I was referring to humans.

On another subject, looks like I've pissed quite a few people off with my "controversial" viewpoints. Ah well. Christians who follow their faith will be persecuted and despised so I can't say i didn't see it coming.

It still occurs with humans too, it's just rare. It's all good, it's about discussions and rebuttals and junk. Don't be like that, we all get persecuted no matter what we believe it. Some people believe there are gods, some don't, it's not bad or anything. I didn't say anything about your opinion because I respect it. You're raised that way and I can't change since it isn't any of my business. *shrugs*

Homosexuals having the right to marriage - if they love each other, then let them get married
Openly homosexual characters in all media - wouldn't change my opinion of them, if they are entertaining etc. then sexuality shouldn't be a problem

I'm sorry but I have to disagree with you here. Christians who go out of their way to force their beliefs on others and adamently refuse to listen to or acknowledge anyone else's viewpoint on a subject will be despised - why? Because it's facist and ignorant.
I am a practising Christian, christianed at 2, confirmed at 16 - I am CofE and I err towrds Evangelical views.

The quotes from the Bible that have been posted - this is a real bone of contention with me. That particular line that gets trotted out whenever a Christian who opposes homosexual rights and beliefs is complete and utter codswallop! Religion and what you take from the Bible is a personal choice for every single person. As a Christian, you will, inevitably, read into and decipher what YOU want the Bible to be telling you. That particular 'quote' comes out every damn time and how a person interprets it determines what it says.

As a Christian and as a person, these are my views;

Homosexuality - This is not gay people - gay means happy, I wish people would stop misusing the word. Whether you be Homosexual, bi-sexual, hetrosexual, transgender or otherwise - that is entirely your choice and I fail to see why people think they have the God given right to tell anyone else that their lifestyle choices are wrong. Who made you judge and jury? Each to their own - why we segregate homosexuals into a little 'community' is beyond me - I thought the majority of the world were civilised?

Same sex marriage - Again - why on earth there should be any debate about whether they 'can' is beyond me. The Bible doesn't say a damn thing about who can marry who.

Transgender - Quite frankly something I've come inot contact with rarely but - are they happier now? Yes? Good, let it be, it's not for us to judge.

Abortion - I strongly believe that until a man has stood in the shoes of a female that is in the terrifying situation of an unwanted pregnancy - through any reason - they have no right to judge. And until I find myself in that position, neither do I.

Of course. That's to be expected. But if someone is willing to listen to my beliefs in an open discussion and said discussion is to be free from prejudice or attacking, then I will express my beliefs. I get what you say about trying to force it upon people, which is contrary to the free will that god gives people, but not listening to others? If I've been raised in a certain cult or religion nearly my entire life and someone tries to debate with me on a subject concerning said religion or practice that's radical to my faith, is indifference or contempt not a natural reaction? I can choose not to listen to a viewpoint no matter how sound and reasonable that person thinks it is or a group of people thinks it is.

On the biblical quotes I've posted concerning homosexuality, what exactly do you believe is foolish about them? Who's to say that doesn't mean exactly what it says? Where's the implied ambiguous nature of said biblical quote? And by the way, that's not the only part of the Bible that deals with homosexuality. There are quite a few.
