THQ had to let go of quite a few staff members and even its CEO had to take a hefty pay cut. THQ is going through some challenging times. Sadly, its challenges continue to come now that global athletic shoe brand Adidas has filed a lawsuit against the game publisher for failing to launch a game with an Adidas promotional tie-in.
Adidas has filed a lawsuit asking THQ for $10.6M due to breach on contract. Supposedly, THQ failed to launch a fitness game with tie-ins to Adidas’ MiCoach training aids range. If that isn’t bad enough, Adidas is also asking for a court injunction that will prevent THQ from selling MiCoach rights to other game publishers. Adidas claims that THQ has refused to turn over materials it has developed so Adidas can have another developer complete the fitness game. According to the lawsuit, Adidas and THQ agreed to develop a game that ties in the MiCoach electronic training aids. The deal was supposed to have been struck in December 2010. However, the game, going by the working title of MiCoach 24/7, did not launch in January 2012 as originally planned because THQ had dropped out of the project in December 2011.

Sims annoys the hell out of me

But that's a shame you don't get small titles, the majority of great games I've ever played are from a small game company

Weren't so bothered about Mass Effect 3, but I was pretty pissed about Fifa Street. I went and got my refund from there at the weekend

I didn't know about this untill Friday.. went to collect my ME3 which I pre-orderd last year and then got told in store about whats going on! They gave me my refund and put an Extra £5 on my game card which was pretty nice of them.. Had to get the game at Tesco's in the end.. The game is amazing though so well worth the fuss to get it!

Well although Game's the biggest video game distributor in the UK, it's far from being the only one, so I'm not really too annoyed about it to be honest.

That's where I buy my games from and that's where I have a loyalty card. It has at least £50 on it, so I'll probably wait and see if it closes, and buy loads of stuff in the "Closing Down" sale if that ever happens.
