I'm sure they've said something about continuing the story beyond Sheperd's story.

Some new DLC for ME3 though would be more than welcome. I think expecting an announcement on a new game this early is a bit optimistic!
