Why Nexus SUCKS - Worse Storyline Of The Year

I actually somewhat agree with the OP. Raw is thisclose to coming off my DVR list b/c of this storyline. It's dull, repetitive, and senseless. This far in, I should understand exactly why this group exists and what their aim is. Plus, most stables like this are done with established stars, people who you could actually see being able to take the company down or dominate the other stars. The idea that all of this is being done by guys the average wrestling fan didn't even know existed less than a year ago is ridiculous. Also people keep harping on Barrett...am I missing something? A 30-year old dude who looks 37 with a stuffy accent and his grandfather's haircut is exciting how exactly? He has zero charisma and puts on boring matches just like the rest of the stable. Still, I disagree that they would have been much better with Bryan as their leader. While he is definitely the best wrestler of the group, his promos are painful at times. In my opinion, where they really messed up is when Cena joined. What would've been totally awesome was if Cena had been revealed to be behind Nexus all along, a la a Hulk Hogan Bash at the Beach moment. Can you imagine? The audience would've rioted. When I first heard Cena was joining that's what I thought they were going to do, but no instead we have Nexus and the anonymous GM holding SuperCena hostage...(yawn).

Barrett? No charisma? Then why does he have so much heat? His promos are on the money and can get so much heat. Jericho even praises Barrett. His best matches are on FCW. But the best match that he has shined was HIAC. I thought he was done when Cena AA'ed him but he kicked out and it went interesting from there. I was surprised how the match went. Barrett can actually hang with the top guys.

The man has ring ability and he is good on the mic and he is headed towards big things in the WWE.

In time. Like any new guy in the business, he isn't there YET.

Some of us(check out the Wade Barrett thread I started in the WWE section) think he does have the tools to be a great. He has done a great job as a heel now.

Why hasn't Vince done anything? Well the angel has all along been that some power higher up is holding their hand over Nexus, and the RAW-GM has been giving them easy breaks all along. I dont know if Creative has it all planned out, or if they play by ear, but, story-wise they have relatively free reigns. They're obvious goal was to A) get contracts they felt they deserved B) Win titles. Now I can think of several possible backers who would like to see the established stars culled and humiliated. Take your pick.

And what WWE accomplishes is to make the fans familiar to fresh wrestlers, some of whom may have many years at the top level ahead of them. Others will without doubt end as jobbers or be future endeavoured.

Win-win. And Barrett has what it takes to hang with the big boys, both in-ring and on the mic.

Just because Wade Barett & Nexus get heat doesn't automatically make them great heel and that 'they are doing their job well'. Thats what everyone says when anyone gets boo'd.

They booing Nexus not cause they are great heels, but because no one wants to see them and they suck real bad. Nexus heat = X pac heat.
Vickie heat = real heel heat. Thats the difference.

Noone wants to see them? I want to see them. A number of us want to see what they are going to do. I'll admit Nexus as a group, they are lacking.
But individually, you are not seeing something.

I see something in Barrett in particular. I started that Barrett thread for a reason. We can see Barrett's potential in the ring and in the mic. Maybe you are just a hard one to be impressed.

I do know that its your opinion, but I suggest you watch John Cena vs Wade Barrett in HIAC. Both were great in the ring and the psychology was at the money.

Higher power? WTF, there is no higher power in the WWE other than Vince.
They made impact LMAO yea right!!! Why are they such a huge threat? They lost at summerslam (alliance won at Invasion, and made a bigger impact & were more of a threat). They lost more than they have ever won.

They have lost most of their matches. They can't even cleanly beat Orton or Cena. They only win by cheating, or teaming up 7 on 1. And don't tell me they are heels so they do it, it just makes them look much weaker. Sure heels do that stuff but not all the time. HHH as heel in evolution won matches by himself also without help, so did guys in Alliance.

if vince didnt want them there they wouldnt be there,they have made raw more exciting and quite a few people who i know who dnt have any interest in wwe know who the nexus are,they were little girls crying at my boys school for god sake when cena joined them,now thats an impact that i feel vince wanted to make,he obviously knows what he is doin so just enjoy it or dont watch it,SIMPLES.
