You know The E' loves this kind of icon vs legend matches, they have a good impact on casual fans, because you know they don't have to worried about kayfabe or other stuff

The match has built up "entertainmet/twitter" era so that's the pumpkinreason of all the goofy, playing with the crowd lately, the business is different these days

If the match is going to pumpkinsuck???, could be

Is the match all the IWC has their eyes sett off???, no

And I for one sir, got out of the water years ago. Now he is just an old, once entertaining wrestling legend. Coming back to pout from the turn bucket, shout Boooooootz to Assssssezzzzz and pick up a massive pay cheque. Couple that with Mr "You can't pin me (cleanly)" and I'm supposed to get excited and look forward to this match?
well said. Rocky hasn't done much to impress me with his shtick. Cena has switched up some of his M.O. and I think Rock has brought that out of him, so I'll give him credit where it's due, but I want the Rock we had before survivor series up against the Cena there is right now and then we've got a powder keg worth watching. It's like they switched bitch roles. I don't get it. Let the reigns off both of them and have a true worked shoot and I'm back in.

Peter has an excellent point. Rock vs Cena NEEDS to be clean. There is no point in having The Miz interfere in the biggest match of the year. It doesn't matter if the build-up wasn't great (Thought it was pretty good if I say so myself ). People want to see a clean match and wants to see who will win between Cena and The Rock.

Answer something for me: The "five moves of doom" received that nickname because he always does them in a row, correct? Someone said Rock has "seven moves of doom" but the rock doesn't always do those 7 (if not more moves the Rock knows) in a row. So that is inaccurate. I could be wrong. The only moves Rocky does in a row are spinebuster, people's elbow or Rock bottom, people's elbow. The rest of his moves are spread out.

You're right. The Rock has a limited moveset but doesn't do them in a sequence. Cena and The Rock maybe limited in the ring but that still hasn't stopped them from having great matches as seen before.

Correct me if I am wrong, but there has not been a match in recent memory with this much tension and genuine dislike between two performers heading into a match. That is what will propel this match beyond any other because of how much these two dislike each other. With each promo you feel the tension increase between the two to the point where I wouldn't be surprised to see a legitimate fight between the two. Not a wrestling match, but a straight up fist fight.

Ok, I will. It's scripted! For all any of us know these guys crack open a cold one and laugh at how they at play us when they are both in the same place. I think it's quite sweet that people still buy in to believing that rivalries are real.

The Royal Rumble is the largest singles match ever.

Jim Ross has stated that the Rock and John Cena genuinely don't like each other backstage. Hell it was reported on this site that Vince McMahon and other WWE executives love the fact that Cena and the Rock don't like each other because of the interest it gains with the fans that anything is possible. I know wrestling is scripted, but to tell me that these two like each other backstage is unbelievable. Would someone who genuinely likes another wrestler call him out for writing his promo on his wrist?
