I agree with you on this one Toolie. I don't like Tensai that much. I can't really see him breaking the mid card wall.... ever. They'll probably put him in a month or so worth of Squash matched, and eventually the fans will get bored with him.

He's a better wrestler and has had better wrestling matches than the one squash match on Raw. You have to give it time. They'll throw a few more squash matches in before they put him in a feud. It just depends on how long CM Punk/Jericho feud will last.

After hearing of his return I watched some of his Japan stuff on Youtube (oh how I hate watching wrestling on Youtube). It didn't impress me. Yes he knows a lot of wrestling moves, but his delivery is often slow and clunky. He did so well in Japan because of his size in comparision to most of the Japanese talent. He was huge compared to a lot of their top guys. If you sent Brodus there for a couple of years he would be their champion just as easily.

Here's a huge problem with the WWE. They don't realise squash matches are pointless and boring as fucking hell for the fans. We don't find them impressive, unless the character is legit scary - and that hasn't happened since original Kane. New guys need to be showcased or, better still, talked up by a manager. Imagine how over Bobby Heenan could have gotten Tensai? The guy effectively made The Missing Link, King Kong Bundy and Hercules Hernandez look, feel and sound like a legitimate threat. That takes some doing.

Squash matches belong in the 80's, not in the present with the exception of Sheamus vs DB at WM28. It really looks cheap and pathetic for both Tensai and Godfather Jr.

Hes got a character thats different from the rest. That's nice to see once in a while. Hes also a good wrestler, and has the tools to become a maineventer.

Just wait and see how far he gets. Maybe he'll become another guy on Superstars, or maybe he'll become a regular main eventer. We wouldn't know unless he got a chance under his new character.
